I went to the Netherlands in December 2017 for work from Bangalore. I was only there for a week. On the day I was supposed to leave, there was this unexpected heavy snowfall that stopped all the public transport. The whole city went into panic mode, with everyone trying to get home as quickly as possible in their own cars. As an outsider relying entirely on public transport and without a cell phone, I had to walk from HTC to the city center through four feet of snow, completely soaked, and no one offered me a ride. In Bangalore, even if there’s a curfew, some random stranger will help you get home safely. Edit: I'm not trying to show the Netherlands in a bad light-people there are generally helpful. But when things go wrong, they panic quickly, and it becomes every man for himself. Before leaving, I went to a local bar, and the bartender asked how my experience in the Netherlands had been so far. I told him this story, and he apologized that I had to go through that and offered me a free beer.

Cleanliness is a virtue. The rag pickers can - if they really want, pick from designated spots from where the garbage is being recycled or dumped etc instead of people thriwing the garbage on the streets.
Max, I have an awkward question, if Indians or people from other parts of the world (developing nations) live in the more developed western nations they are called “Immigrants” while we use the word “Expats” for the converse? Should we not ideally use the same word as they are more or less mean the same. Having said that I love your videos as they are insightful and natural. It is important to remove the facade and bring to the fore the happiness, sadness, anger, frustrations, excitement and every emotion possible. India is a multi-cultural country with a multitude of languages, religious beliefs, casts orientations, regional disparities, economic disparities. Despite all this, the Country still tries its best to move forward with all this baggage and slowly, surely, inevitably and eventually we will carve a niche out for ourselves.
Immigrants is a term for people who want to move permanently. Expat is a term for people moving temporarily with a job with no intention to stay unto death. Also immigration is a term used for large numbers and expats for small numbers.
Feral stray dogs have been an issue since Animal activists (via an Activist minister) forced a ban on culling of feral dogs. Deaths due to Rabies and Maulings are too many for comfort.
Ruskin bond is not a foreigner tbh I don’t think he can say anything about difference of cultures as he was born and raised here. He’s just our Indian grandpa 😊
Please do not see it with aslam's eye. You are right when you wanted to raise your concern over the garbage issue. Throwing garbage on the road or through the window is not okay. Not at all. Most people like him do that and try to justify. My friend even does that but after much nagging had stopped throwing plastic on road side. There are proper dustbins provided for that purpose. And underprivileged people can collect plastics from the garbage mountain where all the garbage from the city is thrown. It's better that way than making the city look unclean. Thank you.
nah their aren't many dustbins provided in the markets or streets tbh. especially near street food vendors youll barely see multiple bins& cos of that the only bin is already full of garbage
He lost me when he spoke so much about Aslam. Seems these Europeans are still not learning, Aslam’s have ruined their countries and they still think these guys will change one day. Since he is India, he should learn that Aslam’s created Pakistan and Bangladesh. Overall the video was good, love Dutch people and presently enjoying learning Dutch. So many European languages on the way to learn.
bro, Aslam is his apprentice. He's a person close to the guy. Much of his experience is through Aslam, so of course he'll talk about him. Besides, I really doubt Aslam was involved in those conflicts. He's probably too young to have been alive then. Judge people as individuals, you'll find good and bad in every group. Aslam is probably a nice guy
Basically stray dogs are for social security from thieves all other animals which are not inhabiting in that area. Therefore there is meaning of social security to barking of these animals. You can necessarily think that there are some foreign animals or thief which has entered into the area for sure. And keep yourself alert.
Not true at all, stray dogs are a threat, there are many incidents and still no actions. Children are the main victims there. It’s a shame that India can’t deal with this problem efficiently. Don’t just justify everything, criticise where criticism needed
Not true, stray dogs are predators and scavengers. Local governments (panchayat, municipality, etc.) used to cull them till rich vegan morons like Menaka Gandhi interfered. Now the stray dog population is out of control, and they're a rabies hazard to pedestrians and delivery persons.

There's never a dull moment, alway something going on
It is indeed organized chaos and it works. But it also should change.
Organized, predictable and consistent systems across are very important to lead a better quality of life.
@@asmirann3636boring 🥱
Chaos is the only truth
@@TheAlchemist1089let's remove half the wealth from west or introduce a fraction of India's poverty. Do you think west will be stable?

That impressive point about ironing the shirt 😊 Thanks...
I really loved this dutch guy and the video
Garbage is not about whether thats income for the people, it is a consequence that the poors collect it. Its our sick mentality that even my own parents used to allow and tell me to throw bag of chips or cans out of the train window or on the street.
In time bro.
Agree and not to mention the spread of illnesses because of this.
Stay young, enjoy your life. 🙏
God bless.
Lovely conversation. Amazing one
"Indians are leaving India and settling down in abroad, And foreigners are coming to India to settle down and live a healthier life". 😂...... Fair trade!! Guess who wins?
Nalanda Coming back, Foreigners settling in India, Rumours of HIM coming back, India diplomatically booming... Something big is gonna happen
i know people who are running away from West
1 foreigner in entire area of this Bangalore and you call it foreigners coming to India?
Not true as I am moving back to Mumbai/Pune soon from London 🙏
The amount of people leaving india is just a drop from ocean
I really miss India. I live in the Washington state. Compared to India it's to quiet and I feel so isolated .
Loved that he choose to live rather than being comfortable and done with the life
Which part of Bangalore is this? I am moving to Bangalore from London with my family soon! Planning to move to northern part of the city.
I am based in London too and planning to jump over to Bangalore. I have a 5 year old boy and wife. Just a little apprehensive of jumping into the unknown.
It's Jakkur
You can't find this cheap rent price in bangalore. This is outskirts of city .not even main bangalore .it will cost around 15k rupees in bangalore amin city for this same house
@@PramodUA-cam-m4m why do you want to move?
Nothing is for certain but sometimes you have to give it a go. I have been planing to move to India for many years and I don’t want to look back and think I wish I had done it. So I am going to give it a go. India has its challenges but offers so much too. Good luck whatever you decide.
@@Divine_wave23can I live well in Bangalore on 60k rupees per month as a single man from Canada 🇨🇦 ? Rent , food , internet and some local transportation ?
I lived in Taipei in a similar fashion when my wife worked there. I found the locals generally hospitable and amicable. I frequented this cafe/burger place and they were adorable people. I started learning Chinese (Mandarin) there as well. I am still continuing to this day on Duolingo.
What a gentleman Paul is that is the reason he is attracting positive people in his life. No wonder if he would have been my friend I will be protecting him along with my friends and family!

I love this man. Thanks for such a nice video
"We" thats really touching
Feral stray dogs have been an issue since Animal activists (via an Activist minister) forced a ban on culling of feral dogs.
Deaths due to Rabies and Maulings are too many for comfort.
Name of the minister is Menaka Gandhi.
please visit mussorie india and interview ruskin bond, the celebrated writer
Ruskin bond is not a foreigner tbh I don’t think he can say anything about difference of cultures as he was born and raised here. He’s just our Indian grandpa 😊
I loved his Panda Printed Coat and Shoes.
And keep yourself alert.
absolutely
Not true at all, stray dogs are a threat, there are many incidents and still no actions. Children are the main victims there. It’s a shame that India can’t deal with this problem efficiently. Don’t just justify everything, criticise where criticism needed
Not true, stray dogs are predators and scavengers. Local governments (panchayat, municipality, etc.) used to cull them till rich vegan morons like Menaka Gandhi interfered. Now the stray dog population is out of control, and they're a rabies hazard to pedestrians and delivery persons.
Max thanks 🙏 wonderful job max ❤
He is super positive person 🫡
One most know is the philosophy of Indians, majorly by Hindu's "Atithi Devo Bhawa" ~ "Guest are gods" , that's the reason for a warm hearted welcome at Indians houses or hotels, In short hospitality at its best
Once you may visit Beluru and Haleebeedu, Hasana, in Karnataka
After travelling a few countries in western Europe I would say hands down the nicest people are the Dutch. Netherlands is absolutely vibrant and happening! It has so much art and culture. I always feel welcomed and drawn to the netherlands.

Interesting info about India. A country where Religion and politics are celebrated . Hopefully they live amicably. Yes, India can do a bit more on cleanliness and safety.

street dogs are part of society/community . you are right , we need to do something about it , we need to do something to take better care of them

The rent is low because it's far away from city center
They trat you like Family,This called GarmJoshi se milna in Hindi means meeting people with Warmhandingly and enthusiastically, this is the nature of whole Indian Subcontinent
And people who migrate from india, whenever they return India for Holidays they complain that the people in west not meet with this type of warmth and enthusiasm
strays are a big nuisance all over India. Not a matter of a couple
but hundreds. their cost in terms of lack of sleep, bites and general hygiene is high. But stupidity and false humanity reigns like in the comment section. Not only had govt policy failed but also legions of unmarried people finding saving their souls in feeding strays thus exponentially multiplying their numbers
Grass is always greener on the other side.
Living in Nederland too expensive with small salary . You may feel superior that you have European passport but you have to struggle with all the fees and penalties. It’s nice in summer time in Nederlands and clean air . Health system and services are very slow than India .I feel the big difference for a white man live in India is special and Indian giving you more importance same time an Indian live in Europe they don’t care who you are because they have already lot of people from Africa and Asia and also Muslim countries.
20:50 Swacch Bharat was a thing you know. I believe it's dead nowadays as Indians are back to their old habits 🤣
Although I must say that this attitude has changed to an extent in Delhi. People keep their garbage in cars until they find some garbage can/dump.
But, that's the case mostly with educated lot. But not with poor and ignorant. Like Aslam over here.
Definition of oppressor in the Qur'an:
'wa al kafiroon humu al zalimoon' - Kafir is the Oppressor (by denying belief) 2.254
'Asshirk lazulmu aazeem' - Idolatry is great oppression/injustice 31.13
next level: Jihad is obligatory to fight oppression
Fundamentals in a nutshell.

Indians are obsessed with white skin
Ask the nigerians how they are treated in India. They are all treated equally regardless of skin colour by most Indians
Every year approximately 2 million foreigners visit India as medical tourist.
That's because mass immigration in Western countries has led to their government health services being overburdened.
Yes, the stray dogs are a worrisome aspect in many localities in Bangalore
Blame Menaka Gandhi
Seriously Bangalore much more cheaper than Mumbai
Hey bro! THANK YOU...U R ONE OF THE FEW WHO report India the way it is...not like others who only focus on the poor side to push a narrative... we have a bad side...but we also have a good side that the world has no clue about...(or they have a clue but just push the anti india stance for personal interests)❤ GOD BLESS U BUDDY
Age is just a number as they say, this guy is living young
It's not like anyone is trying to get along with anyone. That's why partition happened. That's why police stations got burnt down over a cartoon right there in Bangalore just a few years back. Or had 'Sar Tan Se Juda' rallies for calling their religion intolerant. The irony! Is that a sign of trying to get along? Why would anyone try to get along with such a community, unless out of fear? Serious introspection is needed when making such statements like 'trying to get along'.
7.5k would be the cheapest in terms on standard

Would love to live in India but the pollution always gets me. Granted I haven’t been to Bangalore so I don’t know how the pollution is there but Mumbai and Delhi are pretty polluted.
I have a question ⁉️ Why Indians treat foreigners as family but not our native people??
Because locally many people beg like pandit people, hence Indian people are abashed of them.

your friend Aslam is wrong to throw garbage like that.
He is wearing a kungfu Panda jacket. Legend.
At 11.23 poor Indians also ready to serve whatever they have with great love. It's because the Hindus believe 'Atithi devo bhavo' which means treat a guest as if he is God.' Atithi=Guest. Devo=Godlike Bhavo = show feelings as if.
