There was now ultimatum to the west, he was speaking to his supporters as part of his neverending election campain. That ultimatum is only in mindes of western propaganda, such as this chanel.

Spain won't vote Kosovo do Catalonia, Greece and Bulgaria will vote no do to being part of or abused by the Ottomans and will vote no for religious reasons. Same would hold true if Kosovo bids to join NATO.
Something I have never understood, is why Kosovo's Serbian majority municipalities that border Serbia are under Kosovan administration. It would be fair to allow them to return to Serbia.
Serbia won't accept that
Because that is not how borders work and said “majority” is like 6% percent of the entire population
Because then Serbia would have to return the territory republika srpska which they carved out of Bosnia via blood and slaughter. 2 million fled their homes.and it looks like an anomaly on the map. Serbs ,biggest Hippocrates in history.

The root cause of conflict in the Balkans is that for centuries it was under Ottoman rule. During that period some groups converted to Islam while others resisted, and suffered accordingly. Consequently they have mistrusted each other ever since.
And greece was a powerhouse for most of the 20th century because of the population exchange. Too bad they lost all their industry by electing socialists.

So there has been a lot of shift in populations in kosovo but you cant deny that albanians have been the majority in kosovo for 95% if not 100% of the history
I really don't understand why anyone would want to force another group of people who clearly do not want to be a part of your state, to stay a part of your state. Why would you want people who hate you and your country to be a part of its population and it's overall voting bloc? It makes no sense whatsoever.
Edit: I'm talking about long lasting independence movements that do not have any outside influence form any countries that would benefit in any way in causing this area to gain independence. So that means no to Donetsk or Luhansk or any of the other Russian breakaway states or any other breakaway states that's influenced by a neighboring state or adversarial state.
I'm talking about states like Kosovo, Catalonia, Nagorno-karabakh, Scotland, Northern Ireland, etc.
the answer is simple: you don't keep the people, you just steal their land and money
Resources, to not create a precedent, many reasons
Serbia wants to reclaim Kosovo for same reasons Bosnia does not wish to lose Srpska, for same reasons Spain is unwilling to let Catalania be free. etc.
Or Nagorno-Karabakh and Transnistria?
When in doubt, it's resources. Kosovo is incredibly rich in minerals. Serbia couldn't care less for Kosovans, they want the land with the minerals.

How did my country get foreign capital to build our industry? We invited foreign capital in, but as a clause. The state would take ownership after 50-70 years of operation.
No investors think in 50-70 years span. So they agree, as they have plenty of time to get money back from their investment.
Now 50-70 years have passed. Now the state owned it all, selling off to the private market and gaining lots of capital. Aswell as making sure ownership stays inhouse.
Now the citizens can benefit from one of the worlds cheapest energy, cause its all paid off and no private people to take profit as its state/city owned.

Moldova just needs to unite with Romania!
All right, it's time for some FUN FACTS:
1. The Ohrid agreement was just a blueprint for the next (did not yet materialize) legally binding agreement. So, just a blueprint.
2. Serbia did agree to the Ohrid agreement but stated that there are points that are unacceptable for Serbia.
3. Per the constitution of the Republic of Serbia, 'Kosovo and Metohija' is a part of Serbia and the territory of Serbia. We just didn't officially declare the occupation (yet).
4. The STANDING UN Security Council resolution 1244 states that for the UN and for the UN SC 'Kosovo and Metohija' is still a part of the Republic of Serbia. This resolution is standing, it is valid, it was voted for by the USA, UK, France, China, and Russia. That is why Kurti at the UN SC meeting had only his name on the sign, while Vucic had Serbia on the sign. FOR THE UN IT IS SERBIA!
5. For the UN and for the UN SC (Security Council, maybe you heard of it) the OWNERSHIP of all natural resources on the territory of 'Kosovo and Metohija' belongs to the Republic of Serbia. Serbia is the owner of the territory and the owner of all natural resources. Always follow the money. Lybia, Iraq, Syria (oil). Kosovo (sh*t load of coal, gold, nickel, zinc...).
6. The formation of the 'Association of Serbian Majority Municipalities' was SIGNED by all actors and the GUARANTOR of the agreement is the EU (European Union). The Serbs, all over the world, are still waiting for that agreement to be realized since it was signed and guaranteed all the way back in 2013.
7. NATO countries, not all, INDIVIDUALLY voted (in their respective parliaments) for the recognition of this territory as an independent Republic. THAT IS NOT HOW YOU CREATE A COUNTRY. Never in history and it will not fly today.
TLDR: NATO was hoping to get a sh*tload of resources for free but is now hesitant because the ownership rights are Serbian and they can be sued for stealing billions of dollars worth of resources. I will just mention the world's fifth largest deposits of lignite - light coal that can produce decades worth of electricity for a good portion of Europe. Read trillions in profit potential. They are, of course, stealing it day and night, three shifts, regular worker's protests, but there is so much of it, they can't get it all out under 30 years of robbery. NATO used a false flag, a CIA-initiated event, to do what Russia is today doing in Ukraine. Bomb a country. A WAR CRIME!
I won't dispute most of your points, as I am not informed on the matter. I am confused by 7., though. How is a country created if not through international recognition of an already de-facto autonomous organization?
The Kosovo war would have never happened if it wasn't for Milosevic's brutal supression of Kosovar Albanians. Ukraine never banned Russian-speaking people from working in local governments or using their language in the education system. Milosevic's government did, and then brutally repressed any dissent that came out of Kosovo. The Uçk was also not directly sponsored by foreign powers until NATO directly entered the conflict after multiple war crimes. Hopefully this conflict can be left in the past like many other conflicts and some sort of deal can be made that will first and foremost benefit the lives of the peoples' of both countries.
Russia tried to bend over backwards to avoid the SMO. Remember the Maidan coup in 2014 brought to you by the CIA? I wonder why Crimea and Donbass people would be upset at this coup - after all state department says it is no big deal, in fact, it is wonderful because now Ukraine could accelerate its path toward freedom and democracy in the EU and NATO. And Elensky says if you like Russia than move to Russia. All right, I will take that advice and I will take my land with me. What's that? You want me to leave my land to Ukraine? Why? Am I your slave? Did I not pay or inherit that land from my ancestors? And also the beautiful part is the Russian naval base in Sevastopol which would find itself in NATO should Ukraine have joined NATO. Talk about the hypocrisy and insanity of the situation. And also don't forget biolabs and CIA bases in Ukraine for years. Yeah, Russia is going to just sit there and watch this shitshow to unfold in its backyard. And yes NATO would have eventually attacked Russia since Russia is just a gas station pretending to be a country and needs some democracy USA style.

@@eyalamit5120 it's not controversial at all but Serbian government uses same tactics as Russia to spread their insanity, for example Serbia with the help of Russia and the Orthodox criminal church has been able to manipulate/lie/brainwash and steal their neighbors land because you know how it is when you have the backing of a much bigger and evil state like Russia that stil tries to live with barbaric ancient evil times rules.
Serbian Orthodox church is nothing but a criminal organization just like it's government, all you need to do is some research.
for example the smartest Serbian and many more Serbs said and say openly that Albanians are the most ancient Indeginos people of Balkan AKA as Illyrians ( even the Russian biggest university says the same ) but the Serbian criminals government and their church to this day tries to brainwash and manipulate their people and their neighbors in every possible way they can. Albanians biggest mistake is because many of if them accepted and adopted Islam because of Ottoman rule but very few practise it, now Serbia has used this against Albanians to steal Ancient Albanians catholic churches and turned them to Orthodox and slavicnized amd converted many Albanians too im which to this day most of them don't even know they are Albanian, and thia is what the Orthodox church is good at because look at the Ancient Albanians of Greece which Greeks call them Arvaniti and even tries to deny that they are not Albanian but Greeks since they changed their religion to Orthodox in which todays so called Greeks is the only identity they have, so as you can see the Orthodox church is the core of evil in Balkan because it works for Russian expansion amd stealing land/rich resources...
There so much more into this but yeah like I said if the smartest Serbian people say what we Albanians say then you see the point quiet clearly and same goes for Greece their national heroes are Albanians but they try to deny it because their defence is that they are not Albanian because they fought for Greece and lived inside todays Greek territory but what they forget is back then 100s years ago there was no borders drawn and we didn't hate each other because the Orthodox church influence wasn't so easy to see and in the open😒

Serbia... a difficult topic. And it wouldn't have to be, only if the so-called international community would be fair to it. The EU should have accepted Serbia into its membership a long time ago. If this had been done after the fall of Slobodan Milošević's regime, things in the Balkans would look very different today. Everything is very different now. I am not in the slightest a supporter of the current government in Serbia, but the EU and USA do not leave Serbia the slightest possibility to accept anything that is being offered to it today. Kosovo met the conditions for admission to the Council of Europe because it registered the property of the monastery that has been there for 800 years? That supposed to be some argument? Come on, let's be serious.
I see your logic. Just like what we did with Germany after ww2 and after denazification of Germany we got them involved in all structures and look at them now!
Having Serbia joining now, it will be super painful for both siders. We already have one flea in the fur Hungary and Slovakia is getting there. With Serbs nationalism it will be super difficult for them to join EU and its values. Unlike some other forrmer Yugoslavia parts Slovenia or Croatia where such sentiment is not so strong.
But on the other hand, I hope I am wrong!
@@72badry Thank you for your answer. There are some similarities with post WWII Europe, but there are some big differences also. The fall of Milošević was the consequence of long and hard struggle of Serbian people. After that, we all had great hope that we will soon be joined in EU. If it had happened in 2000, or if at least an accelerated accession process had been opened, there would not have been a violent stop to the process of building institutions, a fully democratic system and everything else that forms the foundations of the EU. The assassination of our prime minister would not have happened, after which parts of the old forces came to power. The country went backwards, and the province of Kosovo unilaterally declared secession and independence, contrary to all norms of international and domestic law. Today, the situation is as it is, difficult and complicated, because in the past it was neglected to take clear positions in accordance with the practice in international relations. I am aware of the problems that exist in the EU when it comes to Hungary, Slovakia, and to some extent Poland. But, when it comes to Serbia, I have to introduce you to some facts that may surprise you. Nationalism in Serbia is dominant to a much lesser extent than in many, perhaps even all, EU member states. It is most present in the narrative of the ruling party and their partners, who are even personally people from Milosevic's regime, who are in power only thanks to huge manipulations in the media and during elections. Even with those manipulations, they enjoy the support of 25-30% of the population! I don't know if you know, but Serbia is still the most multi-ethnic country in the region. About 25 different national communities live in Serbia, among which Serbs make up 80% and the rest 20% (if we don't count Kosovo). If we include Kosovo, that ratio is 66%:33%. In Slovenia, which you mention, that ratio is 91%:9%, and in Croatia it is even worse: 97% of the majority people against 3% of all minorities! Unfortunately, for reasons unknown to me, Serbia is exposed to great media manipulations and propaganda, so in Europe, and in a large part of the world, there is an unrealistic image of it. And what I can understand even less is why many governments of EU countries and others support the man who usurped the position of the President of the Republic, who is a former minister in Milosevic's government and who governs by violating the laws and the Constitution on a daily basis, in every appearance. I apologize for being so detailed, but this is really a very painful topic for me, and it was important for me to try to give you a better picture of the situation in Serbia. I greet you and wish you all the best.

In a rational world this would be straightforward. Kosovo wants full international recognition, the Serbs (particularly in the north) don't want to be part of Kosovo.
