This generation missed out on the most musical talent bands ever. 80's there was no auto tune, just good music and people that could sing.
Like I said, the eighties rocked, young people have no idea what they're missing, the vocals, the instruments, the level of talent was ridiculous and came natural to them🤘🤘🇨🇦
Dude, I would love for a return to the 80s. Style, music, etc...
NOOOO!! THEY HAVE NO CLUE WHAT THEY MISSED OUT ON. Except my kid. He's only 19yrs old and I've raised him right cuz he LOVES 99% of what his "MAMA" loves. ESPECIALLY Def Leppard. I got a good boy! 🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂🙂
Well let's not get too hasty though. There was also a ton of crap.
Sebastian Bach is one of the most underappreciated singers. Skid Row was a hard hitting hair band with some great songs
I’m late to this convo but I totally agree. Sebastian Bach is a jack of all trades especially his voice.
I am also late. But there is no voice like Sebastian Bach. And I had like 20 copies of this (tape) when it came out. It's cool to see people discovering and loving these songs that I have also loved 🤘
Absolutely agree and Sebastian Bach still has it he can still sing
Check out his new song he can still sing his name is Sebastian Bach
They were once oblu during the bach and Rob affuso era
I was born in the 60's grew up in the 70's and 80's let me tell anyone who grew up in these times, didn't we have the best times? We grew up with great music, great concerts that will never be seen again in my opinion. In a time of not caring what people thought about you, having great times with great friends experiencing life and joy and fun.
No social media to tell you what you can and cannot say. The music I got to experience was one of a kind the all f#@cking rocked.
Sebastian Bach is the lead singer je was like 21 or so when they released this song
His strongest vocals in this song was in the line "He fired his six-shot to the wind, that child blew a child away".
I always thought it was "...and shot him in the jaw, yeaaaahhhhhhh!" LOL!
@@BillGraper lmao
That line is so powerful, even to this day it's still relevant.
YES!
Its about his friends life
I Remember You, Youth Gone Wild, Wasted Time, In A Darkened Room, Quicksand Jesus, Little Wing (Hendrix cover)
Love Youth gone Wild!!!
Wasted Time is probably his best vocals.
Yes!!! Wasted Time and I Remember You for sure 👍
Sebastian Bach had the best freaking hair of the 80s I swear! And his voice is amazing!
This come out in '89 I think. You should definitely check out Skid Row "I Remember You". Sebastian Bach (lead singer) is so good in that one.
We will definitely check it out
Wasted Time also
@@RobSquadReactions Yes but.... PLEASE do the Live at Wembley Stadium version of "I Remember You".... PLEASE..... Sebastian does something insane with his voice about halfway through the performance! It epic!!! PLEASE 🤗🤗❤
Nooooo do the official video first before the live!
Yes!! But do the official first, so you can hear his voice cleanly. THEN check out that powerhouse of a voice from the live videos.
Sebastian Bach. One of the best vocalists in rock. You are now down the Skid Row rabbit hole. Now you have to do, “I remember you, Wasted time, Youth gone wild, Quicksand Jesus, Slave to the grind and In a darkened room”. You won’t regret it. Sebastian was in his early 20s when he started with Skid Row. I believe they broke on the scene in 89. I was 22 and he is a year younger than me.
This song was actually written after Dave Sabo (guitarist) read about an 18 yo named Ricky (last name) that got sentenced to life after killing his friend with a stolen gun, in the newspaper.
Do - I Remember You. His vocals in that one are insane. I really like playing it on my guitar.
Yes
Yes!!!
@@blairsy7836 that whole album is great
💯🤘🤘
Wasted Time, as well.
Skid Row was my favorite band when I was a teen back in the 90's...I met Sebastian Bach once...he was truly a decent and nice guy to give sweet attention to a chubby, silly little 15 year old girl who could barely speak @the time. He hung out with me & my brother for an hour in our booth @ a Denny's restaurant @ like 3am the night before the concert we came to town to see(Pantara opened) the next night he ended up stage diving right in the area of the mosh pit I was in and landed right on top of me! It was a great night and a badass concert. What a beautiful & powerful voice!
Love reading these kind of stories... very cool. =)
When "Ricky" steals his father's gun, it's in a drawer with the Bible and one sock. There is symbolism there I think. I'm a child of the 80s.
Sebastian Bach. My boyfriend. One of the most distinctive voices/ranges in rock. He went on the star in Broadway shows. Dude’s still touring and is beast on Twitter.
Skid Row was the best band of the 80's in my opinion. Sebastian Bach, the lead singer, was on the show GONE COUNTRY and won a contract to do a country song. It was a great song.
I got to see him on Broadway when he played Jekyll and Hyde. He was fantastic in it.
@@sopdox Sophiaaaaaaaaaaaaa! 😩 I’m jealous!
@@sopdox when you have that kind of talent it can't suck so i know it had to be good
Great singer and great band
Another band with a great 80s vocalist Cinderella. Two of their songs Gypsy Road, Nobody's Fool.
My first concert was AC/DC & Cinderella back in 86 or 87. Great show!
Seen them open for Whitesnake they put on a better show. Night songs is a great album. So is Long cold winter and Heartbreak Station.
@@metalloadedbakedpotato4382 I’ve seen Cinderella 4 times. I was never disappointed. Those are great albums!
Love Cinderella.Saw um in Lexington,KY when I was in 8th grade around 1987 they opened up for Bon Jovi
O yes
Lead singer is Sebastian Bach, not to be mistaken with Johann Sebastian Bach. This was my favorite song back when it first started being played on MTV, I was probably 12 at the time. And as far as I remember the music video is basically what you said but that it was an accident but that one mistake cost him his life and the life of his friend. Great song, brings back a lot of memories. I would love to hear you react to Queensryche "Silent Lucidity". Also to Skid Row "I Remember You", "Slave to the Grind", and "Youth Gone Wild".
Lead singer is Sebastian Bach, not to be mistaken with HIS GRANDFATHER, classical composer Johann Sebastian Bach.
In the comments for this song everywhere everyone says they were 12. Me too. Bunch of us 44 year olds running around haha. I've only got 4 days til 45 hits. Uh, Ricky, got a bullet left for me?
I think Sebastian was around 20 years old when this album came out. He had so much control of his powerful voice at such an early age. Some people just have natural ability and talent.
Sebastian Bach was 19 when they recorded this. He’s a major beast of a singer and is still kicking ass today!
This was one of their best, deep, made ya think...80's Big Hair Bands were great, Had their own rocker sound really, always love me a good screaming band...This song tells the story of Ricky, a poor, tough-as-nails 18-year-old who gets drunk and accidentally kills someone with his gun, earning him a life sentence in jail. Skid Row guitarist Dave "Snake" Sabo wrote it after reading in a local newspaper about an 18-year-old boy who shot his friend by accident. Thanks J, Peace
Sebastian Bach, one of the greatest vocalists of that era! I Remember You and Youth Gone Wild are also really great songs.
His vocals on the song " WASTED TIME" is kickass !!! He shows off his vocals for sure on that song !!! His name is Sebastian Bach- for sure an 80s band. Lol
He really shows off his voice in "I remember you" one of their other songs
Sebastian Bach is an INCREDIBLE singer, actor. I saw him on Broadway in Jekyll and Hyde; ABSOLUTELY PHENOMENAL!! And also him live? IMPECCABLE.
Youth Gone Wild is a great anthem
This was revolutionary in the day. I'm Gen X. This shit hit EFFING HARD back in the day.
For 80’s hair bands check out Poison “ every rose has its thorn “.
definitely a hair band ! Got to love the 80's rock !
Please do. And Nothing But A Good Time. My all time favorite group.
YES! And also Nothing but a good time, Fallen angel and Something to believe in.
Really don't. Even Poison did better than that.
Ahh yes, he would also love some of Poison's other songs: Nothing But A Good Time, Something To Believe In, Fallen Angel, Talk Dirty To Me, Unskinny Bop, I Want Action, Your Mamma Don't Dance, Ride The Wind.
Skid Row formed in New Jersey in 1986. This song came out 1989 from their first album. The singer was born in 1968. He was 21 when this came out.
Skid row
Poison
Motley Crue
Ratt
INXS
Boston
Journey
Just a few 80s bands
I'll 2nd all of the above! :)
RATT N ROLL
you forget Def Leppard , Loverboy . Boston is the 70's band , but very great band 😎👍
@@gerryweed7697 All excellent and WORTHY of reactions too!!!!😎 There's SO many greats out there, it's impossible to list them all!!!😂🤣😅😅
@@michaelgilbert197 you are right 😎👍 80's was a great era for music 🎸🥁🎷🎶
Skid Row! One of the G.O.A.T.s to be sure!! Their star burned so bright they self immolated. They left behind two stunning albums (plus another but well .....) their self titled debut and Slave To the Grind. The singer Sebastian Bach has the best voice EVER! FACT!! After the band broke up he did a stint on Broadway. I believe he played Jesus Christ Superstar and The Phantom of the Opera.
Songs to check out :
I Remember You.
Youth Gone Wild.
Slave To The Grind.
Monkey Business.
In A Darkened Room.
Wasted Time.
Quicksand Jesus.
Riot Act.
Mudkicker.
Sweet Little Sister.
Big Guns.
Piece of Me.
I have to say Skid Row were a huge part of the soundtrack to my own Youth (even though it was more mild than wild). Every time I hear one of their songs I am instantly 15 again with long hair (and hair in general 😭😭) headbanging myself dizzy!! They were good times!! 😁🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Sebastian Bach vs Steve Perry. Hard, hard choice for me.
Nah! Bas had much better hair AND a Youth Gone Wild tattoo! Clear winner!!😉😁
Jekyll and Hyde
Hair bands is a term used to describe some of those rock bands of the 80s. They had that big hair.
Whitesnake “ here I go again “, or “ is this love “
Ahhh when music was real music. This was my anthem as a young kid. I was totally obsessed with this song & played it constantly. I was a little metal head from the age of 6 and I can’t see that ever changing 😎
Wow that's so cool ur taste in music must be really good.😊 I can't even imgine being able to live in a era with such cool music.❤
Man, I was freaking out when it looked like you were going to stop it right before his awesome final vocal at the very end. LOL! I was like, "WAIT! WAIT!!!" :)
“Youth gone wild” is another great song
Saw Skid Row with Pantera...best show I've ever been to! Was slammed up against the security gate up front. They weren't 10 ft from us. Rachel Bolen (bass player) threw his pic to me twice.
This is my favorite band of all time. No one has a voice like Sebastian Back. No one. And he's so gorgeous😍 I'm so damn lucky this was my generation..GenX!
Sebastian Bach, great voice AND great hair! I like their songs "I Remember You" and "Wasted Time".
You should react to their songs Quicksand Jesus, Monkey Business, Wasted Time.
The lead vocalist for Skid Row is named Sebastian Bach and he's a phenomom singer!! Other songs you should check out are Youth Gone Wild, Wasted Time, Monkey Business, Slave To The Grind, and I Remember You
Youth Gone Wild is another banger by Skid Row! Sebastian Bach is so good!!!
"He obviously doesn't have a good home life". Great understated comment, as the video shows his dad throwing him thru a window, and he takes off. That is certainly not the Walton's family. ;)
Wasted Time, Youth Gone Wild and I Remember You! Three great Skid Row songs to react to.
His name is Sebastian Bach and he's amazing his voice is unreal!! He has been on Broadway . I adored him in middle school.🔥😍♥️ I get so excited I forgot to mention that you must listen to I remember you my all time favorite song of theirs.
I really appreciate your channel men. This is not an insult to you or anyone else. I'm blown away when I watch reactors say they have NEVER heard of bands like Skid Row??
You know what metal has that attracts people - Heart! When the Chorus kicks in you feel it. When the solo hits you feel it. When the singer screams you feel it. Talented musicians. Heart-wrenching lyrics and sing-along Choruses. You can't beat Rock N' Roll.
Skid Row - "Wasted Time", "In a Darkened Room", and "Quicksand Jesus"
Their "In A Darkened Room" song is one of their best...and if you don't at least tear up there's something wrong with you...Sebastian's voice can tear your heart out
Amazing song. Very powerful.
Here's some more Skid Row songs: Sweet Little Sister, Rattlesnake Shake, Big Guns, Youth Gone Wild( look for a live version), Piece of me
Monkey Business, Wasted Time
obviously we need a block of Skid Row WOOT WOOT
I remember you...
Rattlesnake Shake is off Motley Crue's garbage Dr Feelgood album
@@notofthisgod32 That's a different song. Check the tracklist for Skid Row's first album.
Skid Row! The amazing Sebastian Bach, with the amazing voice and the amazing mane of hair. Good Lord, that man was the subject of many of my dreams and fantasies.
This video is so powerful. Still hits you right in the gut, even all these years later.
Sebastion said the song was actually written about an 18 year old friend having to go to war. Sebastian actually sang on Broadway in the play Jeckyl and Hyde. His voice is past crazy good.
My brother was at their concert many years ago. He was in the front row. Some a$$ threw some type of bomb on the stage. They stopped the show immediately. The ten people in front got hurt, not too bad, but had to go to hospital. Show over! My brother was in the news paper from the pic right after it happened. We still have it. Skid Row gave them all free tickets and backstage passes to another show!!
You gotta hear Sebastian’s vocal range in these two songs “Quicksand Jesus” and a great song about addiction called “wasted time” he spent time on Broadway in New York singing in different shows there so talented. Seen them live a few times late 80s early 90s legit talent! I’m enjoying watching you discover smart music writing 🎼 not to mention the dedication and skills it takes to play their instruments. Hey much love from Minneapolis 🤘🏻keep on keeping on
Quicksand Jesus and Wasted Time are great choices. He did spend time on Broadway later, but his vocal range is very operatic. His range can be compared to Mariah Carey, with Bas winning.
I agree, those are two of my favourite songs by Skid Row. I read somewhere Sebastian had classical vocal training.
Sebastian Bach the lead singer was around 21 yrs. old at that time.Great vocals, powerful singer! 🤘🏻🎸
Sebastian Bach, a beautiful voice on a pretty, pretty boy...and he knows it. He's also pretty hilarious on some TV cameos and great on Broadway. I would definitely recommend Skid Row's songs I remember you, Youth gone wild, In a darkened room, and Quicksand Jesus.
Sebastian Bach - sick voice and, well, hubba, hubba, hubba. I LOOOOVE when they all had that long hair that they whipped around.
You need to set one day aside and do Glam Rock or Hair Band (80's rock) power ballads...every rock band in the 80s had one!
This came out between 1989 and 1990. Great song great band, I was a 13 or 14 year old when it came out. Love these guys. Sebastian bach, the lead singer it was just as wild as his songs. Watch some stuff on him
Sebastian Bach has the voice of an angel, probably more so than *any* other male singer I've heard. I mean, if I could imagine the most crystal clear, most powerful, most operatic most pleasantly and evenly toned / pitched, and most ranged male voice in my head, this would be it. The song "I Remember You" is also simply phenomenal, like many others have already said. I am probably just repeating things. Lol. Anyway, he's also a big guy at 6' 4" or so and got his start from Bon Jovi (who signed them and took them on tour.. same for Cinderella and some other bands from the time), and he's guest-starred in some TV shows including "Trailer Park Boys" (which I find to be hilarious). So he's also pretty comical and a humble dude, to boot (his interviews easily show as much). Thanks for the reaction! Always great watching your videos!
Ricky was a young boy
He had a heart of stone
Lived 9 to 5 and he worked
His fingers to the bone
Just barely out of school
He came from the edge of town
Fought like a switchblade
So no one could take him down, oh no
He had no money
No, no good at home
He walked the streets a soldier
And he fought the world alone and now it's
18 and life, you got it
18 and life, you know
Your crime is time and it's
18 and life to go
18 and life, you got it
18 and life, you know
Your crime is time
And it's 18 and life to go
Tequila in his heartbeat
His veins full of gasoline
He kept his motor running
But it never kept him clean
They say he loved adventure
Ricky's the wild one
He married trouble
And had a courtship with a gun
Bang-bang shoot 'em up
The party never ends
You can't think of dying
When the bottle's your best friend and now it's
18 and life, you got it
18 and life, you know
Your crime is time and it's
18 and life to go
18 and life, you got it
18 and life, you know
Your crime is time
And it's 18 and life to go, ye-yeah
Accidents will happen?
They all heard Ricky say
He fired his six-shot to the wind
That child blew a child away, ye-yeah
18 and life, you got it
18 and life, you know
Your crime is time and it's
18 and life to go
18 and life, you got it
18 and life, you know
Your crime is time
And it's 18 and life to go
His name is Sebastian Bach and yes!!! he has an amazing talent, his voice was powerful, I remember when this song and I remember you where shown for the first time on MTV and was a huge hit!! I feel in love instantly with Skid Row and Sebastian of course, amazing voice plus a handsome man, I mean .. you know!!!
Saw this guy in a tiny ass bar after the breakup of Skid Row. He was still singing the songs and his voice in person..... dude... friggin awesome. Also even though it was just a small venue this dude really gave it everything and put on one hell of a show. Love me some Sebastian Bach. Also little known fact. Bach was not the first person to sing the songs on the first album. It was a guy named Matt Fallon. While Fallon is a good singer the vocals of Bach are really what took all these songs and the band to the next level. I was so sad when they broke up.
Sebastian Bach has a phenomenal voice. Skidrow was my favorite band back in the day.
Saw them live in the 80s. Sebastian had a fabulous voice to go along with his fabulous mane of hair😁
His name is Sebastian Bach, and he's in his 50's now, and still sounds great. He also has been on Broadway.
I saw him in Jekyll and Hyde... It was truly one of the best performances I’ve ever seen on Broadway.
Oh my goodness!!!!! Yes!!!!! Sebastian is so beautiful!!!!! 😍😍...... they were definitely eighty's and up. They too have a lot of good stuff!! If you enjoy his voice......... I think you'd enjoy also a band called Cinderella!! They've also got plenty of songs to choose from 👍👍💕
Sebastian Bach, greatest hair in rock. He's got pipes. Skid Row opened for guns & Roses, so he was talented to Axel!
I saw them live in 1985 and what a show! We all thought the singer Sebastian Bach was hot lol. His vocals were amazing.
Here's a a group Steelheart; "I'll never let you go".....you'll be floored, guranteed.
You should check out Warrant. Their song "Uncle Tom's Cabin" is a must to listen to, It's a great video too! Jani Lane's voice was perfection. Some other songs to check out of theirs are "Heaven", Sometimes She Cries", "I Saw Red", "32 Pennies", "Down Boys", "Blind Faith", "Stronger Now", and "Cherry Pie".
Skid Row is an amazing band! Sebastian Bach is really one of the greatest rock vocalists of all time. Check out Wasted Time, and Monkey Business.
You got it right. 18 and life in prison. His name is Sebastian Bach. He was on a reality tv show a long time ago. Dude has some killer vocal chords.
80’s power ballads are the absolute best!
The Guitar player is Snake Sabo, he is Jon Bon Jovi's best friend. And was Bon Jovi's original guitarist.
Hit the Skid!!!!! One of my first concerts!!Sebastian Bach had one of the best 80s rock voices. So many Awesome songs! (And his Trailer Park Boys stint was dope! 🤣) Whoop!! ♥️🤘
Sebastian Bach is the singer and yes it's an 80's band. I Remember You and Monkey Business are great songs by them too. Bach has an amazing voice!!!!
Well considering *Sebastian Bach* the singer is two days younger than me we just turned 21 that year 1989. He was actually discovered at rock photographer Mark Weiss's wedding. But he wasn't Skid Row's first singer that mantel belongs to *Matt Fallon. Jon Bon Jovi and Dave Sabo, Skid Row's guitar player, were teenage friends. They made a deal that whoever got signed first they would come back and get the other one signed. Now as far as songs go their debut album had some serious good tunes *Youth Gone Wild, I Remember You, Makin' A Mess Of Me and plenty more incredible tunes on albums to come of theory. Love Peace and Happiness Y'all !!
I recall many years ago. A girlfriend of mine worked as a receptionist at an office. Said "big beautiful tall white guy walked in. .all the gals swooned. Sebastián just had a cool present. 😎
You really should check out Cinderella’s, Don’t Know What You Got (Till It’s Gone). A incredible piano driven ballad by one of the absolute best hard rock bands of the 80’s. I know how much you like the piano😁
I was at the Opera House in Toronto as a Teen, and Sebastian Bach walked right by us and we didn't notice till it was too late.
I REMEMBER YOU. Skid Row. Vocals are sick!
He is about 20-21 in this video. He is 53 years old as I write this and this came out in 89. They blew us all away, yet sadly like Guns n Roses, Posion and others they came at the end of the 80s when rock started to fade to Grunge in the early 90s. One of the best voices in Rock
This was from their first album.
Say what you will about the strange styles and often corny music videos, but the Early Eighties saw the emergence of virtuosic instrumentalists and the Late Eighties saw the Lead Singers really advancing in their craft to catch up. Sebastian Bach is a prime example of the latter.
Skid Row's second album was the first Metal release to debut at number one on the charts. Not bad for a bunch of dudes from, Jersey. 😉😁 BTW, Bon Jovi is from Jersey too. 🔥
Check out the first single from their second album, Monkey Business.
Skid Row was one of the most important band of 80' Sebastián Bach, lead singer has a beautiful vocal range, and still touring
New Sub..
Sebastian Bach went on to do 4 shows on Broadway..
He's a classically trained choir boy with a true luv and passion for music..
He's one of the greats..
The best band that somehow went under the radar for many people ❤ …the song is about a Vietnam veteran who was known to one of the band members
Sebastian's vocals and their lyrics always make me teary eyes. Their song I Remember You does the same thing to me. :'-(
Sebastian Bach truly talented one of a kind underrated just so God-given voice. It came so natural to him. He didn’t even have to work at it or try hard. It just came out some of the best pipes ever.
man....heard that song a few hundred times (still do) and that last part where Sebastian screams ....always gives me goosebumps.
make a teaction of skidrow i remember you live at Wembley stadium...you'll be blown away by Sebastian Bach vocals
K... I just heard you say you've never done a reaction to these guys SOOOOO..... before your comment section gets crowded I wanted you to see this recommendation/request...... PLEASE do "I Remember You" Live at Wembley Stadium. (Skid Row was touring with Guns n Roses) That performance and Sebastian Bach"s vocals in it will blow your mind!!! You HAVE to do that one..... Gorgeous example of a human.
Sebastian Bach...born in Australia and applied for the lead singer at age 18...was hired due to his range and appearance. Not to mention his cockiness. Which led to the band breaking down and releasing him. After that he went on to Broadway and performed in Phantom of the Opera. Since he was trained as an opera singer in his younger years.
One of my favorites for close to 40 yrs. I saw them with Bon Jovi. They were just awesome. In my opinion Sebastian Bach has one of the best voices in Rock. His voice has a huge range. I would check out I Remember You or Wasted Time. They have several great songs.
Look at Skid Row Monkey Business!! Rockin song!!
The new singer for Skidrow is Erik Grönvall. He auditioned to swedish Idol with this song, because he was a fan. Now he is the new lead singer in Skidrow. Worth covering maybe. It´s a great story. :)
When this song came out in 1989, Sebastian Bach was only 19 years old. His voice is incredible.
Youth Gone Wild is another good one. A great song is Whiskey Lullaby by Brad Paisley and Allison Krauss. To get the full power of the song, the "movie" video is the one to watch.
Good music!!!
Great tune.
👍👍
My over all favorite singer. Keep Skid Row coming
Thats what the vid was about but the song, the real meaning was about his brother coming home from Vietnam. They wouldnt play it on MTV because of the shooting in it. Check out{ "I will Remember You" 1991 live} by Skid row
And Sebastian Bach and skid row sounded just as good live. A great show 3× for me
