What if success didn’t equal happiness? Many of us pursue other people’s ideas of success, checking off boxes on a list that we’ve been carrying around since before we even remember getting it. And, while it’s bringing us success, it’s not making us happy. Love Laura's message of finding your own path, and not the path others think you should take.

I find Laura's message inspiring. I spent too many years trying to achieve someone else's definition of success. For a while, I was only able to make small changes within my existing job and even these made a huge difference. I hope everone who watches can make at least one small change to make their job better. Marcus Buckimgham's research says you only need 20% of your job to give you joy to have it buffer you from burnout.

Laura is once again inspirational! If only I had read her book and/or been in the audience of this talk long ago (Although I just realized how young she would have been and wondered if I'd have paid as much attention to a 5-year old!). As the MUCH younger brother of two Superstars, I fit her profile of someone who felt failure until I chose my own path - and realized my brothers would honor and celebrate it! Preach, please, Laura!

Laura gave a similar but less-nuanced interview to me & my co-host for USA TODAY about 6 months back. I LOVE this talk for loads of reasons...as an embodiment of what's possible for anyone who's "stuck."

We spend too much time focused on our limitations or our current lot in life. The future is limitless. Thanks for a great talk!

Great message and reminder for everyone that we only have 1 short life on this planet. Do we spend it trying to make everyone else happy and fulfill everyone else's definition of success, or do we carve our own path, find out own success and happiness, which in turn makes us better people to the others in our lives every day.

A really helpful antidote to magical thinking, this is kind of the polar opposite of the Law of Attraction mentality. I especially like Laura's point that following your passion isn't enough, if you don't invest time and work, and build the muscles (literal or metaphorical) that let you resist the voice saying "This is hard. Give up."

Limitations or limitless-ness - we get to choose. An important and empowering message. Speaker is powerful and believable.

We say we don't want to do it, but it's so hard to put in practice. "Limitless" is the best word for this message and the potential we have for our life. Great talk, Laura!

An important message to create your own definition of success and embrace failure. She provides a framework for you to actually do a deep dive to figure out where it is you want to go & how to do it, by using calling, connection, contribution & control. Very much worth the listen & her book, "Limitless," provides even more detail & vignettes from others.

Why do we get stuck? We do we spin in a cycle of self-doubt and crippling inaction? I love the way Laura break it down in this talk .

I feel so sorry for every kid whose parents are on social media it is so toxic for their development and their relationships to be the means to an end of parents who post. This talk illustrates that beautifully.

Average people should give talks on these topics. Not someone who went to law school and dropped out to join a presidential campaign. How many people have that kind of privilege? Very few.

I wish I could control my selective hearing. Cuz it seems like there's too many people spouting bullshit and I feel like telling them but they'd just get stuck in a logic loop and self destruct. Just be a philanthropist if you don't think you can do it on your own lmao
