Hello Dr. Hesch, thank you for these videos. I have had low back pain, searing right buttock pain which radiates to the right groin, for 1 3/4 years. I’m in bed 90% of the time. The pain, plus the pandemic, made the process of seeking help very slow and difficult. Early theory/diagnosis was focused on the lumbar spine, but after many weeks of self guided, at home basic physical therapy, I had an MRI, two sessions of lumbar injections, 20 sessions of acupuncture, 6 weeks of professional physical therapy. In my next to last physical therapy appointment I told the therapist I thought my pain was from the SI joint, based on my own research. He had to look up procedures on UA-cam, one which gave me a few days of relief, but by then I had no more appointments left. I then thought my only option left was SI joint fusion. I had an SI joint injection two weeks ago. After watching your videos I’m hoping to find a physical therapist who specializes in SI joint / pelvic dysfunction. Any suggestions for someone in Massachusetts or New England? Update…just found that there is someone familiar with your method here in Massachusetts. Are there certain problems which can only be treated with SI joint fusion?

Yes some patients do need fusion but that is rare. See charles brown or kevin ward north andover

I would have to perform an examination first before advising you. “Out from sternum” is an interesting descriptor. I hope you will see a medical doctor
