    The subtlety of power hammering in that shirt..

    I have never seen a situation where it pays to rent over purchasing the tool you need. I rebuilt a retaining wall next to my old house in the hood (109 Mulberry St. Mt. Auburn in Cincinnati) and rented scaffolding. By the time I got that job done and all of that scaffolding returned, I could have purchased that scaffolding. If I had purchased that scaffolding, I also could have repaired that wall at a more leisurely rate. Then I would have that scaffolding when the job was done.

    The jack hammer leaning against the garage fainted when it saw what the Bauer could do.

      Lol. I gave that one to my nieces husband, he's the last active plumber in the family now. I kept the Bauer.

    So, the locking collar was designed to be the way it was when I got it. It's different than a Bosch. Apparently they want you to flip it up to lock in these this type of bit, and down for ones with a locking collar, which I never use, so I'm content with the way I modified it.

    The 60lb Hercules is decent for most demo. & Usually what's needed something that's needed.60-90lb. i can pick this up gently used for 200 though. so I'm thinking about it

    That is a sick shirt. And I am using the term "sick" as it was used in the 70's.

    Why is Uranus so special?
    One particularly curious feature of Uranus is its off-kilter positioning. The gas giant is tipped on its side, spinning on its axis at nearly a right angle to its orbital path around the sun, which requires a lengthy 84 Earth-years to complete.

    Good video, appreciate you putting this out. Have a question for you, about the thickness / age items you mentioned, on the stuff you're breaking up. Most of your stuff is old, and somewhat thin... What I need to break up, is the 8" foundation-runners for a mobile home, that were only poured about 7 years ago (2013-2014). Do you think think this thing has the ooompf and longevity of use, to go through that amount of concrete...? Am anxious that it's not strong enough to go through 8'" deep, 24" wide, and the sidewalk runners that were under that mobile home; am estimating probably 150-200' overall...

    • @ChrisGilliamOffGrid
      @ChrisGilliamOffGrid  4 роки тому

      That's a good question. Eight inches is tough. Mine has been reliable so far, and it would probably eventually do it, but I think the larger model would be better suited for that job.

    • @n7hevn
      @n7hevn 4 роки тому

      @@ChrisGilliamOffGrid Chris, thanks for the reply. Do you mean, 'the larger model', referencing the one like you have, or the next Hercules model step-up at Harbor Freight, that's like $600-plus ?

    • @ChrisGilliamOffGrid
      @ChrisGilliamOffGrid  4 роки тому

      @@n7hevn I would think either one. The 90 Bosch like I have is around $1600 now I think, or more. I believe that if you got the big Harbor Freight one you get a 90 day warranty with it.

    At this point whenever the ground shakes, windows rattle or thundering sounds can be heard the entire neighborhood knows it's just Chris with one of his many bad ass toys. Sure glad you could modify this demolition hammer to function properly. It seems to be pounding away without consent now. ;)

    I got stone wall pretty big stones one on another with concrete between them I wonder if this hammer is good to demolish that wall. Can I plug it to the wall outlet just like a normal electric tool? or I need something extra? because I see a warning on the website saying, "Requires 20 amp 120 volt circuit." and I'm not exactly sure what that means and if my regular wall outlets at home have this kind of power"

    • @ChrisGilliamOffGrid
      @ChrisGilliamOffGrid  4 роки тому

      Yep. You can plug it right in, unless your house was built in the 50s.
      Check you breaker box, your outlets are either on 15 amp breakers or 20. You should be fine with either on this.

    That slab looks like it's ONE inch thick & could break it up with a HAMMER... NOT impressed with the project... If you were working on a DRIVEWAY with 6-8" thick slab... now THAT would be a test.. this is a baby slab..
