Sebastian Bach. One of the best vocalists in rock. You are now down the Skid Row rabbit hole. Now you have to do, “I remember you, Wasted time, Youth gone wild, Quicksand Jesus, Slave to the grind and In a darkened room”. You won’t regret it. Sebastian was in his early 20s when he started with Skid Row. I believe they broke on the scene in 89. I was 22 and he is a year younger than me.
My brother was at their concert many years ago. He was in the front row. Some a$$ threw some type of bomb on the stage. They stopped the show immediately. The ten people in front got hurt, not too bad, but had to go to hospital. Show over! My brother was in the news paper from the pic right after it happened. We still have it. Skid Row gave them all free tickets and backstage passes to another show!!
I really appreciate your channel men. This is not an insult to you or anyone else. I'm blown away when I watch reactors say they have NEVER heard of bands like Skid Row??
Lead singer is Sebastian Bach, not to be mistaken with Johann Sebastian Bach. This was my favorite song back when it first started being played on MTV, I was probably 12 at the time. And as far as I remember the music video is basically what you said but that it was an accident but that one mistake cost him his life and the life of his friend. Great song, brings back a lot of memories. I would love to hear you react to Queensryche "Silent Lucidity". Also to Skid Row "I Remember You", "Slave to the Grind", and "Youth Gone Wild".
In the comments for this song everywhere everyone says they were 12. Me too. Bunch of us 44 year olds running around haha. I've only got 4 days til 45 hits. Uh, Ricky, got a bullet left for me?
Saw Skid Row with Pantera...best show I've ever been to! Was slammed up against the security gate up front. They weren't 10 ft from us. Rachel Bolen (bass player) threw his pic to me twice. This is my favorite band of all time. No one has a voice like Sebastian Back. No one. And he's so gorgeous😍 I'm so damn lucky this was my generation..GenX!
Skid Row was my favorite band when I was a teen back in the 90's...I met Sebastian Bach once...he was truly a decent and nice guy to give sweet attention to a chubby, silly little 15 year old girl who could barely speak @the time. The lead vocalist for Skid Row is named Sebastian Bach and he's a phenomom singer!! Other songs you should check out are Youth Gone Wild, Wasted Time, Monkey Business, Slave To The Grind, and I Remember You
"He obviously doesn't have a good home life". Great understated comment, as the video shows his dad throwing him thru a window, and he takes off. That is certainly not the Walton's family. ;)
His name is Sebastian Bach and yes!!! he has an amazing talent, his voice was powerful, I remember when this song and I remember you where shown for the first time on MTV and was a huge hit!! His vocals on the song " WASTED TIME" is kickass !!! He shows off his vocals for sure on that song !!! His name is Sebastian Bach- for sure an 80s band. Lol
This was one of their best, deep, made ya think...80's Big Hair Bands were great, Had their own rocker sound really, always love me a good screaming band...This song tells the story of Ricky, a poor, tough-as-nails 18-year-old who gets drunk and accidentally kills someone with his gun, earning him a life sentence in jail. Skid Row guitarist Dave "Snake" Sabo wrote it after reading in a local newspaper about an 18-year-old boy who shot his friend by accident. Thanks J, Peace
Their "In A Darkened Room" song is one of their best...and if you don't at least tear up there's something wrong with you...Sebastian's voice can tear your heart out
Skid Row! The amazing Sebastian Bach, with the amazing voice and the amazing mane of hair. Good Lord, that man was the subject of many of my dreams and fantasies. This video is so powerful. Still hits you right in the gut, even all these years later.
This came out between 1989 and 1990. Great song great band, I was a 13 or 14 year old when it came out. Love these guys. Sebastian bach, the lead singer it was just as wild as his songs. Watch some stuff on him
I recall many years ago. A girlfriend of mine worked as a receptionist at an office. Said "big beautiful tall white guy walked in. .all the gals swooned. Sebastián just had a cool present. 😎
You know what metal has that attracts people - Heart! When the Chorus kicks in you feel it. When the solo hits you feel it. When the singer screams you feel it. Talented musicians. Heart-wrenching lyrics and sing-along Choruses. You can't beat Rock N' Roll.

Well considering *Sebastian Bach* the singer is two days younger than me we just turned 21 that year 1989. He was actually discovered at rock photographer Mark Weiss's wedding. But he wasn't Skid Row's first singer that mantel belongs to *Matt Fallon. Jon Bon Jovi and Dave Sabo, Skid Row's guitar player, were teenage friends. They made a deal that whoever got signed first they would come back and get the other one signed. Now as far as songs go their debut album had some serious good tunes *Youth Gone Wild, I Remember You, Makin' A Mess Of Me and plenty more incredible tunes on albums to come of theory. You gotta hear Sebastian’s vocal range in these two songs “Quicksand Jesus” and a great song about addiction called “wasted time” he spent time on Broadway in New York singing in different shows there so talented. Seen them live a few times late 80s early 90s legit talent! I’m enjoying watching you discover smart music writing 🎼 not to mention the dedication and skills it takes to play their instruments. Hey much love from Minneapolis 🤘🏻keep on keeping on
Quicksand Jesus and Wasted Time are great choices. He did spend time on Broadway later, but his vocal range is very operatic. His range can be compared to Mariah Carey, with Bas winning.
New Sub.. Sebastian Bach went on to do 4 shows on Broadway.. He's a classically trained choir boy with a true luv and passion for music.. He's one of the greats..
Sebastion said the song was actually written about an 18 year old friend having to go to war. Sebastian actually sang on Broadway in the play Jeckyl and Hyde. His voice is past crazy good.
You should check out Warrant. Their song "Uncle Tom's Cabin" is a must to listen to, It's a great video too! Jani Lane's voice was perfection. Some other songs to check out of theirs are "Heaven", Sometimes She Cries", "I Saw Red", "32 Pennies", "Down Boys", "Blind Faith", "Stronger Now", and "Cherry Pie".
Saw this guy in a tiny ass bar after the breakup of Skid Row. He was still singing the songs and his voice in person..... dude... friggin awesome. Also even though it was just a small venue this dude really gave it everything and put on one hell of a show. Love me some Sebastian Bach. Also little known fact. Bach was not the first person to sing the songs on the first album. It was a guy named Matt Fallon. While Fallon is a good singer the vocals of Bach are really what took all these songs and the band to the next level. I was so sad when they broke up.
Sebastian Bach has the voice of an angel, probably more so than *any* other male singer I've heard. I mean, if I could imagine the most crystal clear, most powerful, most operatic most pleasantly and evenly toned / pitched, and most ranged male voice in my head, this would be it. The song "I Remember You" is also simply phenomenal, like many others have already said. I am probably just repeating things. Lol. Anyway, he's also a big guy at 6' 4" or so and got his start from Bon Jovi (who signed them and took them on tour.. same for Cinderella and some other bands from the time), and he's guest-starred in some TV shows including "Trailer Park Boys" (which I find to be hilarious). So he's also pretty comical and a humble dude, to boot (his interviews easily show as much). Thanks for the reaction! Always great watching your videos!
This was from their first album. Say what you will about the strange styles and often corny music videos, but the Early Eighties saw the emergence of virtuosic instrumentalists and the Late Eighties saw the Lead Singers really advancing in their craft to catch up. Sebastian Bach is a prime example of the latter. Skid Row's second album was the first Metal release to debut at number one on the charts. Not bad for a bunch of dudes from, Jersey. 😉😁 BTW, Bon Jovi is from Jersey too. 🔥 Check out the first single from their second album, Monkey Business.
Hit the Skid!!!!! One of my first concerts!!Sebastian Bach had one of the best 80s rock voices. So many Awesome songs! (And his Trailer Park Boys stint was dope! 🤣) Whoop!! ♥️🤘
I think Sebastian was around 20 years old when this album came out. He had so much control of his powerful voice at such an early age. Some people just have natural ability and talent.
Sebastian Bach, a beautiful voice on a pretty, pretty boy...and he knows it. He's also pretty hilarious on some TV cameos and great on Broadway. I would definitely recommend Skid Row's songs I remember you, Youth gone wild, In a darkened room, and Quicksand Jesus.
Oh my goodness!!!!! Yes!!!!! Sebastian is so beautiful!!!!! 😍😍...... they were definitely eighty's and up. They too have a lot of good stuff!! If you enjoy his voice......... I think you'd enjoy also a band called Cinderella!! They've also got plenty of songs to choose from 👍👍💕
man....heard that song a few hundred times (still do) and that last part where Sebastian screams ....always gives me goosebumps. make a teaction of skidrow i remember you live at Wembley stadium...you'll be blown away by Sebastian Bach vocals
You really should check out Cinderella’s, Don’t Know What You Got (Till It’s Gone). A incredible piano driven ballad by one of the absolute best hard rock bands of the 80’s. I know how much you like the piano😁
One of my favorites for close to 40 yrs. I saw them with Bon Jovi. They were just awesome. In my opinion Sebastian Bach has one of the best voices in Rock. His voice has a huge range. I would check out I Remember You or Wasted Time. They have several great songs.
Ahh yes, he would also love some of Poison's other songs: Nothing But A Good Time, Something To Believe In, Fallen Angel, Talk Dirty To Me, Unskinny Bop, I Want Action, Your Mamma Don't Dance, Ride The Wind.
He is about 20-21 in this video. He is 53 years old as I write this and this came out in 89. They blew us all away, yet sadly like Guns n Roses, Posion and others they came at the end of the 80s when rock started to fade to Grunge in the early 90s. One of the best voices in Rock
All us girls were majorly jealous of his hair!! Lol.....Night Ranger is group you should checkout. Don't tell me you love me and Goodbye is a good place to start......they have awesome vocals. Just a suggestion! Love watching you ❤
K... I just heard you say you've never done a reaction to these guys SOOOOO..... before your comment section gets crowded I wanted you to see this recommendation/request...... PLEASE do "I Remember You" Live at Wembley Stadium. (Skid Row was touring with Guns n Roses) That performance and Sebastian Bach"s vocals in it will blow your mind!!! You HAVE to do that one..... Ahhh when music was real music. This was my anthem as a young kid. I was totally obsessed with this song & played it constantly. I was a little metal head from the age of 6 and I can’t see that ever changing 😎
This generation missed out on the most musical talent bands ever. 80's there was no auto tune, just good music and people that could sing.

His fingers to the bone
Just barely out of school
He came from the edge of town
Fought like a switchblade
So no one could take him down, oh no
He had no money
No, no good at home
He walked the streets a soldier
And he fought the world alone and now it's

Your crime is time and it's
18 and life to go
18 and life, you got it
18 and life, you know
Your crime is time
And it's 18 and life to go
Tequila in his heartbeat
His veins full of gasoline
He kept his motor running
But it never kept him clean
They say he loved adventure
Ricky's the wild one
He married trouble
And had a courtship with a gun
Bang-bang shoot 'em up
The party never ends
You can't think of dying
When the bottle's your best friend and now it's
18 and life, you got it
18 and life, you know
Your crime is time and it's
18 and life to go

Seen them live a few times late 80s early 90s legit talent! I’m enjoying watching you discover smart music writing 🎼 not to mention the dedication and skills it takes to play their instruments. Hey much love from Minneapolis 🤘🏻keep on keeping on
Quicksand Jesus and Wasted Time are great choices. He did spend time on Broadway later, but his vocal range is very operatic. His range can be compared to Mariah Carey, with Bas winning.
I agree, those are two of my favourite songs by Skid Row. I read somewhere Sebastian had classical vocal training.
Sebastian Bach, one of the greatest vocalists of that era! I Remember You and Youth Gone Wild are also really great songs.
The Guitar player is Snake Sabo, he is Jon Bon Jovi's best friend. And was Bon Jovi's original guitarist.
Sebastian Bach is the singer and yes it's an 80's band. I Remember You and Monkey Business are great songs by them too. Bach has an amazing voice!!!!
New Sub..
Sebastian Bach went on to do 4 shows on Broadway..
He's a classically trained choir boy with a true luv and passion for music..
He's one of the greats..
I REMEMBER YOU. Skid Row. Vocals are sick!
You should react to their songs Quicksand Jesus, Monkey Business, Wasted Time.
Skid row
Poison
Motley Crue
Ratt
INXS
Boston
Journey
Just a few 80s bands
I'll 2nd all of the above! :)
RATT N ROLL
you forget Def Leppard , Loverboy . Boston is the 70's band , but very great band 😎👍
@@gerryweed7697 All excellent and WORTHY of reactions too!!!!😎 There's SO many greats out there, it's impossible to list them all!!!😂🤣😅😅
@@michaelgilbert197 you are right 😎👍 80's was a great era for music 🎸🥁🎷🎶
80’s power ballads are the absolute best!
Sebastian Bach, great voice AND great hair! I like their songs "I Remember You" and "Wasted Time".
Here's some more Skid Row songs: Sweet Little Sister, Rattlesnake Shake, Big Guns, Youth Gone Wild( look for a live version), Piece of me
Monkey Business, Wasted Time
obviously we need a block of Skid Row WOOT WOOT
I remember you...
Rattlesnake Shake is off Motley Crue's garbage Dr Feelgood album
@@notofthisgod32 That's a different song. Check the tracklist for Skid Row's first album.
Saw them live in the 80s. Sebastian had a fabulous voice to go along with his fabulous mane of hair😁
Skid Row - "Wasted Time", "In a Darkened Room", and "Quicksand Jesus"
This was from their first album.
Say what you will about the strange styles and often corny music videos, but the Early Eighties saw the emergence of virtuosic instrumentalists and the Late Eighties saw the Lead Singers really advancing in their craft to catch up. Sebastian Bach is a prime example of the latter.
Skid Row's second album was the first Metal release to debut at number one on the charts. Not bad for a bunch of dudes from, Jersey. 😉😁 BTW, Bon Jovi is from Jersey too. 🔥
Check out the first single from their second album, Monkey Business.
Hit the Skid!!!!! One of my first concerts!!Sebastian Bach had one of the best 80s rock voices. So many Awesome songs! (And his Trailer Park Boys stint was dope! 🤣) Whoop!! ♥️🤘
Skid Row was one of the most important band of 80' Sebastián Bach, lead singer has a beautiful vocal range, and still touring
I think Sebastian was around 20 years old when this album came out. He had so much control of his powerful voice at such an early age. Some people just have natural ability and talent.
His name is Sebastian Bach, and he's in his 50's now, and still sounds great. He also has been on Broadway.
I saw him in Jekyll and Hyde... It was truly one of the best performances I’ve ever seen on Broadway.
Whitesnake “ here I go again “, or “ is this love “
Bach was only 19 when he joined skid row. He was trained at juliard in opera.
Gorgeous example of a human.
For 80’s hair bands check out Poison “ every rose has its thorn “.
definitely a hair band ! Got to love the 80's rock !
Please do. And Nothing But A Good Time. My all time favorite group.
YES! And also Nothing but a good time, Fallen angel and Something to believe in.
Really don't. Even Poison did better than that.
Ahh yes, he would also love some of Poison's other songs: Nothing But A Good Time, Something To Believe In, Fallen Angel, Talk Dirty To Me, Unskinny Bop, I Want Action, Your Mamma Don't Dance, Ride The Wind.
You got it right. 18 and life in prison. His name is Sebastian Bach. He was on a reality tv show a long time ago. Dude has some killer vocal chords.
Love watching you ❤
Hahaha!! Yep, we all wanted his hair!! Come to think of it.... I still do!!! ;) ;)
Yesss!!! Still crank my Night Ranger Greatest Hits CD, and those are two of my very favorite songs!
You need to set one day aside and do Glam Rock or Hair Band (80's rock) power ballads...every rock band in the 80s had one!
Sebastian's vocals and their lyrics always make me teary eyes. Their song I Remember You does the same thing to me. :'-(
What a voice!
Skid Row is an amazing band! Sebastian Bach is really one of the greatest rock vocalists of all time. Check out Wasted Time, and Monkey Business.
Sebastian Bach was 19 when they recorded this. He’s a major beast of a singer and is still kicking ass today!
Sebastian Bach, greatest hair in rock. He's got pipes. Skid Row opened for guns & Roses, so he was talented to Axel!
Sebastian Bach has a phenomenal voice. Skidrow was my favorite band back in the day.
PLEASE.🤗🤗❤
Was there it was epic 😎 👌
@@dazman784 OMG!! You were there for that!!??!!! If I could go back in time.... that's one of the things I'd want to go back and witness for sure!! LUCKY you and, how was GnR th that day I realize that's probably a dumb question however Axl was on a lot of drugs and was known for erratic performances because of it!!😂🤣😅😅
@@michaelgilbert197 one of the best shows gnr had done. Remember Brian may from Queen on top of the stage rocking with slash....oh the memories. 🤘
@@dazman784 Yes sir!!! LOVE Queen and GnR too!! Queen's in my top 3 groups of all-time!! (Zeppelin being #1, OF COURSE!!) That must've been amazing seeing Brian and Slash together Live!! Rock on brother!! :)
This song got me into Skid Row but Quicksand Jesus and In A Darkened Room (studio version) are my personal favourites. The 80’s were the best years in music.
Look at Skid Row Monkey Business!! Rockin song!!
Late 80's,early 90's Hair Bands kick ass... Sebastian Bach.. one the great vocalist of that time! Stealheart- " I'll Never Let You Go", is another great band, lead singer has amazing voice.. and -"Heaven" by Warrant is another power ballad
Awesome singer and reaction from you Jay! God bless y'all 💜🙏
Ahhh when music was real music. This was my anthem as a young kid. I was totally obsessed with this song & played it constantly. I was a little metal head from the age of 6 and I can’t see that ever changing 😎
Wow that's so cool ur taste in music must be really good.😊 I can't even imgine being able to live in a era with such cool music.❤
Sebastian Bach, goes by Bas. He was barely 21 because I was too. We are 1 month apart in age. Bas had the best voice of the 80’ and unique.
Here's a a group Steelheart; "I'll never let you go".....you'll be floored, guranteed.
You've done 2 great songs today !!!Good job, Rob Squad !!!
AGREED!! He's killing it today!!!! :)
Saw Skid Row on their Slave to the Grind tour back in 1991.
They were the opening act for Guns'N'Roses's use Your Illusion Tour.
Great show.
Sebastian Bachs voice is stunning! Those high notes are perfection. Got to love a man with glorious hair and tight pants!!!
