Honestly, there are only two problems with the game: It can be difficult to figure out where to go next, which seems fine with modern games The place where people bought it most is arguably one of Nintendo's worst consoles. The motion controls of wii just sucks so much, and a switch port could be really good done well. I just hope they don't do a Skyward Sword and keep the game practically the same, meaning all the crappy controls remained awful, but with a more cramped controller
That's because games that try to look realistic will age horribly as graphics improve. It's why OoT and TP don't look that great anymore. Compared to WW which still looks great and how I feel BoTW will look. Always good because they didn't try to be realistic.
KartKing4ever BotW is a nice middle ground in terms of graphics. It's realistic yet cartoonish enough that it won't really age. Skyward Sword still looks good as well.
I just wish there was a way to make the islands farther away just I could feel even more free like looking in any direction and nothing but water ah yes true freedom
The atmosphere of this game makes me all-around feel happy. As if it's saying, "You're on a huge adventure now, you're doing great and you've got a wonderous future ahead of you." The sky, huge ocean, everything. I got this game a few weeks ago and instantly loved it to death. I don't think there's ever been a time when I wasn't up for playing it.
Unlike most others, this wasn't my childhood. I was older when I came across it, yet, no matter how much time passes, this game will be in the top 3 best games I've EVER PLAYED. Forgive this old man's reminiscence.
Griffin Noseworthy That's what I meant actually, Nintendo used to hire temporary composers, now they have their own composers and bands. I'm telling you, Nintendo must sell music through iTunes or something, I think that'd work.
They did a really great job composing this piece, it was heard through about 75% of the game and surprisingly, after hearing it hundreds of times of longer than 5 minutes at a time you don't ever get sick of it, in fact for me it made me enjoy it even more and sometimes in the game I just went out in the ship FOR this.
So glad a new generation of kids are experiencing this amazing game with the Wii U release. No other game gives you such a strong feeling of adventure, especially while listening to this song.
I was one of those kids :'), I bought Mario kart and It had a Code to choose a free game on the e-shop between this, the wii party u and some others. Choosing the wind waker HD was the best decision of my life.
The thing is, a lot of people say WW was short. Yes, the main quest was short in comparison to other Zelda games, but there were so many optional islands and dungeons to explore. Going to a distant island so far from the main ones, going through a small dungeon on it, finding a treasure map, and then setting sail to find the treasure was one of the best experiences I had in any game.
One thing is clear about Zelda overworld songs: they have capturing the spirit of adventure in a song down to a science. The Ocean Theme from Wind Waker is perfect for seafaring adventurers, which is a blessing, given how often you’ll hear it while playing this game.
I've just been overloaded by nostalgia. I'm 17 and I STILL fucking love this game. It is by far my favorite Zelda game. I've beaten the Windwaker countless times and it's still fun every single time. Nothing compares to that first time I started the quest though =/

got this game in 3rd or 4th grade. I remember my bro and I splitting the costs, and I was skeptical at first if it would be a good game. I now love this game and still play it all these years later!
I usually to spend time just sailing around the sea just to listen to this music over and over. Oh, the memories! Loved this Zelda so much and it was my first one I played completely through
It's amazing when you realize that this game is eight years old, and that every time that you play it, it's still as incredible as the first time you played it. All games should be like that.
I loved this game purely because of the freedom and adventure! 😭😭 i miss my childhood! But like they say “Dont be sad because its gone, Be happy cause it happened”

the sailing in Wind Waker is like... what made the game so rememberable for me. I played it when i was young and it's the best part I remember. Feeling that sense of open-ness available to you and the freedom.
I remember when I was 4 waking up on christmas morning at 4:00 am; not to get presents but to watch my older brother and I play Wind Waker. Next; I watched him play on an 8 hour car ride to my new home state; him playing Wand Waker the whole time. I remember being scared of the re-deads. Finally 6 years later I beat the game and we celebrated together. Thank you Wind Waker!
I remember one summer my friend and I played this game together. I would always play Link, and he'd be Tingle. Haters can say anything bad about this game they want, but the two of us had so much fun playing this...and the last day of summer, right before school started, we obliterated Ganondorf. It was such an epic feeling.

The advantage of Cel Shading
They really need to port it to the switch already
Honestly, there are only two problems with the game:

This game, honestly is timeless. The art style really holds compared to even Twilight princess.
As a fan of TP, I have to admit that it looks terrible compared to WW.
That's because games that try to look realistic will age horribly as graphics improve. It's why OoT and TP don't look that great anymore. Compared to WW which still looks great and how I feel BoTW will look. Always good because they didn't try to be realistic.
and with such an amazing soundtrack. the music to dragon roost and forest haven are also great.
KartKing4ever its never about the graphics but the story and character development and adventure which the series truly holds for.
KartKing4ever BotW is a nice middle ground in terms of graphics. It's realistic yet cartoonish enough that it won't really age. Skyward Sword still looks good as well.

The music is a great part of every successful Nintendo game..
absolutely. and what fantastic music they have made =)

Its may 2003 im 10 years old ive bought this along with the ocarina of time bonus disc. Life is good!
it takes pure talent to write a song which is impossible to get tired of listening to...
The greatest "field" theme in Zelda history.
I've gotta say, Koji Kondo really knew what he was doing. He should be a film composer.
