Thank you so much this has been by far the best review I’ve seen yet. Amazing job and again thank you. I live in Montana and have been wanting to get an electric fat tire for exactly you said getting behind those gates
Wow, great review! Finally one that answered my questions. Particularly about how water resistant it is, and the details of speeds on different inclines. Thank you!
Jeff great video, on the rad rover. I bought the Rambo 750 g-3 - 1/18/20. I got the bike, fenders, both racks, plus the cart and flashlight goes on handlebars for $2332.00 out the door. just bought the rad rover fender kit to put on my Rambo bike. I live in Michigan and there no rad rover around here. i have knee problems so i know what you mean. have a great day plus hunting !!
I just got mine yesterday and I’m taking it on a hunt on Blackbeard Island next week. The area that I’ve hunted for the last 19 years is almost 5 miles from camp and I’m not getting any younger! Thanks for the review, it helped me out with my choice!
Have had my Rover for the past 2 seasons, killed 2 animals last year, 1 deer and 1 pig this year. The Rover is great, I put almost 1400 miles on the bike during the year, strengthening my legs. This allowed me to pedal out the animals this year even easier. I don't have roads, but mostly trails, however, it still did great!!! The only caution is going to thru mud, puddles. If you are pedaling in the mud, the rear wheel will spin out on you, learn to "coast" thru the puddles, it will do great.
Thanks for the great review. I have been studying Rad Bikes for several years and was hot on the City Bike. Got on their website today and they are offering a limited edition RadRover that has everything I want. I think I will pull the trigger.
I did it. Looking forward to sneaking up on some Missouri whitetails. If they don't jump out and get me first! RadRover 5 Forest Green special edition. Woo hoo.@@comprehensiveoutdoorsjeffh5246
I'm gonna buy the rad rover bike and when the warranty expires I'm gonna do the true 750w motor upgrade the controller amp and screen and the battery. u can hit 35-40 mph !!!!
That's a good idea. I didn't know the upgrade increased the speed that much. Main reason holding back from getting it is that for the price I want to be able to at least hit 30 mph.
I’ve been using the Radrover for the past year and using the racks from radbikes plus made a custom trailer which the rover pulls it with no problem 1380 miles
@@comprehensiveoutdoorsjeffh5246 Hey Jeff. I just purchased the Radrover 5 to use for hunting. Do you still feel this is a good bike to use for hunting purposes?
I am interested in hearing more about your trailer situation. I might get one of these bikes. I use a kid hauler trailer that has an axle hitch to haul my fishing gear. Nice video by the way.
Excellent review Jeff! I have a original Rad Rover (2018) that I love (as I have prosthetic knees) and am looking at the Rambo trailer. I will have to make an adapter as I have a Topeak Rack, but that should not be to difficult! Again, thank you for the Review!
Great video! Thx Question..... I have land in southern Ohio. From our cabin it's all up hill ....what I am questioning is will am ebike get me up these hills. I tried using my mt bike one year...it didn't work.. I have to up hill through a pasture...so taller grass that is knocked down from our truck tires.... So I'm concerned about being able to get up our hills before I purchase. Thx
Depending on how steep and how rough the ground is underneath you, yes. But you will have to pedal and you won’t go fast. But it should carry you up with moderate pedaling
Can you specifically describe how you connected your Rambo trailer to your Rad Rover? Did you use a Rambo rack or a Rad Rover rack? Brand of hitch? You mention you might try a different mount.....why? Thanks, great review!
Hi Jeff. I hunt in the Olympic mountains. And my friend just picked up his quad. I said why don't need a quad. Well after getting my first deer and I am wiped out. Okay. But I don't want to spend $10,000. So I'm looking into the e-bikes. Thanks for the review. Can you put on knobby tires? Or do you have to use the tires that come with a ebike? And, in your opinion is it quiet enough? Not that it matters I can't get a Rambo it's much money lol
Hi Randy! Yes, you can purchase any 4” fat bike tire you like. Although the ones that RadRover puts on the bike are pretty good already. It’s not whisper quiet but definitely quiet enough. I just get off the bike and go on foot once I’m close to where I want to be. I think you’d be happy with it. Good luck!
@@comprehensiveoutdoorsjeffh5246 Do you think it could carry a human? I'm 5 foot 2 IN HEELS and 114 lbs..Do you think my fat husband could tow me behind him? Any suggestions for a people carrier?
Hi there. Really appreciate your review. So, this bike is rated at a max load of 250 lbs. Between your weight, gear, trailer, and deer, your load wasn't over 250lbs?
Nice review! I'm also in WA and trying to figure out where it's legal to use these where i cannot take my motorcycle. On Weyco we cannot behind the gates. Even so I can see some good uses for it being a stealthy as it is.
hey jeff forgot to say if you are going to hall just your bike and not two , check out a motorcycle carrier a lot cheaper. harbor freight or e bay. just saying
@@comprehensiveoutdoorsjeffh5246 thank you , been looking at the rad rover for 2 years, just hesitant because of how rough the terrain can be where I hunt .
I disagree about your assumption about 800$ bikes being cheap I Also on a Jetson Hayes and a rad runner plus and by far the rad runner is harder to move around on maybe you like the dirt in the mud and all the other stuff but normally people don’t and the Jets and Hayes is the better street bike and plus your rat doesn’t do but 18 mph because you hadn’t figured out how to turn up the speed yet or are you having just not doing it

There is a hidden menu on that rad rover where you can up the speed without upgrades via bypassing the manufacturer setting.
You can add the Rambo rack to a rad rover, it will fit. Then the Rambo trailer works and so do there saddle bags.
Awesome! Thanks for the tip!!

I want your autograph on the wall of my garage. Too awesome.
Appreciate the non-bias review. Nicely done!

Trailer still working well. I might try a different rear mount; the one sold by the trailer company, Rambo. I think it will fit nicely.
I need one. I mostly hunt state forests with access roads. Being 60 yrs old I am fighting a few foot issues
This will do the trick! Try one out!

Not as far as I know.
where did you get that trailer? that is freaking awesome!
That’s the hunting trailer made by RAMBO. Check it out!

Hi there. Really appreciate your review. So, this bike is rated at a max load of 250 lbs. Between your weight, gear, trailer, and deer, your load wasn't over 250lbs?
Actually I’m pretty sure it was way over 250. I’m 220 and with my gear probably 245+ trailer with maybe 125 lb small deer. Did great!
My understanding the max weight is only what weight is on the bike not what it’s towing
Nice review! I'm also in WA and trying to figure out where it's legal to use these where i cannot take my motorcycle. On Weyco we cannot behind the gates. Even so I can see some good uses for it being a stealthy as it is.
It’s legal in all state land.
You can take it anywhere you can a regular bike I. Gonna get one for hunting and Hammock camping maybe both same time
What’s that TRAiler please
What about going through CRP fields? This is my main issue. Please test this.
Will do. As soon as I get a chance.
Hunting Ebike? I love it.
Glad you enjoyed the review.
Excellent review!
Great info! Thank you for posting this video. I'd love to hear more about how you hitched the Rambo trailer to your RadRover.
I'm here for the same thing
Thank you for the great review!
Rambo has bikes in the same price range as Rad Rover. They also have top end prices and in between.
Very "comprehensive" eval of the Rad Rover. Well done.
Thank you

How would it do on old logging roads that have some wash out and aren't well maintained if maintained at all?
It would do fine!

Where did you get the trailer?
Can you walk it with motor assist
Yes you can!!
4:59 that looks so freakin easy to tote them out on!
Awsome great job
I got the lectric bike it's 1000 dollars. Goes 30mph and is of rad quality or better. Also comes with back rack. Rad is def a good bike though.
30 mph and more then 750 watts is against the law in most states and on federal lands
Did you get the RAD luggage rack or the rambo luggage rack ?
I ended up with the Rambo and retro fitted it.
@@comprehensiveoutdoorsjeffh5246 Hey would it be possible to get a pic on how you retro fitted it ? I really love the set up.
GREAT VIDEO!
Thank you!
Nice review but I didn't see anything there that I couldn't do in my truck.
I hear ya, but where we live we can’t drive our trucks behind gates. All the hunting land is gated off and owned by timber companies.
And it’s seems that it would be real quiet 2 .👍
Thanks bud!
I feel like a bike can go places a truck can’t .. specially in a heavily wooded area.. you’re getting exercise.
Rambo cruiser 500w mid motor is only 1400$
Sorry a hunting/mountain electric bike display should be waterproof!

A tow behind kids trailer used 50 bucks rip cover off viola deer cart cheaper enjoy
Might just want to use a 1911 and not carry the rifle.
always flat ground lets see up a logging road about two miles then that would be worth it maybe
