I sank an enemy and he told me i'd sunk an ally, nearly giving me a heart attack.
first time I spotted a "submarine" was during Operation Narai, when the last group of enemy ships spawned...
Yep stuck him in my vanguard and first time out I take out a DD and Jingles goes "we have sunk a allied battleship" and I'm looking around going "what?". Lol

Game starts... get stuck-in... first thing he says is " Enemy Submarine spotted .". I'm like " OH SHIT! They're already in the game now ? " Full Brown Alert. Oh, Jingles. Perfect as Ever.
Just goes to show that when submarines get launched we will feel very vulnerable to them

@@calebdoty9090 So is the Kitakaze. Both being ships of the IJN, so from a purely historical point of view it's basically friendly fire. So thus sinking an allied Battleship.
@@clothar23 I think you did not get the point here. In WW2 the British, Soviets, Americans, French, etc are referred to as Allied nations. That's what Ymir referred to, and the same thing popped to my mind when reading the original comment.

After sailing around an island and seeing an enemy ship that was just sunk, Jingles shouting "Enemy submarine detected" was a very fitting comment to get. :D

To be fair... the "narrow" spread of this and other DDs is way too wide. Usually to the detriment of said DD, but I guess this is balans
Yup, as a habitual Kitakaze player, those were all narrow spread torps... It's just that the kita has 6 and it looks like the wide spread of other, lesser DDs. But then again, were we expecting anything else from our beloved Gnome Overlord?
@@wingsofwrath4647 As a Zao captain, with 2 quintuple launchers on each side, I have a similar experience. The narrow spread doesn't look that narrow due to it being 5 torps per launch, and the wide spread is ludicrously wide, like a third to half of the ships entire torpedo firing arc.

First time I used the Jingles captain he said "Enemy submarine spotted!" and I about shit myself in a panic. Jingles, you must be some kind of gnome-troll hybrid.
They might have slightly overdone the comedy "You have sunk an allied..." just a little bit. British humour is a bit more subtle than that, if he said that only every so often it would be much more entertaining.

I think they did it on purpose.
From a pure gameplay perspective it's better to have an announcer that is always wrong than having an announcer that is almost always reliable and sometimes throws you off by getting things wrong.
@@naphackDT I get that, but that is the Jingles we know and love. It also keeps you on top of your game in terms of awareness.
you do know that those lines are completely randomised? Its just chance that 2 "allied" lines were spoken one after the other

The phrase "Actually Jingles" takes on a whole new meaning.
One thing the Jingles announcer is great for is reminding you to check the minimap. He'll tell you when he sees something, but you'll never be sure just _what_ he saw unless you check for yourself. And if it's a destroyer and you're in a battleship and Jingles gets it wrong and you don't check, well...

This is awesome. Congrats Jingles! I remember when this was first mentioned/joked about and I made comments about they needed to make sure you identified things wrong from time to time. So glad they captured your naval identification expertise.

Only thing I would change: when you destroy a ship, it should be random whether Jingles says it’s an enemy or ally.

Half way done earning the Jingles captain. "oh no saltminer" says Wargaming here are some heavy disconnect issues.
I got jingles commander
Immediately absolutely no connection to the server (that doesn't drop as soon as I load into a match)
It's been like this for 3 days now
I had to stop the video at time stamp 01:40 so that I could change the voice setting in WoWS! I did jump when the voice of Adm. Jingle said, "enemy carrier spotted". It took about two second to realize that there were no CV's in the battle. :)

I put The Mighty Jingles on the HMS Black Swan. First Tier One match, "We've spotted an enemy destroyer." 'Umm no, there are only "cruisers", though that Erie is kind of small.' Only ship captain you can have an argument with, for not good reason, while having fun. Love it. About the only thing I question is if every ship we sink will be an "Allied" ship of some kind.
I'm not complaining. But do you say "We've sunk and Allied..." every time? I think it would be nicer if it wasn't so repetative. I'm a little worried it will get old too quickly. If it was only every so often I'd be very very happy indeed.

Oh Jingles, he didn't switch to wide spread torpedoes, he was still on narrow spread. The spread on those 6 tubed launchers doesn't get much narrower.
Sailed out in my first battle in the Hood today (my intended ship for Cap'n Jingles) and the first enemy spotted was a Bismarck. On my flank.
That battle went about as well as History did

I have always liked how that even if you don't own a commander/have a commander but can't put them on a different nation specific ship, that you can just select different voices/langues in the settings. Like the ARP Commanders. Things like that always makes the game better in my opinion. :3

Actually jingles, the widespread torpedoes are a replay bug, it’s actually narrow spread being launched.
4:38 - torp dmg reduction only applies when torpedoes hit the torp bulges.
6:25 - he didn't switch to widespread, he zoomed in ^^
The best thing to happen to WoWs was the introduction of Jingles as a commander :)
Nothing like heading out in the Warspite with Jingles leading the way, rushing towards a cap the DD's do not want to probe, spotting a big beautiful Russian BB entering the cap, and then the words of wisdom from Jingles .. Allied Submarine spotted. Later on we've killed three enemy ships to none and have two caps and Jingles spouts "We just might win this one" or something like that. Of course it went downhill from there and we lost .. not one enemy DD was killed and those four and two BB were left on other side. Of course I did put two cits into a cruiser with the Warspite and heard the lovely "That's a paddlin". Makes it all worthwhile.
Can we get 2 versions of this? This honestly hilarious version and 1 for more serious play with correct ship call outs?

I don't know enough about this game to understand why listening to your kill voice over the original is better but best of luck, i'm downloading the game now :)

6:30 Accctttuuuuulllllyyyy Jingles, that was still a narrow spread torpedo launch. The Kita and the Haru both have fairly wide "narrow" torpedo spreads. If he had switched to the wide spread it would have looked even more ridiculous.

Adding Jingles to the game is the single best move WoWs has made since getting out of Beta.
Got my own Commander Jingles and have him at the helm of my Warspite. As he should be.
I have never sunk so many allied ships or spotted so many submarines in a game before getting commander Jingles.

The most shocking thing is that both Buffalo's survived till near the end with 7 battleships on each side.
I put my Admiral Jingles on my Orion T4 Battleship. First battle I get into after that I broadside salvo a destroyer with HE and obliterate him, and I got THE iconic Jingles line: That's a paddlin'. It is so glorious to have our gnome overlord commanding one of my ships.
Just unlocked him, gonna go down the British BB line now! Figured I'd listen to this while I play :P
