I love 2:00 when he says "other girls were never quite like this" while looking at Linda. Even though Paul hadn't met her when he wrote this song, he certainly felt this way when he did meet her.

Indeed. I'm sure Linda was aware that this was written about someone else (presumably Jane), and Paul's nod to her is a gracious way of saying "That was then, and this is now."

Sometimes a band mate will slightly change a single part of a single measure from the way you have heard so many times in practice or a gig. The change often is so subtle and quickly completed that the band members are the only people that catch it but...it sounded so good in that moment that you just look at each other with wide eyes and huge grins. Those are the moments that you realize all of the practice hours were worth it. Now it is fun time.

It’s actually nostalgic and cool, to add a few Beatles tunes to the Paul McCartney/Wings song lineup. This particular song and “Yesterday”. With hits like that, it takes me back to when people were over the moon, for those legendary four men of music. I can’t get enough of it. 🎶🎶🎶🎶🎶

Told my husband when we were dating in 1985 that when Paul was on TV I didn't know anyone else was in the room. All of these years later , it's still true. I was 3 when I became a Beatles fan. Did get to see Paul and Linda in concert in 1993 what an AWESOME night !!!!!

    I've just seen a face,
I can't forget the time or place
    Where we just met.
She's just the girl for me
And I want all the world to see
    We've met, mm-mm-mm-m'mm-mm
    Had it been another day
I might have looked the other way
And I'd have never been aware.
But as it is I'll dream of her
    Tonight, di-di-di-di'n'di.
    Falling, yes I am falling,
    And she keeps calling
    Me back again.
    I have never known
The like of this, I've been alone
    And I have missed things
    And kept out of sight
But other girls were never quite
    Like this, di-di-di-di'n'di.
    Falling, yes I am falling,
    And she keeps calling
    Me back again.
    Yeah!
    Bup-a-lup-bup!
    Falling, yes I am falling,
    And she keeps calling
    Me back again.
    I've just seen a face,
I can't forget the time or place
    Where we just met.

    Falling, yes I am falling,
    And she keeps calling
    Me back again.
    Falling, yes I am falling,

    Me back again.

I was 15 when the Wings played this tour up in Tacoma Wa. It was huge! I wanted to go sooo bad! My older sister got to see the Beatles as a little girl in 1965. Things got messed up and no way to get way up there. Soooo a friend and I took my 1st car and yea I was just 15 and we attempted to drive ourselves with just my permit from Portland Or. We were scared and excited at the same time. We got pulled over and the Sheriff asked why we were driving and I was honest. He said I understand why you mustered up the nerve to do this but can tell you aren't ready to make this trip yet and he told us to head back and he was going to put a warning so other police would see us if we still tried. He laughed and said this will make a good story when your older and I would love to see Paul McCartney and Wings and that's why I'm letting you go home. So we did and it was a great experience and story.. Still pissed we missed this! lol Also this song and I'll follow the Sun are two of my favorite songs by Paul not just from the Beatles but of all Music.

The cool thing about the Beatles is the little gems in between the monuments of Rock. On this album there were songs like "Help!", "Ticket to Ride" and "Yesterday" - so a song like "ive just seen a face" simply went under, although today it would have made a veritable top ten hit out of it.

Years back I remember hearing this song for first time in a long time and a day later I went to a bar with my boyfriend to watch him play pool and music was playing, then I remember asking him out of a blue if he remembered the Beetles song I've just seen a face, he said he did but that he hadn't heard it in ages. About 10 minutes later, this song started playing while they were playing pool. This was a great memory for me that I think of everytime I ever happen to hear this song and what's interesting is I can't remember many good memories with that person at all and that was over a period of 2 years. You just never know when you're gonna have moment in life right haha lol😂
