You have a very selective view of history. a poor singer won't have a hit with a decent song you have to earn it. Denny sang the backside of this tune and earned his due. Paul and Linda and Wings graciously backed him up. It was their tour, they were the stars. With Paul McCartney as your producer, and backup, don't you think you would sound good performing your only hit song. He was just some guy in the Moody's who badgered the others into doing an American song he found. After "Go Now" the group were not sorry to have him go. Now! (PS: Most people my age guffawed when The Moody Blues were inducted into the Hall of Fame. They were mediocre at best, their music was trite. Days of Future Past was hardly up to standards set by other artists.)

This is my all time favorite Moody Blues song. I still remember the first time I heard it on the radio back in the sixties, I was infatuated with the piano part, the strong beat and the harmony vocals! A great song through and through. This is a beautiful version that sounds so very much like the original. Thanks Marc, we can never have too much great music!

I was so honored that after Denny had passed, I had done some art with Denny and Annette Zilinskas from the Bangles. Denny did a few shows with them in 2016 and I based it off of that. Denny's wife loved it so much, she posted it on the offiicial social media sites. I got to chat with her and she said it was one of the most beautiful things that anyone had done of him. What an amazing person he was and glad I could help her out a little in her time of need. The world will never forget him and his amazing music and smile!

First saw him about 61 years ago as he headed Denny and the Diplomats with two other future members of the M and B 5 (M+B was a local brewery) this was at my sisters annual fair at her school . The guy was obviously focused and ambitious and remained with the Moodys for just a short time after Go Now. He seemed to vanish until Wings when his ability shone through. Another Birmingham UK legend .

Seen Wings in Chicago when Denny sang Go Now, I was blown away.. had no idea, at the time, he was in Wings, Go Now was always an all time favorite of mine it’s a Moody Blues classic, that show in Chicago was almost like attending a Beatles concert-Yesterday, Lady Madonna, Blackbird, Long & Winding Road and McCartney’s all time classic Maybe I’m Amazed .. what a show, what a memory

Being part of the Birmingham music scene in the 60s we all knew each other and Denny Laine was one of the best singers around. I remember one time when my band was supporting the Moodies and I spotted him in the wings(no pun intended) during our set. When we came off he said 'I had to check you out---it sounded like you had a tuba player.' I was the bass player and had blown my speaker--hence the tuba-like noises! We had a good laugh about it. RIP Denny---you were a good bloke.

Saw this tour in ‘76. Toronto Ontario, Maple Leaf Gardens. Best Wings band with Jimmy and Denny. We couldn’t get enough that night.
I saw this concert in 76 (Colorado). I still think about it to this day. It was one of the best times of my life ❤
I was there also first concert at Mcnichols sports arena 3 hours of fantastic music.

I remember one time when my band was supporting the Moodies and I spotted him in the wings(no pun intended) during our set. When we came off he said 'I had to check you out---it sounded like you had a tuba player.' I was the bass player and had blown my speaker--hence the tuba-like noises! We had a good laugh about it. RIP Denny---you were a good bloke.
I miss Linda. Wings Over America is one of my favorite albums.

Saw him a year or two before he passed away, it was a tribute to the Beatles featuring Todd Rundgren Christopher Cross and Joey Molland of Badfinger and Jason Scheff of Chicago .... Denny handle the vocal chores on Band on the Run and Go now .... Good stuff

RIP Denny- you're now playing with the heavenly chorus. As the commenter below me wrote, I've loved this song since hearing it on the radio way back when. (Why do I feel ancient now? LOL) The writings of his songs surpass many of the songs of today. Thank you for the music, Mr. Laine, & thank you for posting this.
