Had a 10 strike streak. one thing i also found helpful is noting the distance between the old guy's head and the lava on the volcano in the background. i like to put about a head's distance between the top of his head and the bright pink lava. Helps line things up better and faster.

You make less money with dragon horns in the same amount of time. When you calculate the bows and arrows you lose, plus the time it takes to wait for the items to hit the ground, pick up all the items then sell them AND that you can only have up to 40 horns on the ground at a time before they stop appearing. With bowling you can get 300 rupees on the spot every 20 seconds. No wasted materials, pick ups or selling needed.
Not a bad method. I got several strikes using it. However it's easy to move the camera around to cover the deer statue while still standing in a different position. I think it would be better if you could point out other markers. Like the position of Death Mountain in the distance relative to Pondo, etc.
I figured out the trick. DON'T TOUCH THE RIGHT STICK! Just lock on to Pondo then move Link only using the left stick until the snow ball covers the deer statue.
I do something easier, more or less in front of the guy (where the ball lands in your method) there's a lump in the beginning of the ramp, if you leave the ball right in the middle, it will go stright through the middle of the elk statues, I get a strike most of the times, and the good thing is that if there's one or two pillars that didn't fall, deppending on if you drop it more to the left or right of the of the lump you can aim a little and get 100 rupees I'll definetly give your method a try to see if I'm more precise with that
If you're at Hebra, it would be a lot more fun to ride around on Ganon's horse with a bow and shooting moose, boar, and wolves. Hebra wolves almost always drop gourmet meat. I got 50 prime and 15 gourmet in 10 minutes.
Cooking endura 5 carots and then sell them is less repetitive and almost as good as this method ^^ (you find them near fairy fountain and on satori mountain)

You'll never make as much money as fast by fast traveling, loading the area picking up carrots, cooking them, then going somewhere to sell them. Oh and then waiting several in game days for them to regrow. This isn't about how to make rupees in a fun way, it's about efficiency.
My method of rupee farming is a little slower. I scan in my 50+ amiibo each day which gives me loads of meat i then cook them all up in batches of 5 into meat skewers and sell them all for 120 rupee each. Enough to get me about 3000 per day or if i need more i just hunt on the Tabantha tundra for 30 mins getting gourmet meat which when cooked up sells for 490 rupee per skewer. i've not had money problems and have bought everything i find.

That's boring... just collect every mineral deposit when you travel and you'll get enough ruppees for everything there is to buy in the game. let alone the monster bones and ancient pieces!
It's not patched. It was never a glitch. Pondo and the statues are purposely placed where they are to give you a hint of where to stand to get a strike. Still works as of Feb 2018.
That's BS. I've been doing this since Dec 2017. Its now Feb 2018 and it still works. The game purposely gives you this chance to grind to make rupees. It's not a glitch. Just like how your SUPPOSE to farm dragon horns otherwise you wouldn't need more than one for upgrades.

I never get this consistently, but its a great way nonetheless. I still prefer just farming prime meat cuts and cooking them all for 200-500 per.
