I got the 1505 about a year ago as a gift and I’m planning on buying a few more to give away this Christmas. Everyone who has used mine has liked it. The 1505 does have storage for one extra blade. I use Stanley blades. Ace Hardware had a 100 count package on sale for like $5. They work great for me.

There is actually a little blade holder within the frame of the new FastBack. You have to open the blade to get to it

I found the blade storage interesting, had no idea it was there and did see it on another video. Going to look for it on mine.

The Milwaukee utility blades do last a bit longer . They say 5x longer but it’s more like 3x from my experience for normal use . Nothing beats a new blade when needed for a great score 👍👍

I'll keep the tiny screws in mind, thanks for sharing. Such an important part is always the hardest to find. FYI the wire stripper is near the blade. What's on the other side seems to stump every single owner. That is an emergency seat belt cutter. 😉👍 Pretty much no way of knowing it if you haven't searched for such a device before. However, I am surprised how a big company like Milwaukee missed including function labels on the packaging. 🤔 Seeing all the features explained with a quick glance is an instant sell marketing feature. 🤷‍♂✌

That new one, they're all like that. It's the release button. It seems to wiggle or move and cause just enough friction to stop it. Hold it down tight and center and it is the smoothest knife ever. The best I've ever had

I'll tell you what, the executives at Milwaukee are looking at the sales figures and high fiving right now, they struck gold with this design.

I thought so too until this week. Check out the video I just uploaded on the Fiskar Pro. Hate to say it, but I have a new favorite utility knife!

It has an Extra blade holder in the handle at the right side of the handle.

Wire clips are about to be a thing in the knife world because of old blades like this . We all like the wire clips , maybe a little thicker but yeah ease of use and a deep carry . This knife is loved by many who have used it for years years

The lanyard is used for tethering tools when working at heights as a requirement particularly in UK.

So I recently got the 48-22-1530 which is just an EDC knife like the one you reviewed. It has a spring- assisted opening but with a finger tang, which I prefer.
I really appreciate the strong wire clip as I carry my knives clipped to my pockets. It really is secure ( unlike my Leatherman clips). As it is new I have no feedback on the blade. It is partly serrated. Not sure I like that. I keep my knives sharp with a Trizor sharpener which uses the 18 degree angle. I have to hand grind many knives to that angle. So we'll see.

Hope you saw the blade storage on the latest fastback. One more blade

the plastic one does not open because the plastic is soft and the metal plate inside is not stiff enough. When you press the release button the case deforms and pinches the blade arm. I have the similar knife (48-22-1500) and I studied it in detail. The the case that's too flimsy and pinches the blade.

And hey! I really agree with Project Farm as a great website. Also like the Torque Test channel for impact tools. Lots of good tool channels out there. Project Farm really crams a lot of info into his videos. I have used his recommended tools a bunch and mostly agree. So my takeaway for you: shorten up your vids to the important info!

I’ve been ranting and raving about the 1901 but that new one looks like it works similar but the handle is thicker and doesn’t feel the same but still good . The one new one is thinner right ?
