I'm not so sure that we wouldn't be better off with a straight 4x or 6x powered fixed power scope with lightweight red dot on top. No turning an lvpo not flipping a magnifier
I am looking g comparing Vorte. 1-6 others AT3 where are they made ? I can't spend over 300 with mount that's my budget to go o. My Saint that I want to eventually stretch out close to mid distance of say 500 to start .
Personally I hate that reticle on that LPVO. When you're talking LPVO's I can't imagine anyone beating the Vortex options and of course the unconditional warranty they have. I agree, I won't buy an illuminated reticle scope that doesn't have a go to sleep/wake up feature. I also don't like 1/2 moa clicks, I don't know why anyone is still building scopes with 1/2 moa adjustments these days.
I am building an AR-10 I am a great fan of the 65 Grendel, and was wanting to get at 65 creedmoor to match but I'm torn between a 65 Grendel and a 308 any tips or comments?
The .308 and 6.5 Creedmoor are pretty close to each other in most categories. The .308 will have slightly cheaper ammunition. The 6.5 Creedmoor has less recoil. The 6.5 Creedmoor has better long distance ballistics but you won't really see it until you get past 800 yards or so. Personally I'll probably build a 6.5 Creedmoor because we reload and I can share some of the same bullets between my 6.5 Grendel and the Creedmoor. Plus I just like 6.5's.
The best quality entry level LVPO is the Vortex Venom 1-6x LVPO. It costs $250 or less. Lower priced 1-8x LPVO do not perform well at both 1x and 8x. Some say the 8x setting is not usable. Even very expensive 1-10x LPVOs struggle to perform well at both extremes of 1x and 10x. I got the Venom last week from AR15Discounts for $230 shipped with free Vortex mount. For a low cost AR15 I and others often recommend one from Andro Corp for $400 or less. I would recommend it over $400 rifles from Radical, BCA, Anderson and even PSA. See it Sportsman's Outdoor Superstore for $380 with free shipping for Andro Corp Bravo. See Gundeals subreddit for this sale and prior sales for it from others including Primary Arms and MidwayUSA. Reports claim it uses good quality parts such as Ballistic Advantage barrel and AO Precision BCG. It is properly assembled and torqued unlike some other $400 rifles.

If your going with an AR10, go with the 308. If you have an AR15 and want to stick with that, definitely the 6.5 G
@@BeyondSeclusion I have a 6.5 Grendel already so I think I'm just going to do a matching set 308 and 6.5 creedmoor
Too many lines ,,too busy
Nope 👎🏻, not even if it was free.
That freaking reticle is horrible.

I will not purchase Vortex. I sight in folks guns for them and I have had more issues with Vortex than ANY other brand.
