Great you got everything done. You can relax a bit after the flight! Don't know if Russia is getting the European heat wave - have a great summer! 😃❤
You put your stuff in storage for three months, so are you gonna come back to America to get your stuff back from the storage?
@@taasmr4203 I’ll be back for at least one year to finish my masters :)
@DariStep Hopefully, I will see you in person in New York or in Chicago. If life gives me a chance, then I will invite you for lunch or dinner in New York or in Chicago.
Can you show your feet more?
Your honesty is one of the reasons we all keep coming back, Dari. I'm glad you got back safely, but hate that you went through the emotional roller coaster 🎢 that you did. Know you can always reach out for people that will gladly listen and support you in whatever ways we can. You're going to have a great summer and you'll get a great apartment when you get back to NYC. Good things happen to good people, so for you, amazing lies ahead. 😊
Thanks a lot for your support ☀️
As an old guy settled down for a long time, I smile at the 'life' issues you are going through. Most of us have been there, and yes, it SUCKS and is stressful at the time!!!! But the future is better. Thanks for sharing!!!! Keep 'em comin'!!!
More to come soon 😊
Dasha your radiance, resilience and positive attitude will ensure many many more happy days ahead. Moving is a nightmare for everyone and I’m sure most of your viewers (myself included) can share in your anxiety of this experience. It made me so happy to see you reunited with your beloved dog!! I hope you have a great and relaxing summer at home in Moscow. Peace and love from Canada!!!
🇨🇦❤️🇷🇺☮️🙏
Thanks a lot!!!!
@@DariStepyes dogs are the best...look at my baby..anyway...best of luck from Florida
Moving is the pits, stress no end. Fit it in a car in college 40 years later it’s 85 cu m. And growing. Hope all goes well in Europe. Chocolate solves a lot of problems. Great video, Dari. Thanks.
Dari, I have been following you for 2 years, i don't know if you remember my comment after what happened in Portugal. Dari, I am a retired US Army Special Forces veteran (Green Beret) 22 years. So lets talk about how to move on with your life so you can get back to doing what you love without being in fear, by taking charge of your environment. Start by taking trips closer to home where you feel more comfortable, for example SPB or Helsinki or Tallinn. Go with a friend or group and learn to have fun and relax again. OK now lets talk about practical tips for not only young ladies like yourself but anyone who travels. If you are by yourself dining out, ensure your drink is NEVER out of your sight. Best to order something closed (screw on lid ideal). If you go to the bathroom either finish the drink or take it with you. Never walk with headphones in! If you feel the hair on the back of your neck rising or something does not feel right, don't ignore it, thousands of years of natural selection has been infused in our senses which we to often ignore because we are in a "modern" society. Walking down a city street and somebody is following you, duck in a shop, if the shops are closed, stand in the middle of the street and stop a car! Put your cell phone to your ear even if you are not talking to someone. Do NOT confront! OK how to feel safe in your apartment. When you first arrive check for all exits also check all rooms and closets, look for hidden cameras, wondering about that bedside clock, put a towel over it or unplug it. Here are several things to have when you travel. For the door you can buy a "door handle alarm" (handle moves alarm goes off) all these things work for apartments, cruise lines, trains etc., "door sensor alarm" (this is peel and stick, alarm sticks to door, sensor to frame, open door and alarm goes off) "door stopper floor wedge security alarm" (this is my personal favorite, you wedge it under the bottom of the door and not only does it prevent the door from opening but also is an alarm). This does not work if your door opens out into the hallway! If you have this type of door, tie "parachute cord" yes you can buy it....tie it around handle and to a piece of furniture or similar. Carry at all times and at night next to your bed have a "tactical flashlight" this is a small very powerful light, useful when the electricity goes out, (think elevator) and also in the dark can temporarily blind an intruder. Buy a "smoke and carbon monoxide battery powered smoke detector" will prevent death from gas leak and most people who die in fires, die from smoke inhalation. All of these things I put in quotes you can find on a search engine or Amazon. The last thing I will say to you Dari is you now have more than likely experienced the one time in your life that something like this will happen, don't let this stop you from realizing your dreams, material things can be replaced, and now you have some of the knowledge to stay safe. De Oppresso Liber .......my girlfriend of 8 years Svetlana from SPB, is going to Kasistan at the end of Jul to attempt to get a US tourist visa. She has been here 3 times and I to SPB twice. I live in SW FL but would like to take her to visit NYC. You do a great job of searching places out. For instance I'm going to use your idea of the ballet, because she loves it and we went in SPB. Leaving out the obvious (statue of liberty etc) could you perhaps make a list of restaurants and places of interest that you liked in NYC. I'm sure others would like it to. Best regards, Dan and Svetlana
That sandwich would be two meals for me as well Dari. It's huge! 🥪
🩰 Your pasta meal looks really interesting,I will try it 😊 Good luck Darli.
Hope you like it!
Thanks for sharing your last days in NYC before break. Moving is always very stressful and I always cry. Hope you have a great trip back to family and Lucky.
Thank you so much!
Hi Dasha, you have my thumbs up and here is my comment: You win the record for packing the most emotion into one vlog! Finishing things and moving out is super bittersweet and heart-rending and I can truly relate as I can still remember my last days in University. After four years, saying bye to your friends with whom you shared a special bond of common experiences was so enotional. You do such an amazing job communicating this. I'm so sorry you have to go through so much stress on so many levels and thank goodness for great friends by your side! Sorry your Amazon package for your friend was stolen, sorry you almost misplaced your passport with little time left before departure - that must have put you under so much duress. And I know it is extremely difficult to find housing in the heart of NYC! You have done an incredible job thus far and I hope and pray for your best in all things from here on out.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts 💭
Thanks for sharing the last days in New York, I can imagine it is a very emotional and stressful experience. Enjoy the time at home with family and friends and later have a wonderful summer in Europe!
Thanks Jeroen 🙏🏼
Thanks for sharing your adventures. Safe travels and hope you find a place for your own.
Thank you 🙏🏼
You just reminded me of the time when I had such good roommates and such a great apartment and the nicest people and we all had to move out. We didn't really but the oldest ones they wanted to live like grown ups for a change and stop living like students. I had three roommates the second year the first year I had four roommates. We had one bathroom. It was a long walk to get to the bus but it was a nice neighborhood which I probably never actually saw. And I learned that the streets and the sidewalks are sort of tilty. When the rain falls and it turns to ice on the sidewalk you just slide sideways and you try to hold on to the bushes so that you won't fall down. It's nice you have storage. My brother has storage. In addition to everything else that's in the house and in the front yard and on the back porch and in the living room and in the garage and in his bedroom. He also has storage. I think he has furniture. In his room he has a desk and a chair and a bed and there's a shelf but some of that stuff is mine or Dennis's and a filing cabinet which is also mine. Dennis got a lot of stuff in his room. We just pretend that it's New York and we build up. Shelves tall bookcases. Up. You reminded me of something else but I already forgot. Oh well. Dog food I'm sure it had something to do with the dog food. Oh I remember! Your dog is still alive! That's so good. One of my ducks died last October. She was nine. It's okay. The next day after we buried her, I heard little peeping noises and there were ducklings. I didn't expect ducklings. All of our eggs did not hatch. We threw away so many nests and then one duck in the corner had babies. So tiny and so cute. And at such an inconvenient time. But my brother helped a little. And Dennis was on vacation. But he got home the day after.
Thank you for sharing :)
Wow , such an emotional video. Glad you are back with Lucky. Enjoy what you can while being ' home' .
Doing my best for that 😌
Ohhh dari I felt every emotion with this vlog, I has tears because of your tears but I've followed you for a long time now , and I've got to see what an absolutely amazing person you are ....so strong but more than that you are a great women and an example to all of us ...enjoy your time back at home ...God bless you always ...le over in the uk 🇬🇧 😊

Have a lovely summer, Dari.
Thank you! You too!
I love classical ballet too vs interpretative dance. Russian ballet is excellent and one of the best!
Gorgeous noggis!
So glad Dari that you were able to travel back home and see your dog, family and friends. That's always a mood pick me up. Hope you have a great summer. Looking forward to future videos. Stay safe and well and above all stay positive.
Thanks a lot 😌
I loved your outfit in the video! It really shows your open-mindedness, which is such a great quality for you.
Chicago has everything New York has but As a rule it will be half as large
I see you have the same video light I do.
If you are in Chicago again we have a war memorial, A WW2 plane ( The same type used by butch O Hare ) The plane has been moved though. Not quite sure where it is now, And We have a catholic chapel in the airport. I think this all is in terminal 2
I enjoyed this video be well...
Glad to hear it :)
So excited to get an update from you! Moving in general is proven to be one of the most stressful, traumatic, situations one experiences in their lives. However, things will improve and you will find another nice apartment, I'm sure of lt. Just remember how doubtful you were before you found the first one and you finally found one after all.
Truuue! Thanks 😊
please 🙏 keep yourself SAFE always and come back SOON!
Enjoy your video! Have a safe trip home! Let me just say you might be the first person on this planet who actually bought a huge bag of doggie food and fly it all the way from NY to Moscow! this might be a world record of some kind!!
Ahahahhaha probably
At least you got to stay a few months in NYC, which is longer than most of the world who would kill for that opportunity. Plus you made many friends. Good luck with your new job.
Ahahah I will be back :)
Dari, enjoy your visit back home! I'm sure it will be great to see your Mom and family after being away for some time. Relax and enjoy your break! You will be back before you know it! I'm looking forward to all of your future video's. I love them all! You do amazing content!❤❤❤😊
Thanks so much ☺️
@@DariStep ❤️❤️❤️❣️☺️
Customs is going to have some questions about that bag of dog food. They may have to test a few nuggets! 😂
Fortunately there were no questions 😂😂
I can relate to your stress, as someone who used to move around a lot. If you're not in a clear state of mind, sometimes other bad things start to happen because we're not focused. Sometimes it's best to just relax, and take things one step at time. You will see, things will get better, because in life, they usually always do. Good luck on your travels!
True 👌🏼 thank you
I just moved myself back in April after living for 20 years in another location, so I feel for you. Moving is a colossal pain in the butt. Rest and recuperate this summer. We all look forward to your future adventures. 😘
Thank you 😊
Thank you for sharing your life Dari. This was another well put together, honestly emotional video. Best wishes going forward, ❤
Thank you 😊
Hi Dasha. Greetings from Dallas, Texas. I myself in the in the process of moving to Moscow. Note: I lived there 2008 to 2014.
Good luck 🍀
You got it done theirs a lot to take in I read one time that moving is one of the most stressful things they said on par with getting divorce even probably little harder when new York is so nice this time of year but Moscow allso looks like amazing weather and you get to baby boy so hoping all is better and look forward to seeing you from Russia and Portugal
You and my 7 year old daughter have the same tastes! Gelato, pizza, and “The Greatest Showman”!!! I’m serious. That’s her favorite. I’m so sorry you had such a challenging exit from NYC. Change is so very hard, but without change there is no growth and new adventures. As always, if you are ever back in DC area, know you have a friend if need be. Bon Voyage!!!
Thank you ☺️
Dari, I know you’re sad to be leaving your apartment and the US for a while. But you’ll have a great time this summer and will be back in the fall for more adventures. And we’ll be here waiting and happy you’re back. Sure you’ll find a good new apartment in the fall. Bon voyage, and until then 👍🏻 PS Feast of Corpus Christi June 16&19 & Nativity of Saint John the Baptist June 24.
That's the plan!
Enjoyed the video.and Have a safe trip to Europe. I hope you are able to return. I only say due to bad relationships of our countries.
I hope so too!
I hate apartment hunting by myself. I’ve always had kind people find me the place to live that wouldn’t have occurred to me. Dari, next time, use people you meet as a resource to find the best place for you…. don’t try to to do it all by yourself! Best wishes on your journey home to Russia! 😊
I liked the pasta!
Yeah I know how that feels. All of this video. Nije dobro 💔💔💔. Anyway, wish you all the best.
Thank youuu
Its such a relief when you find important documents that you've misplaced. When it happened to me I felt like going out and celebrating!
Jeez, I could feel your passport stress. Good Luck. Greetings from the Netherlands.
Thank you!!!
Hi Dari, pleased you found your passport and arrived safly after the up and downs you had on you last few days in the USA ,hope your well,hi to your family, take care
Thank you!!!
I'm actually at Niagara Falls right now as I write this message. I was inspired to go by your visit earlier this year, so thanks! Best wishes to your family and Lucky
So cool!
Living and learning 👍
Arr Dari I just wanted to come and give you a big hug and cuddle and make all your problems and worries, so hope to see yoou very soon .
Thanks for your support ☀️
Dari, My eyes were watering after seeing what you cooked. I look forward to the future streams. Please take care of yourself and be safe!
Being Grateful for your travels and the the cool things and people you met will help you with your anxiety. Have fun Dari
Thank you!
I hope you have a wonderful summer with your family and Lucky. Look forward to your return back to NY.
Thank youuuu
I enjoyed this video. Wherever you are, enjoy the summer.😊❤
Thank you! You too!
my greatest fear is misplacing my passport - I was freaking with you -
Thanks!
It was so nice to see you reunited with your baby boy. And you thought you might not ever see him again. Stay safe and best wishes.
Thank you so much!
You are amazing! Bon voyage and have a beautiful summer!
Thank you so much!!
I'm enjoying your journey. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching!
Thankyou for posting a link to @CrazyRussianSergey's video in your community page about the day you spent showing him around Moscow. I now feel that I know what you did after you shot this video.
Moving is rough. I’ve made a number of moves across the United States and the work and logistics involved can feel overwhelming. You can’t help but get emotional over it. Glad you made it home, safe and sound. Enjoy your time among family and friends, and enjoy your summer in Europe. Don’t get too anxious about having to find a new apartment in NYC in August. Just take it as it comes and enjoy your current adventures.
Thank youuu
Enjoyable video, Dari. Sad to see you leave for a while , but we definitely want you to return! I have learned so much about New York City by watching your videos. So happy you found your passport! So mad that someone stole your Amazon package. You certainly did go through an emotional roller coaster, but you're now home with family and friends and Lucky. You titled your video, "Goodbye New York." Did you know that there was a Hollywood film titled "Goodbye New York?" Released in 1985, it's a charming movie about a smart, adventurous, independent woman. Sound familiar? I think you'll enjoy it if you haven't seen it already.
Thank you a lot ☀️
Ya, I truly hate moving. It's just the worst. It probably won't be as it was the first time. Maybe some subscribers could help line you up with apts to look at before you get back.
Damn you have the best videos , that was amazing . All I can say is that somehow, don't know how but things always work out for you. Same thing happens to me . We have the same luck. Sorry about the stolen gift . I hate people that steal. I always have Amazon deliver to a drop box now and it's worked out. I also do the free delivery and 9 times out of 10 it shows up early. Have fun in Russia . I think it's around that time when we should all buy you some coffee.
Thank you ☺️ it means a lot!
Good luck. You work so hard all the time. I, we, know you will succeed. Have a great time with family, friends and of course with your dog.
Thank you so much!
Oh, I was crying with you when you thought you'd put your passport in storage. I'm glad it turned out okay.
So nice to be thinking of a gift for your dog, to be filling an entire suitcase with it! 🙂
Moving is one of the most stressful things. 😖
Glad you got to see your dog again! 🐶 Also glad you’re missing the horrific hot weather in NYC (1 week of 95 degree weather 🥵)
Ahahah happy to be out of the city at this weather lol
Thanks for sharing!
So much food for Lucky. He'll have enough for a year. 😂
Good luck Dari.
Ahahah it’s just for a month and a half 🥲
Thanks and I hope you back to the USA in the next year or two. Be Safe.
Will be there in two months 😃
So glad you found your passport
Was Lucky happy to have you back home?
Ohhh so happy 😁
Moving and packing home is just horrible. Not knowing where you are going to live is also very stressful. I´ve just been through all this too so can totally sympthasize. But you will figure out bit by bit.
Thank you!!!
@@DariStep Sorry if I missed it, but what will you be doing from August? Will you be coming back to NY and continuing to study?
Aw dari this is so bittersweet!! I empathise with how mixed the feelings would be. It seemed like such an amazing experience! Sending love

I’ll be back 😎
Truly have a safe journey I for one cannot wait for you to come back sending my love..🌹❤️🌹🖖
You are very strong and very beautiful. Respect.
Dari, moving places is always stressful, especially when you’ve been in one place for a while. It’s always fascinating how much one can accumulate “junk” in a short period of time. Sending you good vibes for your next abode hunt! 🍀
Thank you 🙏🏼
Yes I loved this blog. As usual you show us all your emotions at a hard time for you. Must be tough moving all over again after a long settled time. Anyway you made it to see your doggy so well done. Loved your yellow dress, you looked great wearing it. Always impressed with your cooking too but you will miss your new friends for a while. Hope your work in Portugal goes really well so you can enjoy life there a lot.
Thank you so much!
Very beautiful and emotional vlog.
Thank you!

Lucky is lively and healthy looking, great ! 😸

did the rent include utilities (gas, electricity)? Excellent editing, btw.
No :(
I was wondering if you'd be coming back to the US to finish your studies. You've barely dipped your toe in the ocean that is the US. You couldn't see it all in a lifetime.
Last night I made this recipe exactly as it's shown except I didn't have a kitchen torch.

I had a one pound piece of salmon which I didn't cut up. I always like lots of sauce. It was so delicious I ate the whole thing, it was the only think I ate all day. It was slightly spicy probably due to some chilli in the BK seasoning. I'm no fan of chardonnay (I'm in the ABC club, Anything But Chardonnay) but with salmon it's a match made in heaven.
So, have a nice summer and I'm looking forward to following your adventures.
Das Vadalia.... Vidalia is a mild sweet yellow onion grown in Georgia in the USA 🐕🙂
Thanks!
Do you think you would move to the States and live there permanently or would you miss your home in Russia too much?
I’m not sure I’ll end up settling down in any of these countries 😊
I wish you had a fundraiser because your followers could probably have helped pay for the rent through the summer. I think you once said you wanted to move to another part of town though. You’ll find something nice when you return. Have a wonderful time in Russia and Portugal) with your summer course. Love you! ❤
Thanks a lot Elyse! I really appreciate it 🙏🏼
Making one's own wine can be dangerous if consumed in excess. There may be methanol produced by the fermentation process. If the [fermented] mash is distilled to make spirit, the first condensate should be discarded as a poisonous mixture due to its methanol content. Methanol consumption can damage nerves, thereby making one blind, or even dead. After ingestion of the methanol, the metabolites/byproduct consisting of formaldehyde and formic acid are damaging to one's optical nerves.
Car owners do use methanol mixture for car windshield defrosting, deicing, and cleaning.
Hi Dari
Glad you enjoyed the ballet, unlike the LAST "ballet" you saw. I'm glad you enjoyed your last days in the US, and glad you found a storage space. That was such a relief you found your passport documents.
Hope your Eurotrip is just as wonderful as you had here. Don't worry too much about an apartment. I'm sure it'll work out for you. Have a great time visiting home, and hope your visa process is quick and timely.
Great video, Dari

Did you all lose your deposit since you moved out before lease end?
No, it was returned :)
@@DariStep the landlord was not mad that you left before the year lease was up? Usually landlords keep the deposit if that happens.
Too many moves in my life and the first few were stressful. Then I learned to buy a U-Haul truck and car carrier and even pay people to pack and unpack my stuff or to get a few friends to help pack. First to Warren, OH area of Ohio then to Canton area of Ohio then to Cleveland then to Milwaukee, WI then New Castle, PA and then back to Cleveland then to Ft Wayne, IN and then finally to the Marysville area of Ohio to get married. I have been here the longest of anywhere in my life because my wife won't leave her daughter. We did move to Oklahoma for about 3 years but then right back to our house in Ohio that we never sold. ( we rented it to our daughter. At the same time she needed to move out we just happened to need to move in) After so many moves you become numb to moving and leaving friends and acquantances. Not exactly the way to become in your emotions as it is worse in some ways than becoming emotional about a move. It does make you a resilant person who can make new friends easily and adapt to new places. Seemingly, moving from place to place has become part of modern life as life has become unstable. I am not the only person to move so many times in a life time , especially if a person is in a technical profession. Life is a journey, not a destination. What counts is how well you travel the journey, what kind of person you become & how you treat others. Always remember that on your death bed you are not going to bemoan the fact that you did not spend enough time at work to get a few extra dollars or the fact that you kept in contact with all the people you met along your journey. If anything you will regret not keeping in contact with the people you met along the way.
Thanks for sharing ☺️
I enjoyed your video Dari l know that moving out and packing into storage can be quite stressing l found that with my late mother’s stuff when she moved out to a retirement home too many stuff you want to keep or gave away to a charity shop , l don’t think l could it if l move away.Last bit in the video the sandwich in the cafe that ham l think it’s Mortadella my favourite Italian ham . Looking forward to your next video how old is your dog now?
He is 15,5 years old 😌🐶
Come back soon! We will miss you!
Hey Dari,
First of all I'd like to say thanks for vlogging your experiences, it's captivated me to watch your journey from the lowest of lows to the highest of highs. I've seen your personality develop from the adventures and it's be such a ride! I know this is only a pit-stop for you on over there, but can't wait to see the Euro-lifestyle summer vids, and then can't wait for you to come back home, where you feel most at home!
Thank you so much!! ☺️
It is always better to sellout heavy items and carry cash, instead hiring a storage. 80% of people will never comeback and claim 😂
We will miss you sweet Dari
As a life long Nyoker upper east side Manhattan...and older about to retire...New York city is gone. I lived the great greed is good era of the 80's but I believe it all died in the mid 2000's. The 1970's were rough to but I was young and didn't have anything to compare it to. I'm going to move to Italy in a few years......America itself isn't recognizable to me anymore....its getting to be one giant strip club. There is the facade of if ..but its just everyone is trying to get at your money.
Good luck with your move 🍀
Your Mum must be very proud of you Dari ❤
Well, you tried the nice, expensive life in NYC.
You see why you need your job after you get your masters degree.
You should have come to our smaller cities.
The school is just as good, everything would have been cheaper.
Ahahah I can’t see myself living in any small cities 😅 NY is the vibe :)
@DariStep come back after you have your MA. You will have money and be able to live the life you want. The closest we have here is Denver. I like Denver. Our mountains are our main thing people come for.
Really, 10 months is all you need for NYC. I personally was ready to leave after the first week.
Well I believe we all are different! I lived NYC
My wife needs to go to Moscow, yet since July 1st, we can not exchange the US dollar for the Russian Ruble because of the Russian counter-sanction against the confiscation of Russian assets in the EU. A credit card issued in Japan doesn't work because of the sanction, thus she needs to bring Chinese Yuan.
