This was a great video to watch! Love seeing how you guys consistently improve both the in-person and online worship experience. This past year we: - switched from an ancient Yamaha EMX312SC box mixer and PA system to a Mackie profx16v3 with Thump 212s for the PA. - upgraded from 2 sm58s to 2 AKG DMS100s and 4 sE v7s - installed a 65" TCL TV which replaced an ancient epson projector - moved the old PA system to our lobby and children's room to send a mix there - started properly streaming and created a stream mix (interesting to do with an analog mixer, we're sending a stereo submix to a focusrite and doing some light mixing in Tracktion Waveform, then sending that to OBS via reastream) And as for 2025, we plan to move the mixer to a more convenient location, as at the moment it's in the front of the church behind the PA. So we'll have to get a stagebox and create an AV booth. We also want to start training a proper tech team, because I'm pretty much running sound and live stream on my own, as well as playing violin for song service. We're looking to create a very similar techbooth to yours actually. We're a really small church with low budget, so we aren't able to upgrade to a digital mixer that meets our needs just yet, maybe in the future though.
That's awesome! Great ideas for 2025 as well. Take things one step at a time. There was a time when cash was tight at our church and we had to get crafty. What we have now it a result of years of upgrading little things when we can.
Good stuff! I might suggest that you figure out some kind of strain relief for the tracks iPad adaptor as it will sooner or later fail you just hanging like it is.
Hey, am Israel from Uganda, East Africa. This is really awesome, glory to God for this magnificent upgrade. Am a big fun of all your work and I pray that i too will get there one day. Been wondering whether you could still be in hand with any old equipment in your stores that I could use for my local church down here, it'd be a dream come true. Thanks
LOVE THE VIDEO! So great to God blessing your church's reach & impact! Let's see....for us,, these past 2-3 years we've: -Upgraded from a Yamaha LS9-32 to an Allen & Heath Avantis with the 64x64 Dante card -Went from only wedge mixes to in-ears for our praise team -now building out a separate stream mixing suite -upgrading our band's old Aviom 16ii boxes to 360 units Our tech team have been kids at (insert your fav. amusement park), and you've got skip the line passes! EXTRA GIDDY!!!
I know cymbals can create a wash sometimes with gating being tricky, I'm just the kind of guy that doesn't want other gates opening when im striking just the drum I want to use so that's why I go the trigger route and route the gate to listen to trigger rather than the mic so it only opens when I strike that specific drum, that gives you more control over your cymbals in a room.

Our church is trying to do a full upgrade. I just got here and they’ve been running the same equipment for a very long time. Would you consider selling your old gear you just upgraded from?

So, how many times did you say, "We just had ------------ piece of equipment laying around"? How many other churches could upgrade through repurposing? Electric hybrid drums for the next upgrade? 😉
Hi there im interested to know what kind of hi hat raiser bowl you used, so i see you can attach more arms for those other 2 cameras Amazing job you did 😍 If you can share that info or link ill appreciated it
When you showed the fill section of your stream. When Kade was preaching how did you do the background? I know it is propresenter, but how was it set up!?
I just created a specific “look” inside of PP for sermon slides going to the fill output. The look has a theme set that’s different than the lyric theme. I set a trigger on the background slide for the message that changes to that look. For the box, I just made a layer of a still of the background going to the LED wall, cropped it, and positioned it behind the words. I also added a trigger to our countdown video that enables the worship “look” in PP to make sure that it’s always enabled before the first song starts.
Do you have a link to the lobby speakers you installed? We're looking at doing something similar and would love a recommendation if you're happy with them.
The drum shield and WING were both given to us in exchange for a review. So Collaborate Worship is definitely a blessing to our church as well. Everything else was just a result of God's provision through generous givers, and us upgrading things slowly as it makes financial sense. :)
0:43 Hey! I've always said, if you want the whole experience, unless you're out of town or in the hospital, show up to church! 😃👍 Edit: Of course, there are those great moments we like to capture. It sucks when we miss them due to something simple.
@collabworship We actually have a new member who moved to Vegas because she saw our church online. It’s incredible what God can do through UA-cam! 😃👍 Keep streaming!
@@kevinmcd112 No kidding! That's awesome. We've had people drive from California for prayer because of our live streams. Incredible how God can use the internet.
All this effort churches go to purchasing, mic'ing than hiding their drums behind screens (or in some cases a windowed room), when you remove all the problems by using an electric drum. The new ones even look like an accoustic kit. Is there a reason you don't do go e-drums?
Great work fellas! Solid upgrades for sure.
Oh yes - very nice setup and It inspire me, too -> btw you did an amazing work, too.

This year: we ended up getting a Sony fs5 as our main cam! I love it it has made a difference
Cool ❤

How were you able to work with the delay for the lobby speakers and the video being in sync?
It's close enough to not be noticeable. I had to delay audio for the stream by 3 frames (around 100 ms) anyway.

What kind of mics are you using to mic the cymbals for your live stream?
The two condensers that came with the Lewitt drum mic kit, and then 1 audix condenser. Can’t remember exact model numbers off the top of my head.
Wow. That's alot of upgrades. That involved a ton of funds which a small church usually doesn't have. Wonder if it was from youtube? :)

1. E-Drums are expensive (for a decent set)
2. We still haven't found one that sounds as good as acoustic.
