I wanted to see a regular person run. Where you have to sit down and eat three meals a day(maybe a snack or two in between). And going to sleep(or rest at a fire) every night. Only explore during the day. Perhaps take it even further and no healing unless it's meal time. Or having to physically wait until day, no resting at a fire. Only sleep in beds.
Honestly I'd rather that be slightly realistic of an adventurer lifestyle. Link isn't a farmer, he's an adventurer. While generally that means sleeping at night, that also means that you sleep basically wherever you can manage to, not exclusively in a bed. It also means that sleeping at night isn't always a possibility. Neither is stopping to eat, you kinda have to do that in motion a lot of time as an adventurer. Especially an adventurer actively hunted by assassins both day and night, not to mention monsters.
charles stansell Let me try to propose an exact opposite. It’s called a Vampire Run. Let me start by saying that to my knowledge, this challenge would be impossible if it started from the very beginning due to the day-night cycle not starting until you progress through certain events on the Great Plateau, so we will say that your conversion to a vampire happens the first night, and nothing I am about to say applies on that first day. You are not permitted to be exposed to direct day light ever. If you are ever exposed to the sun after whatever point the day/night cycle begins, treat it as an instant death and load from a previous save. You are always safe from this rule during the night because the sun isn’t out making it the optimal travel time, but during the day, you will need to avoid sunlight. All indoor locations are fair grounds 24/7. You can hide in houses, in shrines, in caves, in those giant monster skulls often used as hideouts, under various structures, under large trees, and more things I can’t think of at the moment. You can always stay at any inn to pass time, but staying at a campfire would require it to be at a location that is safe for vampire Link to reside. I don’t know how to treat clouds in this run (whether or not they would protect you from the sunlight). I don’t know enough about vampires to determine a BOTW equivalence for a mandated diet, so maybe a future comment can help with that, but I would imagine it‘s not as simple as just eating nothing but simmered fruit and mushroom skewers.
That’s impossible there’s a shrine literally next to a fairy fountain and if ur, and if ur focused enough to get all 120 shrines then u would for surely notice that
Realistic Challenge! Life rules: Try to be as realistic as possible. You have to eat at least one meal everyday and sleep at night, sleeping at a fire is only ok if no bed is available. You also have to feed your horse, sand seal, or other random animal. If you’ve been traveling for a long time then you need to rest for a bit (includes traveling on horseback or surfing). You aren’t allowed to fast travel. If you die it’s over and you have to restart from the beginning of the game. You can attempt any shrine, quest, divine beast, battle, etc... just beware that not everything is possible, and certainly not easy! Play with pro interface. Use of Sheikah Slate (runes) is optional. If you want to go true and only use it to get off the plateau, go ahead. If you prefer to see it as your only advantage, that’s fine as well. Using the map is always allowed, though you can go without it if you desire. Food rules: Fairy tonics are treated the same as elixirs. You can only eat food just as you cook it and cannot hoard items or ingredients. You can’t eat more than 3 meals at once since you get full. You can carry up to six elixirs if you’re not making them on the on the spot. You can drink as many elixirs as you want, since they’re about the size of two shot glasses. Fighting rules: Fairies are allowed for revival, and you can have as many as you want. You can only hold two weapons, or three if they are small, you aren’t allowed to use flurry rush or bullet time since normal people can’t do that; no champion abilities. Dodges and parries are allowed but you can’t flurry rush. Upgrading clothing is ok but you can only carry 3 extra armor pieces in addition to what you’re wearing (you can only switch them out once a day). You cannot switch armors during battles but can drink elixirs (same rules as one of them in the video). If you get hit directly you have to recover. Anything I missed about being a normal person? I’m going to try to do this myself and see just how difficult a regular life is.
Or just avoid rain whenever possible, like the NPCs. In real life though I just walk through rain as if it’s a regular day, but I think that’s just me.
This is a late comment, but I came up with a great playthrough idea I've dubbed: *One Armour Class Fits All!* Key point: -You only choose 1 class type of armour set for a complete playthrough (e.g. Full Hylian Set or Hylian Hood+Trousers+Champion's Tunic, Full Snowquill Set, Full Ancient Set). All other sets are locked out of your playthrough much like a class system. -Default armour set when undecided is your Old Clothes via Shrine of Resurrection. -All other environmental and combat benefits are only obtainable via Food, Tonics and Weapons unless benefits are achieved through armour class (e.g. Snowquill Set for Cold Resistance). -Armour upgrading is allowed. -In the case of Zora Questline, Zora Tunic is allowed to complete quest. Cease use afterwards unless part of chosen Class. -Gerudo Vai Set is the only exception to owning a secondary set. -All one piece armour sets are banned. Meaning no Warm Doublet, Jewelry, Thunder Helm ect. -Amiibo Armour sets count as Class types. -DLC Armour set counts as Class Types. -This idea can pair nicely with Mono-Weapon Idea and Single Weapon Class Idea. This is optional.
Super pro mode actually really helps you appreciate the size of the world. People always teleport around the place making everything seem connected but when you have to spend 10min on horseback to get anywhere it feels so much more alive
I already did the no horse one, I went through the entire game and didn't get a horse till I saw one getting attacked and I saved him and named him kevin
Here's a challenge: It's just a normal play through, however, every time you enter a shrine, you must complete it. You are not allowed to leave, and if you do, you are forfeiting the shrine orb forever as you are not allowed back in. Also, if you fail the shrine by dying, you must leave the shrine. The only exceptions to this are the Great Plateau shrines (obviously) and the two Dueling Peaks shrines that require you to use both of them to solve each other's shrine.
I came up with a set of rules for my second playthrough before master mode came out. I found the game to be more enjoyable this way and a lot more challenging without taking away any of the amazing options and mechanics the game has to offer. I didn't follow the rule set on my master mode playthrough because it was just too challenging. Here's the rule set, I promise you that it is a lot of fun. Pro mode: ·Can only eat at cooking pots, can only eat hearty foods when hp is maxed out. (potions you can use anywhere at any time) ·Can eat meat from bokoblins campfires on the spot only (can't take away) ·Every two divine beasts you unlock you can carry a fairy. Any other fairy you find you have to use right away. ·Unlock towers only after completing 4 shrines in it's area, the divine beast and Lomei labyrinth if the area also has one (Try using the map only in towns and stables). ·Everytime you die you drop the weapon, bow and shield you were carrying when you died. Except for champion's weapons. ·No teleport until you have completed all shrines. (You can use the travel medallion) ·Max. 13 hearts ·Help travelers ALWAYS! (You can eat the food they give you right away) ·Can only use the champion's abilities when you have colected all the memories and only at Hyrule Castle ·Pro Hud ·Every blood moon you choose a bow, a shield and melee weapon to keep and drop the rest unless you make it into a town, a stable or the top of a tower before the cut-scene. You can also get to keep the champion's weapons. You are immune to this effect while on eventide island trial, Lomei labyrinths and inside divine beasts. ·Upgrade inventory evenly (shield, then bow, then weapon) ·Every time you enter a Lomei labyrinth you can't equip any of the weapons you carry and inside the labyrinth you can only use the weapons you find there. ·Master Sword only after completing all forgotten memories and getting the Hylian Shield
Just an idea that foods can get rotten. How about you can store foods but only for a day or two in game time. After that you need to throw all the old and get or cook new ones.
I didn’t play the game for well over 1.5 years after doing everything for the first time. I just recently started playing again on master mode and let me tell you, it’s magical again
I have another idea, I call it 'botw link'. As soon as you have the chance get the Master Sword, the Champions Tunic and the Hylian Trousers and use that ONLY for the rest of the game.
Victorian Jordan Peterson I came up with A Link From The Past. Get the Master Sword, the Champion’s Tunic and the Hylian Trousers, and then make it so that you have nothing else. Be Link from 100 years ago by exchanging at the Hateno Village statue for only 3 hearts and no upgrading your tunic or trousers for the whole game. You aren’t allowed to wear any other armor, swords, or shields, and you can’t have any fairies and champion abilities must be disabled for the entire game. No extended stamina and you aren’t allowed food until after each battle. All memories must be recovered before facing Ganon and no extra yellow hearts.
Hyper Leaks and shock arrows. Yeah... didn’t really think that through. But, it’s until you can get the MS blade, so you could always get a thunderspear before that and take down Rita that way. Idk about the other 2 tho... I’ll have to think on it.
my favorite made up achievement is super annoying and tedious. I call it “through fire and (blue) flames”. It has multiple tiers of difficulty but the goal always remains the same: light the torch that unlocks the Tho Kayu shrine using a blue flame. The multiple tiers of difficulty come from the following variations: Hateno to Gerudo -- easy bro. Akkala to Gerudo -- harder Either with pro HUD -- jeez man My personal favorite is the “Molduga Death clock”, where you have to kill the Molduga beforehand and then bring the flame back before a blood moon. It’s TORCHure, trust me, but you feel like Frodo Baggins, carrying the lame macguffin across fantasy land, avoiding all conflict.
I have an excellent idea for a Breath of the Wild run: I don't know what to call it, but essentially, it requires you to become the Link you were 100 years ago (the one from the flashbacks and cutscenes). To put simply: - The only outift you can wear is the Champion's Shirt and the Hylian Trousers. Until you can get them, you can wear the old ratty outfit you get at the start (since this is before you realize you're the Link from a long time ago). This of course means you will have to make good use of climate-guarding food. - You can only use one-handed swords. Only swords (no clubs, boomerangs, torches or whatever). And once you can access it, you must get the Master Sword, and only use that whenever you can. - No bows or shields. Obvious exception is the Bow of Light for the final boss. - For story purposes, you have to uncover the memories in chronological orders (1-18, plus the DLCs if you have it). You have to do this if you want the Champion's Shirt. - For fun, you have to stay focused on your goal to save Zelda: you must go straight to your next goal (be it for a story mission or a memory, i.e. after getting the memory of Revali, you will have to do the Vah Medoh dungeon). You can do shrines along the way, but no going out of your way for them. - No fast travel. You have to rely on your own two feet, and a horse. - For more fun, this should be on Master Mode, and with Pro HUD. - No amiibo. What do you think?
@0:50 Oops The Anniversary of The Legend of Zelda for NES.... not of Breath of the wild... I Misspoke Upadate: Now "Achievements" are listed in the descirption.
I have an idea for a run! A no paraglider run! You're not allowed to use the paraglider, the only exception is when you need to absolutely use it ( Great Plateau) besides from that looks like you're finding another way down!
Soulcrusher364 I have one. I'll call it: Rage Quit Challenge! So first you perform the no shikah slate glitch, in master mode. You must then complete dlc pack 1 and 2, unlock every tower, find every korok, complete every shrine, beat all four divine beasts, and then beat ganon. All without any stamina usage and no extra hearts, WHATSOEVER. And no armour. Oh, and restart upon death for an extra challenge.
I have one, I call it True Lynel: -Finish the Plateu -Every Weapon off the plateu that you collect must be from a lynel -They can be collected from chests, but must be lynel themed (So, you can only collect lynel themed bows, shields, and weapons. -Arrows collected from lynel are good -You can only eat meat, or dishes with meat in them -You must get the lynel mask as soon as you can, and wear the barbarian armor (Don't worry, for things like Vah Ruta or Naboris, you can change your outfits, but change it back when you're done.) Good Luck, if you try it. :>
Here’s an idea for a game mode: “The Wild Magician.” The rules are as follows: You are Link the Magician, and thus must use magical (elemental) attacks whenever possible throughout the entire game. You are allowed to use: The elemental rods. Let’s be real here, they’re literally just magic wands. Elemental weapons such as the Thunderspear and Frostblade. (You are also allowed to use the Windcleaver and Korok Leaf as “wind element” weapons.) Weapons that are on fire, namely the Torch. These count as fire element attacks, obviously. Elemental arrows. Elemental Chuchu Jelly. Normal attacks imbued with Urbosa’s Fury. Normal arrows, but only if they are set on fire. Bombs and Bomb Arrows (counts as fire element.) If your horse is on fire, you can run over enemies with your horse. Optional variations on this game mode: You may elect to run over enemies with horses that are not on fire. You may elect to use Magnesis as a fifth element (Earth or Gravity, take your pick.) You may elect to throw rocks at enemies as an Earth element attack. You may elect to use normal weapons if you have completely run out of magical attacks (this rule is only in effect until Bombs are obtained, as Bombs are infinite.) You may consider the Bow of Light and Twilight Bows “Light Element” weapons if you have them.
I don’t see the point. If a game wants to have achievements, they can just add them to the game like in Smash Ultimate. I don’t see the point of achievements that have no gameplay purpose.
If you wanna your "achievement" be creative and play the game with other ways. Then take photos/videos and show as your trophy. It have more value than an "achievement" or a "trophy" that nobody cares.
I know i'm a little late, but I just wanted to let you know that I started a whole new game with two of Austin's ideas: Permadeath and Super Pro Mode! That's a good combo and I am really excited to play that way! Thanks Austin!
My own challenge: Only eat food at a campfire or cooking pot or another area that seems like a place to eat food, such as links house. You can drink elixers tho.
On 39, you can add nuts to restore health by elixir. I have a formula: 1 vial monster extract 1 nut (chickaloo tree nut or acorn) 1 critter (lizard, insect, etc.) 1 monster part, guts work especially well 1 ancient part
I actually played through without extending my stamina and, I must say, it REALLY changed the game entirely for the better. Everything has to be thought out, cooking stamina regenerating foods is a must, and you have to have better timing with everything stamina related. Really fun, highly recommend it.
Thing is, you don't necessarily have to complete the divine beasts in order to beat the game. You can just fight the blights at the end of the game before fighting Ganon. You just won't have the Champion's Abilities and Ganon will be at max health for the battle.
The eventide one is just like the pokemon anime, but pikachu is replaced by the master sword and you're not a moron who never ages for the past 20 years
The rules I want to follow for my next run for the moment: -Four bottles maximum (elixirs) and you cannot use them in battle. Go hide somewhere if you want to eat/drink. -You fall in lava, it's game over! Lava should put more pressure than that. Thank you for all these ideas! Great video!
The no fast travel one is something I’ve been implementing more and more in my game and it really makes me think differently about how I go about my playing. I explore things I never would have thought of if I could just jump around.
Tribal Barbarian Challenge - Master Mode - kill all enemies you encounter, this includes the white maned lynel on the Great Plateau - The only tower you are allowed to unlock before starting the challenge is the Great Plateau After that, you have to get to the Three Lomei Labyrinths as soon as possible and get the whole Barbaric Set - You are NOT allowed to take the armor off at the end of the game - The challenge ends when all 3 barbarian armors are 4 Starred from Great Fairies
Vampire Run You can only go outside during night hours. If the sun comes while you're outside, you have to fast travel back to the great plateau, setup camp and sit til night again.
Having a lot of fun with pro mode and walker! It really lets you appreciate horses, and it's really nice for seeing a lot more of the landscape. Very good for casually getting a little bit more out of your adventure. :)
I recently started my second playthrough with the intention of no teleportation. I have added super pro mode after watching this and I refuse to change armour or ear food during combat. Elixers are acceptable because one could feasibly quaff a potion quickly.
Came to this video to see if my current "challenge" playstyle was included. The Timeless run: it actually combines a lot of the ones mentioned -Only 3 hearts (to a max of 8) and a single stamina wheel. -No warping, except to the travel medallion, both labs, and the divine beasts. -No nights, or random rain/storm. The time is ALWAYS 5:45AM. Naturally occurring Blood Moons will never happen. In order to start this run, you must skip the shrine of resurrection cutscene and avoid going near the entrance in the whole game. Then use skew clips into the 4 shrines to get the paraglider without the tower. You can still get the Master Sword with the campfire method (I think, haven't tried yet). Make sure to stock up on multishot bows and buy Link's house and set a few displays, you might have to duplicate equipment in the long run.
I’m doing the three heart, no map, no fast travel, no korok seeds, and no armor except the twilight princess link outfit run. It really makes you appreciate the beautiful scenery .
I thought of a way to play: The Real Life Challenge? You have pro hud on and no Sheika slate unless it’s necessary. Your not also allowed to use special abilities giving armor and champions abilities as well as special ability foods. Just like real life.
The Legend Of Zelda Breath Of The Wild IMPOSSIBLE CHALLENGE! (Note that this challenge Includes Doing all 4 Divine Beasts, getting all Memories and beating at least 40 shrines to get the master sword.) Stock Life, No Backups, Overweight, No Friends, Permadeath, Nudist, Defenseless, No Bows About It, Old iPhone, Mono-Class, Mono-type & Napper... In MASTER MODE!
no food in combat- only elixers. can only change your clothing if you are at an inn, clothing shop, or if you are camping with your horse (your horse-pack is carrying your clothing). you can limit your pockets to help reduce weapon/armour/bow "weight".
@@dcrawford813 Yeah! And people who have a basic understanding of human instinct, natural order , realize that humans are animals too and animals eat other animals and recognize that the food chain exists are horrible people.
“Have fun with the Guardian Scouts” Says Austin. Me leaning towards the Lynel near Zora’s Domain, because there are enough shock arrows lying around for you to take down Vah Ruta. (In association to the Pacifist challenge)
I have another idea! I call it “Time Lord”. Basically, you can only have Mipha’s grace, one weapon(which you can replace with the same weapon if it breaks) and optionally a shield and/or bow. Every time you die(and get revived by Mipha’s grace)you have to change your clothes, and you can’t change them until you die again. Also, you can’t recover health with food, only with the expensive sleep option. OPTIONAL: If you go under two hearts, you have to wait till Mipha is ready, and then kill your self with bombs. OPTIONAL: You can also give each of your regenerations a personality.
Wow, I did some of these. 3 heart run with all 120 spirit orbs. Next I started the game with the pro-hud and taped a tiny aluminum cap over my minus button so I could press it by accident. This means no map of any kind and no fast travel. Get to know Hyrule very well and get as much as you can while you are in that specific region. Still haven't found all the shrines with no maps or fast travel, but I did beat it. I kinda wish Nintendo would release an update for the ability to begin a file with some of these restrictions baked in.
Welp, a new video... a fabulous way to celebrate the 32nd anniversary of a game less than a year old... Yea, good ideas though. Seriously, I actually find the vegan one hilarious.
I really like number 31 (mono-class if you don't want to look). Imagine a game like botw, but you pick your class at the beginning, and that's the only drop you get. Monsters could still have other weapons, but they wouldn't drop them. You could even have a master spear/great master sword!
Oot/Majoras Mask Playthrough Only do things link was capable of in those Games. No climbing (Except on the things used for Game play like in shrines),Only can use Master sword (Get it ASAP until then only shitty swords),No Divine beast powers and no paraglider after the platue. oh and no cooking, have fun!
42:remember me:as soon as you leave the great plateau get the camera this also means you cant ,do the divine beasts,do shrines, unlock towers or kill ganon until you get all the memory's, Get the master sword after the other 17, then beat the game.
About #9, Pacifist Mode, does parrying projectiles back at Guardians and Octoroks count as killing them? Can you make enemies kill each other? Can you lure them into water? What actually counts as a kill?
Here some additionnel challenges: Night owl: you can only explore at night except at the start. Boogeyman: you can only explore during day and must sleep at night Realistic meal: you must/and can only eat 3 times a day: 1 dessert, 1 salad, 1 hot dish. I dont care if you are full life. Health problems: you simply can't run Barbarian: when you see an enemy, you must kill it no matter what. This dont apply to lynel and minibosses but you can add the crazy barbarian rule. Next level vegan: you can only eat rocks (yes you can do that) intended master run: if you play master mode, you're not allowed to go to the hyrule castle until you do all other main quest (including DLC) Oooh Shiny: on master mode, your're only allowed to take weapons from flying platform. And traveller weapons minimum. monsters class weapons are forbidden. Bye boomerangs. Bye wooden bad weapons, and rusted weapons. Ultra Hardcore run: Master Mode, 1 life , you can't regen health by all means. The only ways to regen health: hearty meals, potions, fairied. You can have a Maximum of 10 hearts. Realism run: no magic, no elemental arrows or weapons. Technology weapons allowed. You are allowed to put your arrows in flame and fire them. Ancien arrows allowed
jgmc2 For the Hyrule castle one, isn’t there’s shrine in the castle that would keep you from completing every other quest before going to Hyrule castle?
I really like the idea of a Nudist run. I may have to try that sometime along with a 3 heart run. As long as you use buffs, use the 11 inventory fairies trick and maybe even farm dragon horns for 30 minute buffs then it shouldn't be that hard at all. I always go thru half the game with only 3 hearts anyway as I always upgrade stamina fully before I even touch hearts, so this really should be fairly easy even with no armor equipped. Specially if you play in Standard Mode where the enemies stay weak and you don't die from OHKO hits as long as you have the full 3 hearts.
MaSpoofs nah, i thought once the dlc was over it was over, and usually when i go to my house i dont go upstairs. I love still discovering things in this game long after i didnt think i had any more reasons to play 😃
How about a barbarian play through? Get the barbarian set and only use "bone" weapons (only things from stal enemys and anything with the word "bone" in it is allowed.)
my personal custom mode: >collect 1000 apples before beating any shrines other than the ones on the great plateu >you cannot face *any* bosses/ minibosses (lyonel, hinox, talus, ect) untill you get 100 spirit orbs >you cannot convert spirit orbs into heart containers untill you beat all four blights (you can still drink health potions) >you cannot have food, you can only have potions. if you want to restore hearts eithout potions, you have to eat food that is not in meal form that privides 1 heart or less. (acorns, apples, ect) >if you find a weapon or shield with a lower quality you have to trade that in with the one younare holding. you cannot upgrade them. >You are only allowed ranged combat. this means you have to throw all your mele weapons at enemies, so i suggest you get elemental rods. >you are allowed *ONE* divine beast power at a time. you cannot use any divine beas powers untill all divine beasts are defeated. >you are allowed to change your divine beast power if you throw out all of your swords, bows, arrows, *OR* shields >you cannot get any weapons from monsters >you cannot get the master sword untill all shrines are completed >once all shrines are completed, you can make *ONLY* dubious food. no more potions. >you can only beat gannon when your meal inventory is 100% full of dubious food >no inventory expantions >if its raining, you have yo have at least one metal item on you unless you dont own any metal items >you cannot have more tham one peice of armor from the same set. you have to mix armor sets. >you cant wear better armor unless you upgrade them at least twice via fary fountain >you cannot sell anything. you can only get rupees from chests, rocks, yiga clan, or quests. >you cannot wear any buff-giving items (this includes the gerudo outfit. you are only allowed to wear it while in gerudo town.) >you cant collect the chests from shrines >no horses >no climbing >no elemental arrows, only standard arrows >you cannot buy from beedle >you can only buy *ONE* item once a night. not during the day. >you cant kill skeletal creatures >no ocean travel >every time you die you have to throw away one mele weapon, all your arrows, one bow, and one shield >you cannot have more than 10 defence at any given time unless you have 5000 apples, then there is no limit. >also, if you have 10,000 apples, you can play normally *IF* you havnt died at all. Im gonna try this mode. i call it "cancer mode". yall should try it out
Is it possible to combine all these ways into one playthrough? Answer: Totally! Although it still is not hard core enough bro Also, another good way is that you are not allowed to glide using your paraglider!
Dude Perfect Challenge: Your only weapons can be boomerangs, and only by throwing them. Your bows can be any bow, but your target must be out of sight, so your arrows have to be a high arc, like lynels somehow can do. You also have to every korok puzzle where you throw rocks into the circle of rocks off a bridge.
I've done something similar to the nudist run (a shirtless run, but it was in Master Mode so it was harder) and the only time you need to use any armour from what I can tell is: The crossdressing for Gerudo; the Zora Tunic, but only for hopping on Sidon's back and for the memory part of the Zora area (You do not need the tunic to climb any waterfalls or for Vah Rudania, because of cryonis and Ravioli's Fail); and certain interactions with characters who won't talk to you if you're naked.
I dare someone to combine ALL of the challenges and make an ULTIMATE CHALLENGE!!! (I know that some of the challenges listed in the video contradict each other. So for the ones that do that, pick out the hardest ones.) let me know if you did it! (Make sure you record your play through. I REALLY want to see that! Also, that's how I could actually believe you did it.) GOOD LUCK!!!! If you dare!

But we're still waiting for the "you have to take a poop" DLC.
Just like Digimon world....ugh.

Let me try to propose an exact opposite.
"Play the game without any armor upgrades"
Me: *beat Ganon and almost all 120 shrines not realizing armor could be upgraded*

Realistic Challenge!
Life rules:
Try to be as realistic as possible.
Food rules:
Fairy tonics are treated the same as elixirs.
Fighting rules:
Fairies are allowed for revival, and you can have as many as you want.
I’m going to try to do this myself and see just how difficult a regular life is.
maybe if its raining where a hood? idk
Or just avoid rain whenever possible, like the NPCs. In real life though I just walk through rain as if it’s a regular day, but I think that’s just me.

This is a late comment, but I came up with a great playthrough idea I've dubbed:
*One Armour Class Fits All!*
Key point:
-You only choose 1 class type of armour set for a complete playthrough (e.g.
Everyone like this.

I _did_ get a horse during my first play through, but I never used it. Since the story is over now, I use my horse all the time to look for Koroks.

Henriko Magnifico yes really fun to play twice

Pro mode:
·Can only eat at cooking pots, can only eat hearty foods when hp is maxed out. (potions you can use anywhere at any time)
·Can eat meat from bokoblins campfires on the spot only (can't take away)
·Every two divine beasts you unlock you can carry a fairy.
(You can use the travel medallion)
·Max. 13 hearts
·Help travelers ALWAYS! (You can eat the food they give you right away)
·Can only use the champion's abilities when you have colected all the memories and only at Hyrule Castle
·Pro Hud
·Every blood moon you choose a bow, a shield and melee weapon to keep and drop the rest unless you make it into a town, a stable or the top of a tower before the cut-scene. You can also get to keep the champion's weapons. You are immune to this effect while on eventide island trial, Lomei labyrinths and inside divine beasts.
·Upgrade inventory evenly (shield, then bow, then weapon)
·Every time you enter a Lomei labyrinth you can't equip any of the weapons you carry and inside the labyrinth you can only use the weapons you find there.
·Master Sword only after completing all forgotten memories and getting the Hylian Shield
This sounds super cool man! Especially the one with the blood moon. I will definitely try that one on my next replay.
Just an idea that foods can get rotten. How about you can store foods but only for a day or two in game time. After that you need to throw all the old and get or cook new ones.
@@PanhaNamikaze i was thinking of doing something like that

Joseph Osage if that happens, you just have to dodge attacks for 10 minutes. You have to do that until Fi recharges.
Hyper Leaks master sword beam.
Idk about divine beasts, but I KNOW FOR A FACT that in the DB Ganon fight, MS beams function just as well as the bow of light.
The multiple tiers of difficulty come from the following variations:
Hateno to Gerudo -- easy bro.
Akkala to Gerudo -- harder
Either with pro HUD -- jeez man
My personal favorite is the “Molduga Death clock”, where you have to kill the Molduga beforehand and then bring the flame back before a blood moon.
It’s TORCHure, trust me, but you feel like Frodo Baggins, carrying the lame macguffin across fantasy land, avoiding all conflict.
That sounds... frustrating but kinda fun lol
I like the detail here.
I have an excellent idea for a Breath of the Wild run:
I don't know what to call it, but essentially, it requires you to become the Link you were 100 years ago (the one from the flashbacks and cutscenes). To put simply:
- The only outift you can wear is the Champion's Shirt and the Hylian Trousers.
I really wanna try this
Ooh also you can only use the horse that link uses in the memories if you need a horse.
Can't believe botw is 32 years old today

I have an idea for a run! A no paraglider run! You're not allowed to use the paraglider, the only exception is when you need to absolutely use it ( Great Plateau) besides from that looks like you're finding another way down!
Soulcrusher364 there’s a way to go off the great plateu
Without the glider
One challenge need it so I know it pla
Plus my play time hours are almost 1000
Soulcrusher364 I have one. I'll call it: Rage Quit Challenge! So first you perform the no shikah slate glitch, in master mode. You must then complete dlc pack 1 and 2, unlock every tower, find every korok, complete every shrine, beat all four divine beasts, and then beat ganon. All without any stamina usage and no extra hearts, WHATSOEVER. And no armour. Oh, and restart upon death for an extra challenge.

Link "Don't worry, you are already dead."
I have a way I call it "Emo Style" It's where right when you get any clothes you dye them black and you can't change them back :3
Best combination is the hilyan head/pants + the tunic the old man gives you, it looks majestic, especially for the bow only run
Dye the “Of the Wild” set Black, you won’t regret it.
"We live to die!"
-The sign for Koichi's dye shop
I have one, I call it True Lynel:
-Finish the Plateu
-Every Weapon off the plateu that you collect must be from a lynel
-They can be collected from chests, but must be lynel themed
(So, you can only collect lynel themed bows, shields, and weapons.
-Arrows collected from lynel are good
-You can only eat meat, or dishes with meat in them
-You must get the lynel mask as soon as you can, and wear the barbarian armor
(Don't worry, for things like Vah Ruta or Naboris, you can change your outfits, but change it back when you're done.)
Good Luck, if you try it. :>

Here’s an idea for a game mode: “The Wild Magician.”
The rules are as follows:
You are Link the Magician, and thus must use magical (elemental) attacks whenever possible throughout the entire game.
You are allowed to use:
The elemental rods. Let’s be real here, they’re literally just magic wands.
Elemental weapons such as the Thunderspear and Frostblade. (You are also allowed to use the Windcleaver and Korok Leaf as “wind element” weapons.)
Weapons that are on fire, namely the Torch. These count as fire element attacks, obviously.
Elemental arrows.
Elemental Chuchu Jelly.
Normal attacks imbued with Urbosa’s Fury.
Normal arrows, but only if they are set on fire.
Bombs and Bomb Arrows (counts as fire element.)
If your horse is on fire, you can run over enemies with your horse.
Optional variations on this game mode:
You may elect to run over enemies with horses that are not on fire.
You may elect to use Magnesis as a fifth element (Earth or Gravity, take your pick.)
You may elect to throw rocks at enemies as an Earth element attack.
You may elect to use normal weapons if you have completely run out of magical attacks (this rule is only in effect until Bombs are obtained, as Bombs are infinite.)
You may consider the Bow of Light and Twilight Bows “Light Element” weapons if you have them.
Hol up, if light weapons are a thing... Is the master sword near malice technically a light sword?
Neolord 12 is say the master sword always counts cause of the beam it shoots
@@frostycarrot1803 genius, thank you
Wait, can you kill enemies by crushing them with a tree because that could be considered a nature element.
Wouldn't the master sword also classify as a light element
I wish Nintendo had achievements:(
Marco Rodriguez Agree

I don’t see the point. If a game wants to have achievements, they can just add them to the game like in Smash Ultimate. I don’t see the point of achievements that have no gameplay purpose.
If you wanna your "achievement" be creative and play the game with other ways. Then take photos/videos and show as your trophy. It have more value than an "achievement" or a "trophy" that nobody cares.

I actually played through without extending my stamina and, I must say, it REALLY changed the game entirely for the better. Everything has to be thought out, cooking stamina regenerating foods is a must, and you have to have better timing with everything stamina related. Really fun, highly recommend it.

I recently started my second playthrough with the intention of no teleportation. I have added super pro mode after watching this and I refuse to change armour or ear food during combat. Elixers are acceptable because one could feasibly quaff a potion quickly.
Came to this video to see if my current "challenge" playstyle was included.
The Timeless run: it actually combines a lot of the ones mentioned
-Only 3 hearts (to a max of 8) and a single stamina wheel.

Barbarian: when you see an enemy, you must kill it no matter what. This dont apply to lynel and minibosses but you can add the crazy barbarian rule.
Next level vegan: you can only eat rocks (yes you can do that)
intended master run: if you play master mode, you're not allowed to go to the hyrule castle until you do all other main quest (including DLC)
Oooh Shiny: on master mode, your're only allowed to take weapons from flying platform.
Ooh shiny sound pretty epic
*Oh baby I like it raw category appears*
Me: I'm where my people need me to be
I think the amiibo challenge may be a bit easy for me because... I have over 60 of them... I have a problem
I own all of them except the animal crossing Amiibo and the Amiibo cards🙈
one called: My soul burns brightly
only fire weapons and fire arrows
I really like the idea of a Nudist run. I may have to try that sometime along with a 3 heart run. As long as you use buffs, use the 11 inventory fairies trick and maybe even farm dragon horns for 30 minute buffs then it shouldn't be that hard at all. I always go thru half the game with only 3 hearts anyway as I always upgrade stamina fully before I even touch hearts, so this really should be fairly easy even with no armor equipped. Specially if you play in Standard Mode where the enemies stay weak and you don't die from OHKO hits as long as you have the full 3 hearts.
I. DIDN'T. KNOW. YOU. COULD.HANG.THE .PICTURE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!1
Whofan06 I didn't either!!!! 😱😱😱
MaSpoofs No, I didn't know it would create a cut scene to hang it. I went and did it!!! ❤️
MaSpoofs nah, i thought once the dlc was over it was over, and usually when i go to my house i dont go upstairs. I love still discovering things in this game long after i didnt think i had any more reasons to play 😃
wow you guys are dumb
Whofan06 wat
There is actually a fairy tonic made of just fairys
I used to watch john every day and this brings back soooo many memories
How about a barbarian play through? Get the barbarian set and only use "bone" weapons (only things from stal enemys and anything with the word "bone" in it is allowed.)
Impossible, can't beat Dark Beast Ganon without Master Sword or Light Bow.
UltimateCharge you can beat Ganon without the Bow Of Light And Master sword
Because Ancient Arrows exist
32nd anniversary of breath of the wild
I should really stop going into the comment section before watching the video. God dammit.
my personal custom mode:
>collect 1000 apples before beating any shrines other than the ones on the great plateu
>you cannot face *any* bosses/ minibosses (lyonel, hinox, talus, ect) untill you get 100 spirit orbs
>you cannot convert spirit orbs into heart containers untill you beat all four blights (you can still drink health potions)
>you cannot have food, you can only have potions. if you want to restore hearts eithout potions, you have to eat food that is not in meal form that privides 1 heart or less. (acorns, apples, ect)
>if you find a weapon or shield with a lower quality you have to trade that in with the one younare holding. you cannot upgrade them.
>You are only allowed ranged combat. this means you have to throw all your mele weapons at enemies, so i suggest you get elemental rods.
>you are allowed *ONE* divine beast power at a time. you cannot use any divine beas powers untill all divine beasts are defeated.
>you are allowed to change your divine beast power if you throw out all of your swords, bows, arrows, *OR* shields
>you cannot get any weapons from monsters
>you cannot get the master sword untill all shrines are completed
>once all shrines are completed, you can make *ONLY* dubious food. no more potions.
>you can only beat gannon when your meal inventory is 100% full of dubious food
>no inventory expantions
>if its raining, you have yo have at least one metal item on you unless you dont own any metal items
>you cannot have more tham one peice of armor from the same set. you have to mix armor sets.
>you cant wear better armor unless you upgrade them at least twice via fary fountain
>you cannot sell anything. you can only get rupees from chests, rocks, yiga clan, or quests.
>you cannot wear any buff-giving items (this includes the gerudo outfit. you are only allowed to wear it while in gerudo town.)
>you cant collect the chests from shrines
>no horses
>no climbing
>no elemental arrows, only standard arrows
>you cannot buy from beedle
>you can only buy *ONE* item once a night. not during the day.
>you cant kill skeletal creatures
>no ocean travel
>every time you die you have to throw away one mele weapon, all your arrows, one bow, and one shield
>you cannot have more than 10 defence at any given time unless you have 5000 apples, then there is no limit.
>also, if you have 10,000 apples, you can play normally *IF* you havnt died at all.
Im gonna try this mode. i call it "cancer mode". yall should try it out
You shouldn't call it "cancer mode" because its kinda offensive. Really nice challenge tho.
i played the entire game with “off the rack” one on my first play through without even seeing this video
Is it possible to combine all these ways into one playthrough?
Answer: Totally!
Although it still is not hard core enough bro
Also, another good way is that you are not allowed to glide using your paraglider!
If you can't glide you can't go out of the great platow
@@SuperFireBoi200 climb down
innocent popsicle, Can’t, don’t have enough stamina.
@@SuperFireBoi200 You are allowed it only then and any other time when it's essential to the game!
Sorry, should have added that as well!
Yay non-Pokémod content!
YAY!
Agreed
"Pokémod"
What is pekemod actually? I tried watching a video and they said Pokémon sun & moon
I havent been watching Austin John recently because I hate pokemon and am not interested in it. So happy hes doing more than just pokemon now.
I’m gonna try the stock life, wish me luck!
Wow Breath Of The Wild Is 32 Years Old Lol
no, the legend of zelda [zelda 1] is 32 years old
@@hassanelshayeb259 he knows
@@hassanelshayeb259 r/whooosh
5:46 you don’t need the Zora armour to climb waterfalls, you can use the cryonis ability to scale them
Don't use bomb arrows in the volcanic region..
No, no, no. Only use bomb arrows in the volcanic region 😂
"32nd anniversary of the legend of zelda breath of the wild" Uh, are you living in the future Austin? Lmao.
