Thanks! But it's not cheating. Just like using 3D software instead of creating it with stop motion isn't cheating. The goal is to give you high quality assets that are useful in speeding up your work and helping you create beautiful renders for your clients. Thanks for being a customer!
Brilliant, very beginner here. What do i do if i drop the done light and the scene just goes all white and no matter the exposure and intensity chamge still white?
What is the difference between adjusting the exposure of a light versus the intensity? I would assume intensity but I've noticed in a few GSG videos that the exposure is the go to for adjusting the brightness of a light.
Is there a way to prevent the gobo from being so distorted/angled? Sunlght streaming through a window doesn't hit then walls like that - especially when all the angles are 90 degrees. I really like the plant and caustic gobos, but the window ones always look off.

How do you set a "dome light" in octane? Is it just to use hdri and set the value to white and then lower the power to fit the scene or? I never used redshift but it seems that you can use multiple HRDIs and in octane you can only use one (As primary and other as visible, but can you stack more primary HDRIs because it seems that you can easily do that in redshift, or am I missing something?). Am I wrong? 🙂

@@Greyscalegorilla Would love to see more Octane videos as well :) Realistic interior design / animations with octane would be nice. Thanks for all the content! :)
Hi, there's so much good stuff in GSG, that it makes it look like cheating !

May the universe in all its infinite expanse forever carry the waves of profound gratitude I am feeling towards this video and your channel today.
🙏 Thank you for watching!
20:35 "Adanmq" is for Adán Martín 😉 He is a spanish guy, very generous like you, who have taught us so much in all these years.

He bro i have rtx 4070ti gpu
when i open Octane/Redshift render in C4d it's showing this error "There is no Cuda Device which is selected"
Nice trick with putting a gobo light into a null, thanks!
You bet! Thanks for watching!
@@Greyscalegorilla I wonder why you didn't use HDRI link for a gobo light?
It totally works. I guess for this one, I knew what Gobo I was going to use. I use HDRI Link if I am demoing a bunch of Gobos.
This nice nick, it will be nice you show us how to light a proper room with windows etc.. using redshift, thank you in advance
Good idea! Thanks for the comment!
Nice tutorial... One question though...
Why does your Modern Industrial 002 HDRI look suspiciously like a hotel room ? =P

Both of them will work. I prefer exposure when working with light.
More lighting videos for Octane + C4D please!
Yes! Look for more Octane videos in the near future.

Good round up and nice demo of GSG assets
Thanks, Matt!
Hello ! Looks awesome . What GPU are you using ? Thanks

Dome light alternative for Octane? How to add fill light (like Dome light) on top of HDRI, like you did in Redshift?
Hello,
Is it possible to assign an octane light pass ID to a light kit softbox?
Thank you, Nick, 😊 Appreciate it a lot 😍
You bet. Thanks for watching!
Nick please teach it in vray too..
Nice work teacher
a great man!

Yes just a HDRI will get you there
Any fix for this? In Octane you can have only one HDRI, so you can't use second one to add fill light
Hi Nick are you using RS more often than octane in your personal works ?
I switch between both. Been learning more about Redshift lately. But I still love using octane and RNDR.
have you guys abandonded octane then ?
those are some big planks on that floor
Good catch! Yeah. I ended up scaling them down a bit for the final render.
More RS !!!
Will do! Stay tuned!
GSG Content : 99 % redshift , 1% octane . why ? :((

@bieberbruder1i disagree. Redshift is more buggy and is soooo slow compared to octane
If only it was possible to do this with corona renderer
Yey! first to comment!!!! what do i win?😂😂😂
You get a Thumbs up, a Heart and a "Nice Work" from me. Buuuut. that's about it. :)
Lets get back to Octane.
