But people like him don’t want to show it. I was never physically abused like her but my dad acts the same. He knows he’s made mistakes but I’ve never heard him apologize and he’s never showed a feeling of sadness. I mean he also genuinely thinks he’s right for how he acts so

They can’t go back to their old ways, that’s when I’d give them a second chance because I know it’s possible for them to do that. Same, I cried as well and tbh, it’s normal for you to automatically think “I should forgive this person” because that’s something called sympathy, something that some people (like her father) do not have. But one must analyze those thoughts more deeply and take into consideration the abusee’s situation, like imagine being in their shoes, being tortured for years on end and you meet him and he shows no remorse? It’s easy to feel bad for him as you only know him from this clip. And that’s why you should not feel bad, even if it hurts you

She will never heal if she waits for apologies and explanation, he will probably never give that to her and she is left with more pain after this meeting. Healing is the best revenge because you didn't let that person break you and poison your mind, This is what an abuser wants, to broke you and make you miserable.

The father is the literal definition of narcissistic evil. The fact that he’s acting like he did nothing wrong and that his wife and daughters are ungrateful and delusional. Basically he all like “sorry I didn’t had the knowledge needed to be a good person so I decided the best way to raise you is by abusing you” disgusting! I hope Young Bae is okay and will never have to deal with something this traumatizing ever again.

No one should be put through that abuse and made to relive it by being in contact with the abuser, just like a parent should never lose a child, though it all still happens, and it’s heartbreaking. This is why we can’t look to external sources for healing. We must go within to cultivate our Knowing, and NOBODY can ever touch that.

So I just forgive them and move on and try to build a new relationship with them. Because I know its not their fault its how they were brought up and it was stressful raising a weird kid that got bullied in school. No one gives parents a book on how to handle depressed kids. And nobody tells you what to do with your anger issues. You have to accept you have a problem in order to find solutions and my parents just never knew or admitted it themselves. Then why did you have kids in the first place, when you know you’re just going to beat them up for something little/when it’s not necessary?
      2) “I don’t know how to be a good father” as in you still try your best to be a good parent, even though you’re not the best:
Don’t give up! Parenting is not something that is easy for everyone. Maybe seek for assistance so you can learn from there!

Narcissist father. I send love and light to this girl. Also being a Korean and having a father and a mother who had tried to suck my energy all my life (but they don't realize they do), I decided not to talk to them and I feel peace. I just want to say to this girl, please detach from your father and your past, find your inner peace first because you deserve love and happiness. It might take years but do it for your own sake. 힘내세요 응원합니다. ❤️❤️❤️

Someone from my church has a son who married a Korean woman. One day, that man said that his son was getting beaten by his Korean wife. He told him son to divorce her, but his son is still with her. They’re trying to work it out.
Some people can be pretty naive to assume that only men can be traumatized and then traumatize others. It can happen with women too.

I also started crying, i actually went through something like this, when i was young i was severely abused, finally it was found out by the time i was fourteen, barely 3 years ago (i was 21) i was able to drive by andstop by the same house where i lived my worst years, i cried a lot, the house now abandoned, held in all the years i spent in a horrible hell of beatings and sexual harassment and starvation, and that day i felt strong enough to stop, and cry all i wanted to...and after, after i fel better, relieved, no longer afraid
