    Try TE/HU, get 1:30 sec unflinching with wand lover then continue using hunter body, use wand normal attack + elements of your choice then use hunter counter block when down spam calibur + 3 normal sword attack. Wand normal attacks regenerate more PP than sword normal attack.
    Use wand PB for dishing damage.

    The only reason I use Wand on Techer is that I'm leveling up sub-classes while farming N-Cubes with my Techer 20lvl Main class with dailies and UG. Wand is absolutely horrible weapon, every move, even normals, have animation lock (glhf with gigas) and if u wait to parry incoming attack, not only u r giving up potential filler attack but also can lose vertical position. Use Figher's or Hunter's weapons instead and throw away Wand!

      Just get the skill that let's u charge techs in the air. Boom. Fixed. Now you can charge attacks and keep attacking in air with wands. Problem fixed. Yeah, nothing like the sword attack that makes it SUPER EASY to just hit and connect combos in the air and continue blocking, but you can do the same with wands. Now talis...... yeah I haven't figured out how to be "good" with them. Yet.

  • @Einhander

    @Witcream Media Your wand drop attack experiment has a flaw. Dive attack does not create a photonic fury. The Wand attacks themselves are not influenced by wand element only photonic fury. So the reason you see similar numbers is because there is no elemental multiplier, thus crits should net you the same result. You would have to do crit tests on the photonic fury itself, where you will see the 1.2x difference between non element vs element. Glissen being an element weapon has some benefits for PB and Element down accumulation, but the attacks themselves still register as physical, its likely one of the reasons the weapon potential has a built in lightning weak modifier to cover for this design choice.
    With that said, Glissen will confuse things because you actually cant have non-element photonic fury. It naturally sets the photonic as lightning. This has benefits/consequences for Wand Element revoke as it will always reset glissen back to lightning.
    Also be careful of your DPS reliance, as weakspot damage 1.5x does have slightly more consequences for Techter as things like Wave Crash not hitting a weak spot due to various reasons can be outperformed from a uncharged tech that can without issue. This of course has physical/element down consequences but potency and the multipliers you can consistently hit given each situation should also be acknowledged.
    Regarding Photon Blasts also recognize that Wand PB provides both physical and element down accumulation vs Talis that only provides elemental but to a higher degree. So while damage is higher, you sometimes need to make more tactical decisions as having more down states can outweigh PB damage during one down state when you consider multiweapons etc etc.

    • @WitcreamMedia
      @WitcreamMedia  2 роки тому

      Thanks for clarifying the whole Wand Element issue, Einhander! I do am curious, does photonic fury damage add up to drop attack without a 2nd hit? Because I did try landing crit hits but was looking at the raw physical damage and not the photonic fury proc so I'm sure that's where I missed it. Trois De for example, achieved that damage via formula when I placed the elemental damage bonus of Wand Element Change.
      Troi: (642+233-534) * (1.63 * 1.01 * 1.10 * 1.15)/5 = 142 + 20% = 171 (Crit) [Drop attack * 1% Augment * Main Class Bonus * Elemental Wand multiplier]
      Speaking of Glissen, so in short, it adds points to both physical and elemental downs, but more in line with physical?
      Really, thanks for adding more info! It's really nice to have a fellow creator drop by and check what's up :D
      PS: For PBs, it would be better to cast Talis during physical downs (to add points to elem down) and vice versa, is that what you meant with tactical decisions? Just wanted to clarify 😅

    • @Einhander
      @Einhander 2 роки тому +1

      @@WitcreamMedia So not too sure I can comment on the damage formula as I am not entirely sure where the numbers are coming from.
      But yes all attacks that or not technique based naturally do physical down accumulation. Glissen adds a fraction of that as element. Wand has high ratios but for things like sword it is 1/10. Now one thing we know is that Glissen has a 0 next to the icon, this could change in the future if elemental weapons start getting additional stats.
      For PBs that is one strategy. For me I don't believe Techter should be holding its PB until a down state and use it as soon as possible to trigger a down state to better increase your chances of A) more PB and B) more down states. UQs are a bad example given the other mechanics, but things like Vets its can make clearing that much faster. When using say Streak Caliber during down, you aren't going to compete in PB damage per se but it won't eclipse you either.
      Outside of Glissen Wand can sometimes be a coinflip as to whether you proc an elemental down vs physical and depending on the enemy will occur in tight succession. So dropping a PB early to allow you 2 down states using streak caliber to me is better than 1 down state with 1 PB.
      If you are targeting a weak spot such as Daiytal chest consistently, it does not trigger a physical down (only the feet) so tactically you would want to favor elemental because thats the only one that can trigger no matter where you attack.

      @@WitcreamMedia btw if u use a talis with tech/force set up. U benefit from both skill tree and still remain 10% damage bonus for main class weapon.
      U can do stuff like max out PP recovery and HP to PP from force skill tree to benefit every other class that need force sub, go for the lighting and ice stacking (and some rob or pp max increase skill if u like).
      Then at Tech skill tree dumb point into deband/shifta, talis skill and 1 point for each passive and healing skill.

    • @HansPeter-iv9ck
      @HansPeter-iv9ck Рік тому

      I know you asked this one month ago and maybe dont need an answer anymore but here i go anyways.
      Tech potencies are the same. Weapon damage is the same. Hence most Techters go for a Rod/Talis instead of Wand.
      And no a Shifta Techter will not out DPS a Force because Force has Photon Flare aswell as higher potencys in its class Tree. Shifta pretty much only sets you even with an unbuffed Force. But against Forces Photon Flare you will have no chance in hell. If you wanna play a more solo focused class you should go with Force. Outside of UQ,Trainias and Purples you will feel pretty irrelevant as a Techter.

    Techter+force equals the nastiest pp dumping mage with huge talis boosts from force. Combining the 2 pp boosts from the classes allows tech spam that doesnt run out till the timer on them does (like 30 to 40 second god mode and they stack 2ce). The constant photon blasts and compound techniques if you know what you're doing (compound stacks 2ce) plus element tech being a bit broken you do way more mob dmg then anyone. Chain lightning is ridiculous. I feel like a sith. Also with 2 compounds and a photon blast (you can switch then use a diff one immediately) you do wayy more sustained high burst dmg then any class using all 3 in a row. Just takes a bit to build up. Chunks tf out of huge dolls.... Im a POE player (as far as mmorpgs) who plays ngs now cause the last few seasons POE nerfed loot and my summoner build into the dirt. Techter feels super underrated and a bit broken and i love it. Its a patience pays off build for sure

    I tried to type this comment earlier but it seems to have disappeared. Anyway, after hyping you, I feel very un-appointed!
    Jokes aside, having played Techter for a while now ( I think we chatted in your other video about my experience with Techter), I have actually found that the best DPS skill (even better than Wave Crash) is the Normal attack. "How come?" I hear you ask! Well Wave Crash sits at 143 Frames for 380 total damage and the normal attack sits at 118 frames for 330 total damage. The Normal attack is broken up into 3 with 38 frames for the first two hits and 42 for the final hit, so by the time I would have finished 1 Wave Crash, I would also be 1/3 of the way through a second Normal, and the longer a fight goes, the larger the gap becomes.
    Next, when it comes to burst/downed phases, Charged Swift Smash wins out because it is more satisfying to land and The damage is pretty good too. And if you nail the charge times it is only 60 frames + the swing animation which is 70 frames= 130Frames, 10 less than Wave crash. You can hit for about 1.5k-2k without Augs and with a Ranger buff (this was me using a Resurgir at +16). Comparatively, you hit for a total of 1233 with the Trois De Wand in the video using Wave Crash (6:02-6:06)
    Finally, based on the chart below, Talis PB hits for a higher Element down damage so it is worth using instead of Wand PB for that reason if you wanted to weigh pros and cons.
    docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/e/2PACX-1vQj8D29IiNYuH3-Vx474oYbyjWNrbTcUDE6z4g6XuWYTvHAfPpufnGygZxenANvMzYrdVylc3TqeGZ3/pubhtml#

    • @Einhander
      @Einhander 2 роки тому +1

      Your frame data is off, normal attacks cannot technically outmatch wave crash outside of weakspot hit detection. Wave Crash sits at 98 frames while N1-3 sits at 118. Now weak spot hit detection changes things in addition to enemy attack patterns, wand parry windows, where yes normal attacks could win out, but not on a frame or potency comparison.
      Swift is underpowered and needs to be rebalanced when compared to other charged PAs. at 550 potency and 130 frames (frame perfect) its underpowered and not pp efficient when you look at things like Streak Caliber, or even wave crash if you remove PP management from the equation.

    • @WitcreamMedia
      @WitcreamMedia  2 роки тому

      Yoooooooooooooooooooooooo Good find my man! Never really thought of normal attacks to be completely honest! Was more focused on the PAs and how to get more out of it since I really felt disappointed that it only had 2 PAs to choose from so not much rotations.
      Wave Crash S1 should be peak DPS but it's gonna drain out PP quickly. With enough practice, I should be able to release the charged smash right away as I really found it a bit slower than Hunter :(
      Good find on the PBs as well! I guess it would be best to use both PBs depending on which downstate they are at with that information :D We appreciate the lessons, Ceimash! Release a video already! 😁😁😁

      @@Einhander Haha, I was waiting for you to show up! :D. This is something I should have chatted with you about as well.
      And I have now noticed my mistake too. Yes you are correct. Sorry @Witcream Media I made a booboo. Wave Crash is 98 frames. So the only reason I would still use Normals and Swift is, they feel better than using WC.
      And of course streak Caliber is amazing for damage BUT, just strictly speaking about Techter without comparing it to any class, I enjoy using Swift a lot more than Wave Crash.

      Videos aren't for me anymore. If I made videos, you'd probably get one like once every 3 months because I would spend so much time on it. And with how technical this game is, it would take more of my time that I am willing to give. I'd rather just chat with you guys and bounce ideas off you.

I hope we get more interesting PAs for Techter in the future because now I'm torn between Tech/Fi or Fight/Fo. Seems like Techter can even outshine Gu in terms of practical gameplay.
