Is the TS8000 Torch really worth the extra money?
Переглядів 47 тис.3 роки тому
Is the TS8000 Torch really worth the extra money?
LOL… this is a pretty good little meter … for low power (Cat I & II) work. I use it as a loaner (when techs come over to our place to do work - used medical equipment field) !!! My other multimeters are: Fluke 107 & 117, Greenlee DM65 & DM820A, Amazon Commercial 90DM600 (rebadged CEM with IP67), Ideal 61-486 (good meter but selling it). Thinking of keeping the 8009 for home needs and getting the Aneng AN870 for work loaner 🤔. Great video and you have this unit well pegged …
I'm a locksmith I've been using this tool for 10000 of my 15000 service calls. It's probably my favorite tool.......
That looks pretty solid
I'll take the Silky and an extra blade any day! And I'd get the slightly (1.5") longer version 170mm Pocket Boy. Not really a fair comparison.
thinkpads are the toyotas of the laptops
Just got this knife. It has no plastic in it. Only metal and rubber
This is a cut on the pull stroke, like stock Japanese wood working saws. When you are starting the cut, you are trying to start by pulling and pushing, that is why the difficulty. You have that habit from using your silky all the time. The Corona is not made to handle that way, so the difficulty in starting a cut is due to your habit….user error. Personally, I bought the Corona on the results of the Project Farm review, its price, and the fact that other UA-cam reviewers always have it in the top two they rate. I am not used to the Silky so perhaps am a bit prejudiced against it. Ha ha
I put my parts on a piece of diamond steel mesh, I folded the ends down to hold it about 8 inches above my bench. It worked well because flame gets around the whole part even underneath it. I made all kinds of stuff on it. The mesh warps and moves in the middle at first but the steel gets soft and it stops doing that after it's been red hot a few times.
Keeping it real
Map pro is only 130 degrees hotter than propane, waste of money.
I heard you can't purchase the v-flex online or Amazon. So where do we purchase the hayward v flex
Fiskar is expensive and ugly, but if you hold it once, you can't go back😂
Its "internal resistance" seems to increase over time.
comparing apples to oranges, I'll consider when they add the bits
As far as longevity for the 8000, not great. If you use it often the igniter button will wear out and fall out. Also the orifice size is extremely inconsistent from torch to torch. If you want a nice big, broad flame, get their "shrink wrap torch" and then screw the tip onto the 8000 if you want more control (the shrink wrap version is without the adjustment knob) If you find yourself using torches a lot, do yourself a favor and get one from a better brand when this one breaks. These are okay for occasional use but expensive and they just don't last. If you refill your 1lb propane bottles, make sure you use an inline filter to keep oil and other schmoo out of your torch. It'll foul it up and make your fingers stink.😂
I bought a pair after his review went live. They worked very well for me and I only used them on red. They were fine until March of this year (2024) and then the left glove would only stay on for 5 min and then turn off. Swapped batteries and no change. Contacted company and they got back to me right away and are honouring the 3 year warranty! They said out of stock but will be back in stock in October - about the time I would want them again anyway. They offered a full refund or said I could wait until back in stock. I elected to wait and will see how it goes. But overall was very satisfied with the gloves. (I use them when using my backpack blower to clear snow from my rental properties etc. Works great until about -25 C then not so well).
Looks like you've been grinding aluminum. Good way to hurt yourself. The pores plug up, the wheel overheats and "explodes".
😂 I’ve had this same set up for over 5 years. Works great and very clean look 👍🏽
How do you turn off the LED Work light without disassembling the screwdriver???
does this work upside down? I need to burn holes in some landscape fabric.
When the backboard is lowered down as far as possible what is the height from the ground to the tallest part of the unit? Just wondering for storage
its a no for me , i need my bottle opener and the screw driver fastback for the win.. My opinion
mine always showing "Currently unavailable." like no stock
I want this thing but I’m torn between going through hell to install it and paying hundreds to have it installed lol 😅
I just got this from Amazon. Was skeptical for the price. Does it show the actual amp draw as well as voltage from say like a motherboard or something? Thanks. Perfect vid for me
Great video i had the fiskars before i ever owned a fastback always thought they were over hyped but after i bent the pocket clip a little i loved the fiskars until it started falling apart my rubber grip started peeling off and then my screws fell out at work i found one in my pocket but lost one and couldn’t find a replacement so i bought the 1502 metal body fastback with the 5 blade storage and have never looked back i love the way it feels in my hand and it feels less bulky but has blade storage which i hated not having extra blades on me at work cutting boxes all day
amazon renewed laptops is a scam, they pretend laptops are fully covered by warranty, then the day the computer refuses to turn on they will decline their responsibility, and they even have a clause saying you need to remove all your files from the laptop. Imagine, you bought a gaming laptop with SSD, and you can't even put files on the SSD !! A bad scam don't buy from them
You could fix that belt clip by taking it off, sanding the tip to make it smooth, then bend it up to give a larger opening.
I grab the wheel with my hand, 25 years and no problems yet. I also use an impact driver to tighten/loosen the nuts, just one ugga-dugga though.
The product is NOT defect. The review is defect
After seeing that mess , tools. Parts, open boxes laying everywhere. Do you really think I am going to listen to anything you want to offer ? I am a carpenter and if my work area was allowed to get as trashed as your garage floor , I would not last out the day. I would be fired. If you are going to make videos I suggest you clean up your space to at least look a bit more professional.
Excellent review sir! How has the stand stood up over time as of today? Link for the blue wheel straps, please?
To mount on block wall, you would align the power cord to fixture with a joint between wall blocks, and run wire through joint to soil on back side of wall.
What did you use as support, at the bottom of the court, once you finished installing it?
I have the TS8000 and Brian is right. Insanely durable I too have an adapter hose to hook mine to any size bottle I want. It will run for hours and not overheat. I leave mine screwed to the bottle and I abuse the shit out of it. Leave it out in the rain, snow, for days or weeks, throw it in the back of my truck like it's a hammer fucker fires up and runs perfect every time I pull the trigger I'm very hard on equipment and this is one tool that has really really impressed me hot as shit too. Super durable. Super hot. I love it.
The piezo-electric igniter went out on mine. I'm kind of afraid to try fixing it since the torch still works I just have to light it.
Someone might post a video showing how easy it is to fix that.
@@troytaylor1913doesnt it come with lifetime warranty?
@@luanvu105 I'm not sure. I don't remember when or where I bought it.
Just ordered. Thanks.
This guy is a misinformed, he should research before he shoots a video. MAP-pro gas burns hotter (about 150 degrees hotter) than straight propane. Just google it. Map-pro gas is a little over three times the cost. Plumbers use MAP-pro gas when they are doing large thick projects where they need more heat because the thick heavy pipes require so much more heat. It is important to know that straight MAPP gas has not been made available since 2008.
How´s that laptop holding after 5 months of use? Can you tell me please?
Dewalt is discontinuing their 8 volt batteries. Will this tool be close behind? Will we be able to find 8 volt batteries to fit this?
A year later and it's 2x the price now 😢
I feel like wranglestar just only likes the most expensive stuff even if you could get better for less
$3 on clearance at my local Lowe’s
I think the tool rests are cut that way to accommodate wider wheels.
Mine just blinks yellow as soon as I bought it and put it on it
My unit shows the dot in the second position (00.00 amps) and I saw many photos and videos like yours that show the dot in a different position (.000 amps)which means a different resolution, how do I change the resolution of the amps?
Can't find them anywhere now :(
I've had multiple of these. The lighter falls apart on all of them after a few months. Poor quality.
I think that looks amazing!
Thanks!!!!!
i braised aluminum no problem with the blue canister... the yellow bottle gets way too hot for aluminum. It will melt it. I believe the yellow bottle can get up to 3400°F. i't be be safer with the blue bottle. Depends how thick your aluminum is.
