After 9 years of creating content on the UA-cam platform, Mini Ladd AKA Craig Thompson has seen influence dissolve in his hands over the last year. From the crumbling of the Vanoss gaming crew to the storm of a scenario coming out of twitter over the last few months - Mini Ladd has faced many a challenge in recent times. But it wasn't always like this, Mini Ladd was once in a king in the UA-cam gaming genre, seemingly untouchable by any external force. This video will show that was not truly the case, and that a downfall can happen significantly quicker than a rise. This is the story of Mini Ladd AKA Craig Thompson.

1. It all began when he excluded Terroriser from a dinner event with the crew all because he was too much of a coward to not tell Terroriser to stop making a single joke towards him

Mini was dead to me after the way he treated Brian. Brian had been nothing but nice to him and didn't even want the situation to become what it did and Mini just kept screwing them over. I don't watch much of the Vanoss Crew or Brian anymore but they will always have a place in my heart as some of the first youtubers I watched.

I also think, however, that Mini is quite a trashy guy. He has talked down about his formers friends even though they were the ones who helped him with his career. I doubt he deserved his rise though. It’s true he donated and did some good, but so do other people like jake paul and shane dawson. He didn’t deserved his rise because it wasn’t a rise he made, it’s a rise he and his friends made. He was an obvious social climber for leaving his friends to go solo. One of his excuses for his leave was because they were negative people that talk bad about people and made edgy jokes, but then a few days or weeks later, he’s playing with the misfitz and the shameless the two groups that are not afraid to be overly edgy with jokes.

Even simple possession of cannabis in most of the states that haven't legalised carries harsher sentencing than many first offense sexual predators receive. Craig had every possible chance to fix all the mistakes he made and somehow missed the mark on all of them, a simple apology and taking account for what you did isn't gonna kill you or end the world, that just shows you're a human under there still.
But Craig didn't do any of that and he's nothing but a hollow shell.

I used to really like Craig. Hearing about what he'd done. And how he'd abused his power broke my heart. I feel bad for his mates too, most of the folk he did videos with in Vanoss' circle were decent people and they must have been really saddened to find out what Craig was doing behind closed doors.
Never realized how much he’s changed from how he was when with Vanoss and the crew. He was having such a good time with them and was so bright and cheery, then just almost immediately suffered problems when he broke apart from them and though he tried his best, it wasn’t the same. I miss the fun and laughter he brought to the table when I was younger, and I do not believe he is ALL outright a bad person since he did charity streams and that’s saying something (unless he pocketed some of that money somehow, even if it’s a little that’s a discrepancy still in my books). But what he did at the end of the day is unacceptable, and though it’s sad for me personally to see that this is the end of that one iconic cheerful and enjoyable guy from my past, he brought it upon himself, and by not fully taking responsibility in his apology video and uploading content as if nothing happened right afterward (deleting his tattoo reaction video because of bad comments towards him may I add), he has spoken he as of the moment boasts little concern over the inquiry he was involved in and concealed from his fans for so long. And if anything I guess he play the mental issue card again in the future should he be questioned by it.

Really the lesson is this: As a content creator, EVERYTHING you do will be looked at under a microscope. The separation between your personal drama and your online community is slim to none. You can’t afford mistakes. In most professions you can take off the uniform and go back to doing you after you clock out, as a content creator, YOU are the product.

I’m a sophomore in college too. I’ve watched the whole crew since freaking 7th grade, miniladd included, and I actually enjoyed him. I haven’t watched him for the last two years tho mainly because of what he did to Brian and the rest and now this. He ruined himself

I know him more by the Vanoss' Crew but I feel sad when he say nonsense or bad things on the crew. He grew up on the crew yet talk bad things to the crew. You can see the differences when he left, he just ruined himself and now the downfall is visible. It's... it's just depressing because as a long term fan of the crew I or we can also feel that same thing. There is a point where Brian/The Terroriser is asked about Miniladd, he cried because they are friends but suddenly Miniladd ruined that friendship. But that badmouths resulted in karma that he deserved.

19:00 I see what you're saying, and this is more of a nitpick, but not everybody with mental health has to deal with it with "nobility". I am definitely not defending mini, that guy deserves what he got. But in general, I'd say saying that "you've been dealing with mental stuff" is valid in most cases. You just left for a long time and your viewers want an explanation; sometimes all that was wrong was truly just mental health issues. If you're struggling don't be afraid to admit that, but don't rely on it.

BrandonJustPlays Δ it’s probably a normal reason for why channels die, not changing with the climate, less motivation to pursue UA-cam, growing up and moving one, etc. a good example is venturiantales, I used to watch them years ago and they used to pull million or views, but now 3/4 of the group left, the quality got bad, and the videos are boring and repetitive, but they did nothing wrong

I went through some serious issues with my mom (My dad was never in life) which caused me to go to therapy for years having multiple mental illnesses and ive never went to the lengths Craig did to fuck up so many peoples lives.

I agree 100%. After he stopped playing with the Vanoss Crew, I tried to watch Mini but he wasn't entertaining to me without them. Some videos where alright. Collab videos where the only good ones. He's going to be the first channel that I use to love that I'm going to unsub from. Sad really he went down this wrong path.

@Preston Harvey I'm not sure if everyone would link what Mini did with the Vanoss crew if he stayed with them. Some people might but not everyone. I remember when Jinbop was arrested for awful things and he was friends with people like SkyDoesMinecraft. I don't think people attacked them because they where friends with him at the time. Anyways, I agree. I usually don't say people shouldn't do their own thing but Mini should have stayed with the crew.

Man it's so sad to a creator like this fall. Having spent years uploading videos, finding a way to make it work, making a great living, being able to leverage a platform to not have to go to regular job working for pennies... and then screwing up because you made a couple ridiculous decisions about stuff that's really petty. I have noticed how the crew has been getting more and more provocative with their content, as they'd usually mess with each other more than mess with the game.
