Scott...this is the BEST Demo on the Stark I have ever seen. I was able go do this demo to my Mason and Foreman after I imported on to Jamaica...where all they work with is concrete. They laughed at me...before I did the demo and before they used it.
So far...they have used it to make my 54 year old beach house rennovation 16 inch brick and concrete house...OPEN CONCEPT...like I want it...lol. Before the drill..I was renting one with an operator for $50 per day. Waste of money...because the top brands sell for over $1000 in JA...so very few concrete worker owns one.
So everytime I come back to JA I bring at least 2 as business gifts and barter with my workmen for some FREE LABOR. House will be finished by the summer. This thing cut my rennovation cost AND my labor cost in half as well.

I had written quite a little bit on this based on something I heard. I finally got a reply back back from ExtremePowerUS regarding the oil to use on these, and he just said any regular oil from 20 to 40 weight. Gee I hope the heavy duty Shell Rotella 5W-40 Synthetic for diesels does not prove to be too much. They should really have explained all that in depth in their Owner's Manual, but it wasn't even mentioned.

LOL! I have looked at some reviewers on Ebay for this machine and at least a couple claimed they used light machine oil. That had me baffled, as I would not use such in a machine like this. The reviews are great on this unit and Ebay sells them cheaper than Amazon, plus they accept PayPal. I ordered 2 different types of spades for it. I have an old broken tree stump in my back yard which the inspectors claim can't be taken out with a stump grinder, as an electric power line runs beneath it and the roots have entwined in that line. I have the area marked and will use mine to remove roots and later I will chop the stump flat and use a heavy duty root killer to kill the thing so it can be removed. I don't know if synthetic oil works well for this machine or not. I am hoping I can use this without it killing my shoulders, as I have bad arthritis. The manual is often the worse bitch about this machine in all the reviews. The print is way to small for me, so I will have to get my magnifier to even begin reading it. We have had a couple of major thunderstorms here for the past 2 days and I just got mine delivered today, so I have not had a chance to use it, yet. The soil here is caliche and as hard as cement, even after a heavy rain. This video sure helps me a lot as to what to expect. I have a heavy duty extension cord to try out in using this machine, too.

@@a1930ford I have seen people use just regular 30 weight oil, and I am sure that will keep the metal good enough, but if you really want to protect your metal, you want to run a full synthetic. I believe I am running Rotella 5W-40 Synthetic for diesels. The action of my jack hammer is rough on the oil, and I can tell by the way I run through it as I have to check all the time to keep it from going low. I was recommended the specific weight because of where I live from Rotella's technical support which is a Shell product I believe, and people trust it enough to put it into fleets of expensive big diesel engines. I would have gotten the Amsoil equivalence, but had to go too far to get it.....Any oil is better than no oil, but use a quality oil, and one that will adjust to your temperature range. You would probably not want to start one on a cold day with standard 30 weight. It could cause an initial stiff amount of drag on startup, and it is never good to strain any motor.
Good luck to you on your tree stump. If you are cautious, and surgical enough, you should be able to avoid the wires under it. I learned to use the aluminum oxide steel cutting blades to remove a tree stump, cutting through each root at a time, and then used a cherry picket to lift it out. Just make sure to be able to see in full, and behind it, whatever you are cutting. The aluminum oxide blades are good because they are expendable. Keeping a spray bottle of water is good too in case the blade ignited the tree, as it will smoke. Stay safe.
Oh, and regarding your bad soil, if you lay mulch over it year after year, it will enliven it to a humus state. You just do not want to get it too close to the house because of bugs.

I wanted to ask you if you think this demo hammer will be good for breaking concrete in a rotted out fence post hole? So instead of digging them out I want to be able to just put the chisel on the concrete and bust it out. And pull out pieces. I figured it should be way faster than digging them out.
Anyways that's my plan for mine when I get it.
Do you feel it will work for that?

Thanks for the video and showing the steps when first getting the tool. I must say the provided manual is “crap” and does not explain AT ALL very well where or how to feed the oil into it. The manual actually points to removing the cap where carbon brush is located and does not even mention anything about unscrewing the oil window as to where to feed it oil.
I must also warn those that get one, careful with removing the carbon brush screw and screwing back in, it’s a little tricky and hard to seat the brush and spring before screwing the cap back on.
    Great video! Thanks again.

That Demolition Hammer only less than $200? Wow! I want to get a rotary hammer and was looking at the Bosch rotary hammer rh540m that has 6.1 pounds of blow force for $400 or the Milwaukee 2 inch rotary hammer that has 19.1 pounds of blow force that would cost more than $800 dollars. All I want to do is use one to drill holes in the ground to place 4 x 4 fence posts where the soil has packed rock in the ground. So would you recommend that Demolition Hammer you have and for the price is amazing. How longs does that Demolition Hammer last?

This is the 5th tile project we've done where we've removed the old tile before installing new tile, and the first one with this tool ua-cam.com/users/postUgkxqqoaX03nrziKwF7Bjjcc71YzLEleMvOS . I want to cry for all the unnecessary work we've done in the past. With this tool, we removed tile surrounding a fireplace, as well as the hearth tile, set in loads of cement, in less than an hour. I highly recommend this tool. It was easy to use, and very satisfying watching the tile literally fall off the wall.

Nasruddin Khan see if I understand this right your Hammer is not striking the blade this coming down for you to get a good hit first you need to go ahead and make sure you have enough oil in it most likely you already have have you changed out the oil did you also check your bushings the brushes sorry there's two of them on the on the demolition hammer need to check that it doors if there's no problem with those then you are going to have to tear it apart to make sure the fend if it's Teflon you may have to replace the fin if it's metal make sure there's no debris and no vents let me know if there's any more questions

I just got an XtremePower 2200w electric jack hammer similar looking to the one you have except the brand name. As I opened the cardboard box that the jack hammer and carrying case comes in, I found the box was soaked with oil at one end.
I opened the carrying case that the jack hammer comes in and one end was also soaked in oil. I found out where the oil was coming from, then end of the jack hammer where you attach the tools into. Did your jack hammer come soaked in oil? I got a reply from Xtremepower customer service telling me that it was common for the oil to leak out during shipment, and to add more oil.
They said if it continued to leak oil to return the jack hammer for replacement or refund. They also said to use 30 weight oil. I'm going to put 15w-40 in it and see if it all leaks out again.
You would think that they would tell you this stuff in the instruction manuals, but they don't, the manuals are cheap and worthless.
