I wish everyone could feel the transcendent experience of writing a story, building a universe from scratch, taking every single experience you've had into account and being alone with your thoughts. There's nothing like it. Nothing more satisfying than being able to read a full fledged novel that came from no one but yourself. Even if you don't think you have it in you, give it a try. Art is beautiful because humanity is Beautiful. Love you all.
I was watching a jk rowling video and thought that must really enrich experience having this day to day unifying world to craft into , riding inspiration wave for extended duration Like the way u put this How did you form an opening for the story? maybe u start with the title to develop ideas from?
@@ayy2193 it really is an incredible way enrich your life, I'm much much happier in general now that i have stories to work on every single day! I'll be honest, the opening scene just came to me as i sat down to write it after watching return of the king. I knew i wanted to write a fantasy, i knew i wanted the main character to be a powerful woman of a long dead race of superhumans of sorts with a touch of insanity, return all i knew. Whatever your opener may be just make sure that it's very engaging for the reader, like throw a little bit of action in the very first scene Or intense dialogue. They say the first couple of lines of your story make or break it so just make sure whatever you write it's engaging. And don't worry so much, it's all a learning process, just sit down and write and the words will come to you!

For example i use the events of the first two mass effects as a narrative guide of sorts, that being a main baddy to hunt down, collecting a team and lots of works building and investigation in between.
This is like the loading screen of life, giving tips to us on how to play, slow meditative video and ambient sounds, the music is also great for a menu screen. It reminds me of the game limbo
if your listening to this while in the rain how do you not ruin your headphones, you must have a hood, and wouldn't that be an example of not being intimate with nature because you have your dog to distract you and you can't hear the wind..?

And just now, a thunderstorm like I have never seen in my entire life came crashing down out of nowhere. So I stood on the balcony, had a cigarette, listened to the rain and thunder and felt truly blessed. Life can be beautiful.

you can buy little things that make rain sounds. It helps me sleep and I'm gonna try listening to it when I write. You can set it to different programs.
My favorite thing about his stories is that he never draws conclusions from them, or else he never shares his conclusions with the listener. Like his films, it's as if he is begging for you to take from these stories what you will. I like to imagine he doesn't draw conclusions because the trains of thought he rides off of these happenings never stop at any station and in fact are independent of any tracks, they just go and go and he rides until he dies.

Every since I saw Eraserhead back in the early 80's I have felt to connected to David Lynch's way of looking at things. It would be a real privilege to be able to sit with this brilliant man an just talk about whatever while the rain is coming down like in this video. I grew up in Philadelphia from where Eraserhead was inspired. I have been an artist and musician most of my life and found that I am unable to relate to most people around me who lead mundane and shallow lives. For them, the entire meaning of life is work and sports and mindless TV. Anything outside of that realm and you're a weirdo like me.
sport is awesome(not the money making bs but just making sport is something beautiful) art is something i feel like most ppl dont even give it a chance because they are put off my the elitist art ppl and that they feel might get ridiculed for liking certain things wich i think has a lot to do with the elitist thinking

I really enjoyed his return to the Twin Peaks Series. It was great to see some closure after 25 years. And to see Kyle Macglaclin return to the main role. What a great Show!
