Whoohooo I made B-roll footage! Great summary about the kit - I think Efnote will do well selling these kits. My favorite preset was “Mellow”. Also great to see you again at NAMM Justin!
I can't believe this! Efnote stole my idea! LOL 2 years ago i was bought a Tama club jam flyer and converted it to an electronic drum because i wanted a very small drum kit that still looks like a drum. It's so much fun to play it and a pleasure to look at
What heads, triggers and unit did you use? I’m looking at a used Tama right now.
Though the Efnote is very appealing I would enjoy the challenges
The kick, snare, floor and hi hats are new products that can be added to any efnote kit as well. They’ve nailed it with the is, everything ‘s compatible with everything.
Great vid and great to have you visit at NAMM, Justin! Michael
Efnote makes the electronic drum set for the acoustic drummer.
Great stuff as usual Justin. Thanks for taking the time to chat with me a couple of different times at NAMM. Love your content. Also became a big fan of EF-Note drums. The double bass configuration they had setup was a great great kit. Quickly became a fan of these kits. I'm a Roland V-Drum user now but can see myself getting an EF-Note kit should I ever decide to upgrade.
Hi, Justin! Another great video from you! I think the last time I commented on one of your videos, I was getting ready to buy the Yamaha DTX6-whatever at Sweetwater. Then my physical health began to decline and in December, I fell about six times, two falls were serious enough to land me in the emergency room. I fell last Sunday and am undergoing tests to try to figure out what's wrong with me. It sucks! I wasn't able to buy that e-kit and I'm not even sure I'll be able to play acoustic or electronic drums ever again. A sad and sobering thought.
Anyway, seeing a video from you always cheers me up because you champion the good and great e-kits and tell the truth about the crap e-kits. I might be ableto handle a Roland Handsonic...but I sure hope that an e-kit could still be in my future. Just... not for another year, at least. Happy 2024 and I look foward to more great content from you.
Would love to hear your thoughts on the Millennium MPS-1000
Smart move by Efnote. It’s really all you need for small gigs if you you don’t want to spend a ton of time setting up and tearing down.
I liked this drum set! Very compact and beautiful.
I’ve got the tama club jam flyer
Been waiting for an e drum kit this size definitely gonna get this
Efnote seems like a good choice if I just wanted to buy something that works--if I wasn't the kind of person who likes to tinker and make my own stuff. The drums *look* really nice.
That looks pretty cool actually
Damn, I never saw you this year. I like the module, but the drums are a bit too small. I felt like a giant behind that, I can't imagine you behind it. LOL! I'd go for the 3x. Efnote is a great company with a great product and staff.
Efnote is the truth! Most organic sound I've heard on electronic kits ever.
Love everything about Efnote myself. Much better than Roland TD-17 pads IMHO.
Seems like a solid kit, if ATV had tried something like this a while back they probably would have sold very well.
By the way, is there maybe a review on unlock drums second line of cymbals coming? I think it's called lightning or something.
My current kit is the Tama Club Jam Flyer
Could you make a video about in which country each brand (Roland, Alesis,Yamaha, Efnote etc.) manufactures their drums? It is very hard to find that information and you seem to have good connections..
I think these guys make the best sounding electric kits
I got EFNOTE 3x and the sounds out of the module are really good. It can't compare to something like Ezdrummer though. When you connect your drums via midi to that running on your PC and monitor like that, it really sounds like you sit in front of an actual drum kit.
Since I use Ezdrummer I really don't care too much about the module itself and if I ever upgrade my kit I will try to get one without a module.
I play a sample pad in an acoustic duo. I can see using this in place of that in certain situations, but I'm thinking $1500 tops.
We need a DWe MINI
🔥
Interesting.
I think they need to price this @ 1999 for it to appeal to people.
I'd be interested to see if they do the daak grey version because I'd be interested in buying the kick.
nice
Were you playing Time Consumer by Coheed and Cambria in the beginning?
Honestly efnote looks like it's starting to have a chance against the Roland VAD line. great kit.
Even though I went to acoustic. I'd still have an e-kit as a secondary kit that's quiet so this might be good for something like that.
I played that kit fir Stevie wonder Lola namm
1:39 Hey I see @ZackGrooves jamming!
1:39
Hey that's zackgrooves!
Any word yet on pricing or release date?
It's possible to add a 16 crash? Or also a 10" tom?or both?
If I was going to try anything non Roland efnote would probably be it.
I really like it! If I didn't already have 8 billion drum sets I'd probably get one. haha.
Its so cute. A bit to small for my taste though.
hmmmm probably good if space and ease of use is the priority. most drummers are better off picking the right module and expanding as their needs change and develop over time
The kick, snare, floor and hi hats are new products that can be added to any efnote kit as well. They’ve nailed it with the is, everything ‘s compatible with everything.
7:07 Is this the reason, why your channel is named 65 drums?
Sorry, I forgot to mention. Great review. 🙏
Hi, I am from Italy, I have the chance to buy an Hampback MK-11 for 999 euros...do you have same advice for this set and the brand? I like your channel I think you are really fair in your reviews...regards
I really can't recommend Hampback right now. I've played some of their kits, and they aren't very good
@@65Drums wich one of their kits? what about the last ones? i mean mk-9 or mk-11?
it's so wittttle
Or you could just use a Roland Handsonic and take up even less space, with heaps more sounds. 😉
A whopping 12 kits AND no layering?? Gee, so much to get excited about....... NOT! What the hay were they thinking?
Yeah. I think I'd build an acoustic to electronic drum kit instead.
Wouldn't it be better to have 12 amazing kits than 50+ crappy-sounding drum set sounds? However, the prices on these kits is outrageous, still. 😢😅
I have roland kit with digital hats and snare . I use to have td30kv, I'm thinking of trade my 504 roland for this one. What do you all think? Should I ?
Im used to long term Roland reliability. Nonecof these kits or components have been out long enough to compare. But they do look and sound good.
Will the 14” bass drum hold on using double pedal and playing metal music??
Very well, they hooked up the double pedal on Saturday and it was rock solid
@@listener84 thanks! Greetings from Costa Rica, pura vida!
Cables the end is nigh
I dont know why it’s called the mini. Some people might call this average or quite adequate. A lot of people would be left satisfied with this size.
For me the fact that it only has one option to expand is no ! you can play any kind of mesh head electronic kit at these sizes now and I’m sure you could save a fortune on cost of this probably.
don’t really see the point of this kit really and it not really winning any races in the look’s department! But each to his own I guess 👍
This does not matter in the slightest, but I think it's amusing you said "iPhone or Android phone" but for music it's only "Spotify."
Ef that
65 drums cuz you’re 6’ 5”?
lol no the height is just a coincidence. Back when I started, every drum channel name I came up with already existed somewhere online, which was really annoying. So I got desperate and decided to include a number in the name to make it unique and not get sued. But I wanted to make the number I used meaningful to me in some way. So the "65" is a Bible verse that mentions cymbals (2nd Samuel 6:5)
That’s pretty cool, no such thing as coincidence in my opinion. I like Psalm 150 as well, makes me wonder about the types of instruments and music that was played, plus it mentions the firmament 😉
Overpriced probably
Unless they’re ditching the 3, I’d guess it would have to be way under $2000, I’m gonna guess somewhere around the $1500 - $1750 mark. otherwise the 3 is a better option as a kit.
@@steevidrums It will most likely land around 2K, $200 less that the EFD3.
If its over $1500 its too much
2499€ in Europe so…
@@ironblast5 It will fall around 2K USD, which is a very fair price. playing is believing, as was the case at NAMM. it sold itself. What $1,500 kit are you comparing it to?
