I remember at the age of 10 my family stopped at a local Stewart's store that sold beer, soda, ice cream and candy. When I entered the store the first thing I saw was that newspaper with Elvis's pic on the front. I was a huge Elvis fan even back then and never forgot that image. We both shared the same birthday, January 8th and I always thought that was cool. My next door neighbor at the time was named Glen Moscheo, she was the aunt of Joe Moscheo who sang with Elvis and became very good friends with him. I remember Elvis's family limo at her house in about 1971 and was too shy to go down and ask for an autograph. It's funny because when they recently put that limo up for auction at Mecum's I immediately recognized it because of that unique small back window and tail lights. Just a neat memory I thought I would share with you guys.
I was 12 when he died.... turned 13 September of 1977. I remember before he died my mom had his albums and would listen to all his music playing the albums on the stereo on the weekend when she was off as far back as the early 70s and I remember Suspicious minds playing on the radio when I was about 4 1/2 cause my birthday falls late in the year in September so I was 4 a good portion of 1969. My mom loved his music.
When I was a teenager in the 80s there was a lot of conspiracy theories about this photo. Some people were claiming it wasn’t Elvis but rather a wax body. They even went as far as claiming an AC unit was mounted on the side of the coffin. I always thought this pic looked off for some reason. Thanks for clearing up this mystery, I agree with you.
Think about this. There is absolutely no photographic evidence of Elvis in death. You would think, after all this time, something would have surfaced. Especially from the autopsy room. Autopsy photos of about every iconic figure have surfaced now. Even Presidents! I'm not saying he faked his death, but I find it odd there are no authenticated death photos of him in 2024.
Wow. I always knew that picture was way too young of him. I saw him in concert in Odessa, Tx I think in 1975 or 76. He definitely looked older at that concert than the pic in the coffin. I actually was up against the stage. He threw down a scarf. I caught it then a girl much taller than me ripped it out of my hands. My stepdad paid 2 of his employees to stay in line for 2 days before the tickets went on sale & we were on row 5. I have been to plenty of concerts but have never, ever felt the aura, the emotions, the energy that was there in the entire building. It was phenomenal. I'm sure I still have the tickets somewhere.

I think its Elvis, obviously his face has lost all the excess water Elvis was carrying, He went back to how he was, handsome, Beautiful Elvis. Looks like a Angel asleep. Bless him all his suffering over Love you Elvis..❤❤❤
I agree. I never bought that as being a real picture from Elvis's viewing. The sharpness in detail of his face and hair stand in contrast to the rest of photo. Another great video!
For what its worth Billy , my dad was bloated and swelled when he died and when we laid him to rest he was not at all bloated and he looked as he did 20 years prior to his death ! I couldnt beleive how much of a difference he looked after the sickness was no longer living in him . god bless and thanks for your videos billy .
Yeah it seems like that weight goes down after death, maybe the draining don’t know. They do a good job making person look their best. And they really do look at peace . All that stress gone. Enquirer got that pic taken, paid someone close.
@@clairebunt5887 Maybe they did not was people to see him. They may have already berried him somewhere else.Because people were so emotional. I will Love Elvis The Man and the Entertainer until the day i die.
@Kelly Norman Calling someone retarded is so disrespectful. its a fake pic of Elvis everyone that isn't blind can see that . John wasn't saying its not Elvis its the photo that is fake !
@Kelly Norman I believe that is Elvis in the picture, but not the real Elvis in the casket. I believe the picture of Elvis in the casket is made up to make Elvis appear to be the Elvis Aron Presley in the casket The body in the casket, ....I believe ....is a Elvis look-a-like. The photo is of Elvis Aron Presley (or that too could be a photo of an Elvis Aron Presley look-a-like) arranged to have the real Elvis Aron Presley appear to be dead in a casket (I really didn't enjoy arranging words, "dead in a casket" intent that is our beloved, and our King Of Rock N Roll), but there it is my opinion of, what I believe. (....frm the media. I have never met or seen this human "Elvis Aron Presley" in person. ...only on Television, film, etc., But I dig the king of rock N roll character etc
I totally agree with your supposition regarding the 'fake photo of Elvis. Disgraceful what people will do for money!! You are doing a great job 👏 thank you
I believe the photo is real. To everyone saying that Elvis looked "too young" 1) Elvis died at only 42. The pictures before his death were of him swollen from drug abuse and medical conditions, but he did not look like an old man. 2) If you've been to an open-casket funeral, you know that the body is embalmed and elaborately prepared with makeup, wax, etc. The person's face is manipulated to look like they did in their younger years, at their best. His hairdresser Larry Geller also spoke about preparing and dying his hair one last time before he was laid in the casket. This is Elvis Presley we're talking about and you better believe that he received some of the best treatment during this process.
The hair guy did not dye his hair like normal because he didn’t have what was needed, so he improvised. This was explained by the personal hair dresser of a Elvis out of his own mouth.
@@elizabritton4039 Correct-not the normal dyeing process, as that wasn’t possible. He said he asked a lady that was there if she had any mascara with her, and she did…it was thankfully black, and Larry said he took, and used it to color and then blend in and conceal the line of white hair that had begun to grow back in along Elvis’ hairline during the tour hiatus.
The actual photo doesn't look like this. I've seen it. The National Enquirer owns it. It was Color but the Enquirer only printed black and white photos back then. It's Elvis for sure. No doubt about it.
Back in the day “photoshopping” included air brushing which is what I believe happened here, that’s the drawing you referenced. I’ve always thought that picture was “faked”, Elvis looked way too young in the “coffin” picture. Thanks pal, I’m glad I’m not the only one that has these thoughts🍻
Mr. Cline you're absolutely right sir! I've always said, that coffin pic looks like Elvis did back in the 50's! That doesn't mean I believe Elvis didn't die, and that he faked his death, I'm just sayin it doesn't look like Elvis did in 1977! I've never bought into the whole "Elvis faked his death" thing! God knows I wish that were true, and that Elvis was still here, and living a happy and healthy life! Unfortunately, I don't believe that to be the case, I believe he died on that sad day in August of 1977, and went on to be with the Lord in Heaven!! I'm not the type of guy that is gonna look down on those that do think that way, everyone has an opinion, and their entitled to their opinion just like me and you, who am I to say that they're crazy and wrong, because it ain't for me to say! I'm just saying in my opinion, and going by some of the things I've researched, Elvis left us and moved on to the next life on that sad day in August!! Like you said, and I agree 100%, It doesn't look like Elvis did in 1977!! I've been to the funerals of a couple Family members that I thought looked a lot different than what they did in life, so I'm sure that's a big part of it!! God Bless you sir!👍👊 ⚡TCB⚡ THE KING!👑 EP4LIFE! 👊
I lived in Memphis in the the late seventies, Me and my sister stood in line for hours to get a five second glimpse of Elvis from about 10 feet away...and I can promise you that is not a picture of Elvis's that saw that day...he was much heavier and his face was much more bloated...
The photo is real. Joe Esposito was at the funeral and he said it's real. I met him many years ago and he told me about it. This was during the time that someone was selling a book about Elvis still being alive. When they prepare you for burial they do remarkable work to make you look good. But most of the time you don't look like you did when you passed away. Elvis had some damage to his nose when he fell and died according to Joe Esposito. This photo shown here is a scan from a newspaper photo so you shouldn't expect it to be high quality. I have the original issue and The Enquirer would only pay for a real photo. It ended up being one of the biggest sellers ever for the magazine.
Look at. Elvis's lips. They are. Not like someone that has passed away. They seal your mouth shut or whatever they do. Looks like a. Picture that was taken when he was still living. It's like they were trying to hide something. Maybe. Elvis didn't die.
Billy your talking a lot of sense here, I’ve always thought that picture looked like a pencil drawing, and agree Elvis looks too young. But how sad does this whole story make you feel? I was only 11 yrs old when he passed away, but the memories of the time are so vivid, and still remember it like it was yesterday. Sending best wishes to you, and keep up the fantastic work. 😎
I was 17 when Elvis died and that picture looks like a younger version of him, not what he looked like when he died. He was overweight and didn't take good care of himself the way he should have. Elvis said he was not going to outlive his mother and he didn't. My brother was a big Elvis fan and he still is.
I'll always love you Elvis 💗 You made such an impact on my life as a young girl from a small town in Texas 💕 I get goosebumps when I listen to you sing. You will live on forever in my heart ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Thanks Billy for the time and effort in putting this together. So many stories out now nobody knows what to believe. Only I can say . I wasn`t there. I don`t want to speculate in whether photo is a fake or not.Just remember Elvis as a great singer and artist and thank him for his humanity when he was alive. Thank you Wayne Mann and Janet Smith for the interview with the Spa Guy , and for your stories !
Hey Spa Guy I was 13 when Elvis died and when I saw this picture I said it's not Elvis. I used to draw Elvis when I was younger and I knew it was Photoshopped. His nose wasn't straight and he looked too young. Elvis to me is the greatest singer ever!! And it's a shame that who ever took that picture and made money on it was not a close family member. Keep up the work SG. I have saved all your videos. Keep them coming and GOD bless you.
@@NilmaBostonRio1 He fell onto his face and most probably, spent hours lying on it and damaged it as a result. The drawing they did for the Enquirer probably showed his nose being puggy so they drew in that feature as it was.
So, Elvis died in 1977 & photoshop was created in 1990, yet in '77 you knew it was a computer program created 13 yers in the future? Can you give me next weeks winning lotto numbers? Bwaaahahahahaha!!!
SpaGuy......you are exactly right......I have this newspaper with the photo on the front page...and we all said....Elvis is too young....we didn't believe it and really sad that we had to see Elvis this way........God Bless
Interesting video, Spa Guy! I have always thought that it wasn't a real photo as his face looked too young. I also think this may have contributed to many believing Elvis was still alive. Thank you for putting all the pieces together for us!
This photo of Elvis shown in a casket is definitely photo shopped. His face was thin and looking much younger in this photo then what he appeared to be at 42 prior to his death. Even his hair was shorter then as it was at 42.
@@edhayden5123 There wasn't Photoshop in 1977. And it wasn't edited in recent years, as I have a copy of the original National Enquirer and the photo is unchanged.
Ive been researching this for 30 years ,and that wasnt Elvis in the casket ,it was a wax figure , the casket weighed 900 pounds ,because it had a cooling system built into the bottom of it to keep the wax form melting , many seen sweat on his forehead , dead bodies dont sweat , one of his sideburns had to be glued back on an hour before the viewing ,his nose is all wrong ,not Elvis nose , and his hands were as smooth as a baby s hands ,Elvis had rough looking hand s and knuckles , and why have a 900 pound casket that took extra men to carry ( for a body that weighed 225/250 pounds ) and many said the air was cool around the casket , it wasnt Elvis ,and he is still alive today he faked his death
I was 13 when Enquirer published this photo and my first impression when I saw it in the grocery checkout was that is not a real photo and it does not look like Elvis should look. Even a kid knew this photo was fake. Good work Billy, I think you are totally right on this one.
Gracias por compartir ❤ELVIS PRESLEY FOREVER siempre lo recordaremos con amor❤❤BENDICIONES GRACIAS POR COMPARTIR CANCIONES VÍDEOS FOTOS de ELVIS 2023 30 11 ❤❤❤❤
When I look at this picture in the casket, and no one thinks that looks like Elvis, so I'm not the only one. The word LIVES came into my mind and I never realized before that the Letters in ELVIS name IS LIVES. He lives. He lives on whether he died or not, even if he has 2 Lives like some think he still Lives." Long LIVES THE KING🎸🎹🎶"
Sheila Brewster The letters in his name also spell out “Levi’s “ 👖😉. It’s also a well known fact that Elvis despised wearing jeans of any kind as he always associated wearing denim with being “poor”. A coincidence? Hmmm🤔
Another great story, Billy! I saw Elvis in concert 9 weeks before he died and he did not look like the picture of him in the casket. His face was heavier and his hair was different. I think the picture you found looks like a perfect match. Nice to see some of Elvis' family. Your research is always exceptional!
You do realize he was bloated with fluid and feces correct? When embalmed they remove all of that. The man was so puffy he could not open his eyes. That was fluid. This pic is how Elvis would have we looked minus the fluid. He was only 42 people
@Dolly Girl Twins I agree with you. This was 1977 and I would think they could not prepare a body as well as they do today. I have seen many bodies in very recent years and NONE of them look like they are just sleeping. Their lips always look distorted too. I have seen overweight people and they STILL look overweight.
I think the pic is hard to tell, u can see a little of his chin. It’s sad that someone sold that pic tho. Even at his death they made money off him. It’s one thing to keep for urself but not to sell. Smh.
2 things I wanna touch on , the first is its pretty sad Billy Mann would take a photo of a family member such as Elvis Presley for the almighty dollar sad indeed, the 2nd opinion I always had was this photo of Elvis Presley looks much younger as you mentioned in you're video. Anyway I look forward to seeing you're next video. I also plan on visiting Graceland, I have a friend who lives but 15 mins away from Elvis home. Thanks again brother❤
People were asked not to take any picture's of Elvis in his coffin. It's really sad someone would do something like this just for $, Elvis wouldn't want to be remembered like this and I'm sure his family wasn't happy about it. Elvis was good to these people in his lifetime, they should've shown more respect. Memorie's are for remembering the good time's and your love for each other. I hope the $ was worth it, hurting Vernon and other family member's. I will alway's remember Elvis for the good thing's and the good time's in his life. RIP ELVIS WE STILL LOVE YOU!!!!!!!
I saw Elvis in May of 1974 when I was 10 years old at the Los Angeles Forum and when I saw that picture in 1977 my mother and I both thought, it's a likeness but that's not the man we saw on stage. Here we are now in 2019 and I'm sticking to my guns! Hail To The King!
@@katgirlblue - Exactly... And I've also asked her to explain why, of all the options he could have chosen, that Elvis would be perfectly fine with the world knowing that he collapsed in his bathroom from the toilet, with copious amounts of opiates in him. Not from a heart attack or stroke while playing racquetball, not dying in a fiery crash of one of his cars, not just passing away quietly in his sleep ?? The man definitely had enough pride not to go with the version that really happened, I think that's safe to say. Evangeline apparently lives in a universe where someone with Elvis' physical issues at 40 just magically shakes them all off (not to mention his own family genetics) and live to an extreme old age, while everyone that surrounded him just keep passing year after year. So he's not just Elvis, he's also superhuman, too?
In my mind Elvis Aron Presley will never die. To me he show us all what opportunities can do for oneself and others. Man, Elvis Aron Presley was/is a mortal God! A superhero, etc.
That's great analysis Billy, I've never looked at the coffin and thought about it being a drawing but it really does, and the photo you used as an example of what they could have is near enough 100% to what we see in the coffin. At the end of the day it's all about profit, and to use an old photo, do a bit of work on it would have been easy for them, but we all know what bad shape Elvis was in 6 weeks prior and this photo does not look like Elvis overweight, yes the face changes after death and makeup and do amazing things but it can't make you lose weight, another great video Billy.
Elvis Is dead and should be respected as that. Many people do not want it to be true and it's a shame. The same was said about many celebrities. The problem with saying this about Elvis is how affected Lisa Marie in the early years after his death.
It seems to me with the thousands of people who viewed him, if he didn't look like this there would be plenty of people speaking up. Also, as for any appearance irregularities, some embalmers can do some pretty amazing things.
WOW!!!! Great work as always!!! I've heard from interviews with GK and others that it is actually what he looked like. Being that when he died he was face down on the floor for quite sometime and that's why his nose didn't look normal. I've also heard an interview by Larry Geller who stated that he was the last to touch him as they closed the coffin. Maybe through some of your magic you can confirm this story of the picture through him? As always Bill, thank you so much for taking the time to interview these folks, driving to all these places, and countless time you take to edit/upload all these video. Us Elvis fans are truly grateful for all your work!!!! I know I am !!!!!!!!! Please keep it the GREAT work!!!! Much love brother!!!! and maybe I'll meet you someday when I'm down there!!!
"The spa guy", you are a great Elvis Presley investigator. You are definitely good at what you do. Especially with dignity. This casket story it's extremely interesting but I think you are far from finishing it. I would go further into it speaking with family members such as the Smith family. Ask them, is this Elvis in the casket the day you were there? There are still family members alive who can go on video and confirm this. Also maybe you can go to "The memphis funeral home" where Elvis Presley's body was embalmed. Maybe someone there can confirm that famous photo whether it's real or not. Us true Elvis fans need these answers. Great job Spa guy, thank God we have. you.
I’ve always been suspicious of this photo, especially because the Enquirer put it out. The guy to ask would probably be Larry Geller who stated in a short documentary of Elvis’ last 24 hours that he went to the funeral home (at the request of Vernon Presley) to fix Elvis’ hair. He would be able to say exactly how he fixed/styled Elvis’ hair. Larry Geller seems to be open to interviews and he seems like a detail guy because also stated in that same interview that Elvis’ grey roots were showing and he borrowed some black mascara to cover them up since he had no other way to do so. Maybe Larry would interview with you. He might even be willing to give you his thoughts on this picture. By the way, I love your UA-cam channel.
The Enquirer wouldn't put a fake photo in the Magazine. They paid big money for it and it's real. I've seen the real photo and it looks much clearer than this one does
That is BS.. This is the picture from the Enquirer.. They are a Trash paper you think they are above using fake pics.. they paid 18,000.00 Thats not big money.. You clearly don't anything about anything!!
Never saw these people interviewed. Thank you for sharing with us. Stories of Elvis growing up and getting famous. Everyone says that Elvis was always a lot of fun. His laugh had been contagious. Living in Elvis world must of been funny at times.
Hi Billy, We’re over from England and we’re in Memphis. Thanks so much for your vids , they helped so much with our couple of days. Went to the railway track where Elvis got off at Poplar and S Mendenhall. That blew me away, I’ve always loved those photos and never thought I’d be there one day. Off to Nashville today so Studio B here I come. Little details, I’ve got to cross the road to the building with the white brickwork that’s behind Elvis in the pic. I absolutely love this stuff !! Thanks again. Rob 👍
I am not sure about the Elvis pic in coffin I know that J d Sumner was in charge of the arrangement s Elvis would not have been bloated because they drain the fluids from the body maybe Vernon requested the hair cut the thing that looks odd to me is I would have expected the linking in the casket to be more elaborate I mean linking more frilly after all the casket itself was solid copper the picture can be fake but Elvis died August 16th 1977 I am still trying to say the linking of casket to plain
That was was the wax head that Vernon had on his desk for along time. That was a fake funeral. Some else was put in the casket before he was put i the moselum.
@@rossi7394 Col Parker was out for money from day 1, he cared more about milking money from everything than he cared for Elvis the man. If only Elvis could have seen Parker for what he was, he may have lived longer. just my opion....

Great video Billy, I agree with you, the photo looks nothing like Elvis in 1977...I've read quotes from people who went and viewed the body, that the body did not look like Elvis, of course, that's a different story and video.
Hi Billy, it was so nice to meet you in August at Marlow's. As i said I recognized you by your voice before I saw you. You were as nice as I thought you would be. After driving 29 hours from Canada for my dream of going to Graceland , I was in a daze of tiredness and happiness. I met Billy Smith and his wife Jo as well as Danny and Joey too and we talked a long time. It was wonderful !! I met Wayne and Janet too and have pics with them and they are nice people as well. Elvis people....family, friends, AND Fans are a special kind of people and Elvis would be proud.
I'm sooo glad you did a video on this picture! I'm with you... it's always looked fake to me. Something isn't right with it. Not to mention, this looks like a younger Elvis, not the 42 year old EP. Great job!
YOOoooooo Billy! :) I had always thought to myself that the body in that coffin looks way to much of a healthy appearance (for a dead person) and definitely TOO young ... I loved Elvis like he was my brother but the man was over weight and like you said bloated, he did NOT look good at all.. ....He just looked worn OUT! I have told you before that "I" have issues with people that still make MONEY off of Elvis' name and they do even MORE today. They milked that poor man till he didnt have anything left to give and yet even to his grave for money and then they STILL find ways to have financial gain off of him. I cant watch it it REALLY bothers me. OUTstanding on your part for bringing up the 1977 "Cut & Paste" they did. I never did put those two together until THIS video. Amazing!!! Tighten UP brother! :)
I was 7 when Elvis died. I will never forget my mothers girlfriend calling and telling my mother that Elvis had died. My mother cried and cried. It was an awful day, and again, I was only Seven but remember this day so clearly. I love Elvis!!
Many people who attended the funeral said that it did not look like "Elvis" in the casket. Since he did fall on his face, I could see how his nose would not look like his other pictures. So I would say it was definitely touched up A LOT because he looks young there. Notice on the right hand side: It looks like someones hand is on the casket. While Elvis' death had always made me sad, I remember Elvis' steadfast faith. "Absent from the body, present with the Lord".

I honestly think the sideburns are there. It’s just the angle of the photo. The sideburns are underneath the edge of the casket edge. I think when the person took the photo they kept the camera low, near their pocket and then took multiple shots. I truly believe if the photo had been taken directly above the casket we would all be looking at a much different photo.

Joe Esposito said it was the real pic from that day . He said Elvis lost about 30 pounds of fluid during the embalming process. He also Elvis was laying face down on the floor for hours in his bathroom and he noticed Elvis nose was distorted. He confirmed this to be a real photo of that day
The same Joe Esposito that was in back of the Graceland office, burning the Last Will and Testament of Elvis, right after he died? Yea, he's one to be trusted.
I believe it was an altered photo, I stand by what spa guy said in video about the camera and he thought the original photos didn't come out good. I have always heard people say that was there that it didn't look like him. That can be a normal reaction because how often do you see a man laying perfectly still with cosmetics on plus add that he had an autopsy performed.
You know I agree with you Spa Guy this picture must not be the real deal. Regardless if it is or not Elvis never had a private moment even in his passing. Keep um coming y'all on this journey. Gold 🌟
I saw an interview with someone who worked at the National Enquirer at the time the photograph was taken and he said that the person (he didn't mention any names) took about 5 photos and they all turned out terrible except the one that we all know about. But he also said that the photo editing guy for the Enquirer retouched the heck out of the photo to make it usable and he was the one responsible for giving Elvis the pug nosed look.
Don't really know but i know when you die a person always looks younger as all the pain has gone from them .anyway so sad for Elvis and love him forever. The one and only our beautiful Elvis.
Thank You, thank you, thank you Spa Guy! You have brought my life so much happiness! I wish I could work with you on finding more Elvis facts! I grew up in Jackson,MS. But, my uncle, aunt, and cousins lived in Southaven. Every summer we would go there. They lived just a few miles from Graceland. We always would go there, morning, noon, and night, just wanting a glimpse of Elvis! We got lucky a time, or two! Thanks again! Look me up! Curtis C. Clark Jr. I live in Pearl, MS now.
The story from a journalist who worked for the enquirer and had flown to Memphis for the funeral, later said that several photos were taken but only one came out and that was very dark, and so a staff member "got creative" to produce the photo for the cover. Remember, the ambulance men who first attended Elvis when he died and took him to the hospital, said they did not recognize him at all. That he was blue from the chest up and weighed about 220 lbs. A lot of people who saw Elvis in his coffin spoke of how shocked they were at how he looked, with many saying it didn't even look like him. They related how Elvis' face was swollen, his color was blueish and his skin was waxy looking. His nose was also puggy as a result of him having fallen on his face and lying that way for several hours before being found by Ginger. Also that his hair was a "mess". (Probably because Charlie Hodge had cut chunks off.) Given the dark and probably distorted and difficult to recognize image of Elvis in the Mann photo the Enquirer graphic artist reconstructed the much more flattering picture of him in a similar manner as Billy Spa Guy has described. This could even be the reason why those that saw the original photo/s, if in fact they had been successful, were NOT published. That the Editor realized they were unflattering to Elvis and he should be best remembered as the handsome man he was. An interesting question someone could ask Wayne, or for that matter anyone who actually viewed Elvis in his coffin, is, did the Enquirer photo match what they saw? Given how so many who did view Elvis, described him as written above, I'd say the answer is no. Thanks for all the effort you go to Billy. It's much appreciated.
@@smartlylever9908 Here is the story. The Enquirer paid big money for it and wouldn't have paid if it wasn't real. The original photo is color. I've seen it
Elvis Aunt said that was not Elvis in the coffin. I believe her. Not to mention how Joe Esposito said he was in master bedroom, Ginger said bathroom. All interviewed right after his death. He could not be in two different places. Also Elvis signed his own death certificate and handwriting analysis said so. Not to mention the times Priscilla said something to the effect, as if Elvis and she had talked recently.
I agree with Tricia all true wha she is saying. What about the flag. And why didn't the family sue the Enquirer. Also elvis liked to visit funeral homes. Also was a wax figure of elvis made. He wanted out if his contract. Probably had this all planned. He was a genius. So he could have had this all put into motion. Money talks. plus Read CAPTAIN MARVEL comic books. Took all his heroic. Always thought it looked more like a sketch than a photo has it wasn't a sharp picture, I think that you are right spa guy about it. Still think that's its a shame that someone who was part of Elvis family would still try and take a photo on that sad day for money.

@@vickiatkins9061 The American flag missing is a good point. I have always thought the same thing that The Spa Guy said, that the picture looks half drawn by using pencil lead. I have not been following all of this for that long, so I am curious as to what are the other unanswered questions?

Wow … I’ve just re watched this video . I have never looked so closely at the Elvis in the casket photo as I am looking right now. And WOW Spa Guy !! I think you’re 100 % right, it looks exactly like a drawing . And the example you gave of the photograph of him with Priscilla and baby Lisa Marie is the exact image of Elvis that was constructed. Definitely not Elvis 1977 in that casket , what an illusion 😮 love Elvis always and forever 💙🥰
I've just re-watched this video as I have recently been having a discussion about it. One other thing I noticed that I didn't notice before, look at the background. The 'wall' behind doesn't look like anything you will see from where the coffin was situated in Graceland. Just something else to add to the excellent theory that the photo was at least touched up if not entirely faked.
I've been reading (UA-cam) and whating interviews about Elvis. I have learned what an amazing generous man and warm human being he was. He was involved in many charities. The things I've learned about has had me awe stuck. Bev
I as well have been reading/ watching because I want to take my BFF who is a big Elvis fan to Graceland for a surprise birthday gift 🥳and from what I've observed learned so far this, man seemed way to humble , genuine and kind for the greedy disloyal mooches that claimed to be his devout friends and loving family .Sad story actually, but iam glad to have learned some history before sharing this memorable trip .
This has always intrigued me because I remember the papers ( I'm from England) when he died and I was only around 8 or 9 but an Elvis fan already....and I remember seeing specifically the picture of him in the coffin .( I was so young I can't remember which paper, there were so many and all of them covered in Elvis photos). It sticks out in my mind so vividly that I remember thinking how young he looked and that this was not as he looked at the time of his death. I remember being so puzzled - so I waited all these years to see your story on this which now makes sense. Thank you for bringing this to us all. Finally 👏🇬🇧👍keep up the good work love your vid's. One day I hope to travel to Graceland. It's a big dream of mine 🌹
I saw Elvis in 5/77. He was heavy and bloated in the face. He gave us a great concert. The Zippin Pippin roller coaster that Elvis loved was brought here to Green Bay, Wisconsin ten years ago. We have an amusement park here that’s been around 100 years. They put a new track on it as the old one was bad. Every year on Elvis’s birthday they have special events for the Zippin Pippin. The first year we had it, it was Elvis’s birthday. The roller coaster was going up an incline and just stopped. They had the maintenance people looking over and under. Couldn’t find anything wrong. Started it back up and it hasn’t done that since. We think Elvis was having fun with his favorite ride on his birthday. Maybe, he takes a ride here and there. He’s always welcome!
Nice memory. ♥️🕊

You're💯% correct!!
@@billb89 I know for a fact Elvis is dead but one day we can see him in heaven!

Fake completely..
I believe the picture of Elvis in the casket is made up to make Elvis appear to be the Elvis Aron Presley in the casket
The body in the casket, ....I believe ....is a Elvis look-a-like.
Kelly Norman no need to be so rude!!
Agree, it's either a much younger Elvis from the 60's, or the funeral staff did an extremely excellent job!
I was gonna say the same thing.
Let’s let him RIP

Yes, and at age 42, he looked like a bloated old man. He looked like that before he died. Stop making excuses. That picture looks photo shopped.

I've heard the body was wax
He was more obese than photo
Look at. Elvis's lips. They are. Not like someone that has passed away. They seal your mouth shut or whatever they do. Looks like a. Picture that was taken when he was still living. It's like they were trying to hide something. Maybe. Elvis didn't die.

That's great analysis Billy, I've never looked at the coffin and thought about it being a drawing but it really does, and the photo you used as an example of what they could have is near enough 100% to what we see in the coffin. At the end of the day it's all about profit, and to use an old photo, do a bit of work on it would have been easy for them, but we all know what bad shape Elvis was in 6 weeks prior and this photo does not look like Elvis overweight, yes the face changes after death and makeup and do amazing things but it can't make you lose weight, another great video Billy.

Elvis Presley, dead or alive, is the most influential singer in the history of recorded music and nothing else will change this fact.
@ Nothing. It is simply the truth.
Elvis Is dead and should be respected as that. Many people do not want it to be true and it's a shame. The same was said about many celebrities. The problem with saying this about Elvis is how affected Lisa Marie in the early years after his death.
No argument.
It seems to me with the thousands of people who viewed him, if he didn't look like this there would be plenty of people speaking up. Also, as for any appearance irregularities, some embalmers can do some pretty amazing things.
I always wondered if Vernon had any pictures taken of Elvis in his casket.

I was thinking that this doesnt even look like a 1977 Elvis. Your reasoning I think is correct.
I remember this photo after his funeral, it looks like something out of a "ghoulish" movie, but even back then "vultures" were out for money.....
Totally agree with you. And they still are!!!!
A sad fact of life.
I agree it does look Ghoulish.
@spa guy awesome upload my friend I'm really enjoying traveling back and forth through your incredible stories and photographs. 🎸T⚡C🎸B⚡🎸
I agree with you spa guy. I always thought when I got older that the picture just didn’t add up to what he should’ve looked like.Glad I came across your videos
Great job!
Looks just like Elvis. Elvis died in 1977. They had his funeral on TV.
I have always thought this was a fake photo as it certainly didn't look like Elvis in 1977. Thank you Billy for solving this mystery! 🙏
Not fake. It's real. He hurt his nose and damaged it when it fell. I've seen the actual photo in the offices of the National Enquirer years ago
I think it is Elvis. Have you ever been to a viewing? Do you know what they do to bodies when embalmed? This is definitely Elvis
@@melissastruxness512 It's Elvis. The original photo is much clearer. The Enquirer wouldn't have paid for a fake photo.
YOOoooooo Billy! :)
I had always thought to myself that the body in that coffin looks way to much of a healthy appearance (for a dead person) and definitely TOO young ...
Eu creio que Elvis está entre nós.
So you're telling me the news is fake lol 😭 🤣🤣
I agree with you a 100%! I never believed it was real either not with the way Elvis looked back in that time era! Great investagative work Billy!!!
I was 7 when Elvis died. I will never forget my mothers girlfriend calling and telling my mother that Elvis had died. My mother cried and cried. It was an awful day, and again, I was only Seven but remember this day so clearly. I love Elvis!!
First thing that popped in my mind that it looked like a drawing!
Indeed, I think this is Elvis in the late 60's... you are right , the King was thicker in aug. '77 than in this picture!
Very interesting 🤔 How he didn’t ask “ What Picture “. So true !!!
"Absent from the body, present with the Lord".
jojo2471 on the right which you say looks like someone’s hand is a tiny fragment of the flowers that were there! If you look at the full picture that the National Enquirer actually published you’ll see the flowers there T.C.B⚡️

Wow, great analysis. I concur with your conclusion 100%. It almost seems like the head is coming out of the coffin.
Spa u are BRILLIANT THER SHOULD BE A LOT MORE PEOPLE LIKE YOU WHO IS NOT AFRAID TO TELL THE TRUTH
Billy, I was there at Graceland and viewed Elvis’ body inside the front door. First few hundred allowed in. The picture is real - I believe. I saw Elvis and he did look at EXTREME PEACE, little bloated but at peace. A whole other story of how my friend and I got in the gates early. Another time!
I was there too. Very sad day walking through the door of Graceland and viewing his body. I agree, he looked like himself.
Great to hear from you Linda!
You may have gone to see Elvis and that picture can still be a fake.
You don't hold back a story to Elvis fans, are you kidding!!
It is easy to find someone who can tell if Elvis was coiffed the same way it's clear that the huge sideburns are missing. Thank you Spa guy 💯👍e🇫🇷
@@NOVEMBER5TH2024 the photo of ep in the casket is a picture trimmed and arranged to have you think it is a snap shot of Elvis in the casket at least 500 people walked pass. Thank you so very much spa guy..knowone investigates Elvis like you.
You give us so .much information on Elvis throughout the years. . Just wanted to say to you...thanks for all that you do..concerning Elvis. God bless.
@@jh8338 well said
@@jh8338 where is your proof of that??? Unless you have somthing to prove what you stated...you should seek mental help
If he was face down for hours then there would be a lot of blood pooling on his face. It would take a ton of make-up to hide that.
@@jamesmartin8069 very true. My cousin died of a heart attack and her face was almost black from the blood that pooled into her face.
As a funeral director and embalmer with almost 20 years of experience I think the photo is fake.
Interesting Sam, I have a question do you think the picture of Elvis is a altered photo or was his face lifted?
Sam i knew that it wasn't elvis in the coffin
I believe it was an altered photo, I stand by what spa guy said in video about the camera and he thought the original photos didn't come out good. I have always heard people say that was there that it didn't look like him. That can be a normal reaction because how often do you see a man laying perfectly still with cosmetics on plus add that he had an autopsy performed.
But still he looks way too young in the photo.
Take a look at the last known photo of elvis in the black hawk coming the the gate of Graceland then look at casket photo
You know I agree with you Spa Guy this picture must not be the real deal. Regardless if it is or not Elvis never had a private moment even in his passing. Keep um coming y'all on this journey. Gold 🌟
I agree totally. I was 19 years old in 1977, and I remember that something did not look right with that “photo”!
We are distant cousins to Elvis on his mom's side. My Great Uncle looked so much like Elvis!!!
This is true
I believe that, the picture does look like him. Couldn't the family sued the National Enquire for publishing a fake photo ?????
Mary Vernooy pp
This is a much more plausible explanation.
Nope, it’s a wax figure from Madam Trousseau.
This is NOT THE 42 YEAR OLD ELVIS......PERIOD
Don't people realize the mortuary makes all the corpses beautiful for viewing ???
@@cherieallen2539 Not 100% of the time.
I've always said that is not how Elvis looked when he died. It may be Elvis but at a younger age.
Cool name and stories
Excellent research, Billy! You helped me see the story in a different light, and I'm thinking your theory on the photo is correct!
The photo almost looks like a cartoon drawing especially the casket.
(Probably because Charlie Hodge had cut chunks off.)
Given the dark and probably distorted and difficult to recognize image of Elvis in the Mann photo the Enquirer graphic artist reconstructed the much more flattering picture of him in a similar manner as Billy Spa Guy has described.
I've seen it
I didn’t ever believe it was Elvis because I thought at the time he died he was heavier. I definitely agree with you spa guy😀
I believe that you are right. The coffin does look li,like, a drawing and that it is a photocopied picture of a younger Elvis.
You are absolutely right. The picture of Elvis in that coffin was a photo of when he wa in his twenties.
Ideaa from that. God blessed him
I agree. I was one of the many that bought this copy and still have it. I never thought that it was him for the same reasons eveyone says. great job.
Always thought it looked more like a sketch than a photo has it wasn't a sharp picture, I think that you are right spa guy about it. Still think that's its a shame that someone who was part of Elvis family would still try and take a photo on that sad day for money.

Elvis was overweight when he died. That photo looks like an image from his very early adult years.
I agree with you..looks like late 60's pic of our beloved Elvis..never have believed this photo was was legit..will always love EP ❤🔥❤🔥

Said this before but i think this Elvis looks like the Elvis we know in Live a little love a little. Young Elvis
Cerry Berry i agree. His family has never said anything about this picture,i find that rare too
My mom was 100 and looked 60 in her casket. The skills existed in 77 quite like they are now.
Great job! Liked and subbed. And yes, I bought one of them 6.5 million copies (and I still have it).
