Every time I think she’s done everything here she is with something else I’ve never heard of in my life! I love learning new things ❤️ thank you so much for always teaching us🥰
2:52 Sometimes you stumble on some treasures. My favourite kitchen bowl was left behind by a previous tenant when I moved into a new apartment. I've had it for 12 years now.
I’m Afghan and it’s so awesome that a version of bao is called mantu! Mantu in my culture are dumplings that are stuffed with onions, and served with meat sauce and yogurt 😃
Bananbao! Amazing Emmy, thank you for sharing. I am a long time silent subscriber, would be interesting if you could attempt Chwee kueh (or water rice cake), a Singapore cuisine originated from Teochew. They are little cups of steamed rice cake topped with some separately prepared preserved radish. I think you will have fun making and tasting them! - Love from Singapore
Canadian here, our supermarket chain T&T is currently selling the peelable mandarin & banana bao! I got a package of each for $12CAD total, 6 mandarins and 8 bananas.
I mean, she mentioned in the video she’s not a fan of bananas in general especially flavoring but I’m sure if you want to try the recipe you can add that!
But she made potato cheese not banana bread... I wonder if you left this comment on a video for banana bread, but it ended up on here cause you had watched it previously. That happens to me sometimes
Hi Emmy- it is absolutely adorable!!!!!! I remember making bread using banana peels- very fun- have you tried that one yet? Doing a collaboration somehow with you emmy would be #1 on my bucket list!!!
Kneading dough is my favorite part too. I even like kneading more than eating the finished dough. People keep asking why I don’t buy a bread maker but it’s because the breadmaker does all the tasks I enjoy leaving me with no enjoyable parts & bread I could buy just as easily that lasts longer.
These are adorable. I’m never going to try this at home but I think perhaps trying to perforate the peel may help it “peel” after cooking 🤷🏽♀️ I’m new to Bao but not so new to baking! Another wonderful video Emmy! Ty!
Hey!!! I feel you Emmy, I’m not a big banana fan either ✌️ I only like bananas mixed with peanut butter 🫣😂 which is strange because I actually don’t much like peanut butter either… but that combo, yum!
Haha I grew up with peanut butter and banana sandwiches as a kid. I thought we were the only weirdos that liked that combo. Still like to have them occasionally as an adult😊
Did this video sound a little slower for everybody else than normal or is it just me?! Almost like the pitch was a tad lower than it usually is, really noticed it on the music. My playback speeds are all normal. Weird 😅
How about adding a little banana and vanilla extract. And some sugar. Brush the outside with an egg wipe to give it a glossy shine. Serve with ice cream and strawberry topping.
I remember bananas having a lot more flavor. Also the flesh part (not the peel) was more yellow than white. Of course I'm pushing 60, so that was some time ago.
You might be remembering a different variety of banana…there was a more “banana-y” banana variety many years ago that was popular for export to the U.S.. It got basically wiped out by a disease. There are other varieties that were more resistant to this disease, and one of those varieties took over as the popular one, it was indeed a milder banana.
Cool! But you should have some banana flavoring in that steamed bun. Maybe mix some mashed bananas into the dough, or substitute crème de banana liqueur for some of the milk, or add a teaspoon of banana flavor extract.
Oh My God! I didn’t recognize your voice in the beginning of this video! It’s like deeper and just overall sounds like someone else! Did you use a different mic or like are you doing something different?
Witchcraft! I like it, but being fanatically fond of bananas I'm not sure it is a good thing. :) But if you like buns more than bananas it would be a treat. Perhaps I'll make some banana flavoured ones, or does that defeat the purpose?
I have a recipe that when mixing you actually use the banana slices, the outside of the banana just cut the head and the tail off and then you actually cut up the banana outside and put it into your mix and you make banana bread out of it. I actually have a recipe and when I find it, I’ll make sure I mail it to you. Email it maybe I don’t know I’ll try to get it to you.
imagine telling everyone you're bringing banana bread to the potluck and this is what you show up with
I bet you could make the inside part with actual bananas or very banana bread like.
Every time I think she’s done everything here she is with something else I’ve never heard of in my life! I love learning new things ❤️ thank you so much for always teaching us🥰
You're most welcome! Thanks for sticking with me through the years. 🧡
@@emmymade I love you Ms Emmy! ❤️
2:52 Sometimes you stumble on some treasures. My favourite kitchen bowl was left behind by a previous tenant when I moved into a new apartment. I've had it for 12 years now.
Lucky! The only thing I found in my apartment from a previous tenant was an old bra in the bathroom cabinet 😬.
I think lotus paste would work perfectly for this instead of red bean - the colour matches great!
White bean paste would also be good too!
I love that she always tries the fun recipes
Like "Is it cake?" but "Is it bread???" ahahaha I Love it!!!
I love watching your videos before bed they are so soothing! 🥰
You did a fantastic job making these like real bananas!! ❤❤❤
I’m Afghan and it’s so awesome that a version of bao is called mantu! Mantu in my culture are dumplings that are stuffed with onions, and served with meat sauce and yogurt 😃
i love sweet red bean paste so much!!! i literally sat down with a red bean bun while watching this video!!!!
Hi Emmy! That’s an excellent bowl for making dough! Great find 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Black cocoa powder is amazing! It’s great in hot chocolate 😊

Aww Emmy has gone bananas! 😅. Love your videos and positive outlook on life in genersl. Thank you for being you Emmy.
That bowl is so pretty! Nice find, Emmy!!! You did great!!!
You definitely entertained me!!!
Yay! Thrift store finds are the best.
I was just thinking "what a gorgeous bowl" and as if she heard me, she said "I found this bowl at the thrift store"... synchronicity
Every time I’m stressed or having a panic attack I come to your channel. Your videos make me so happy❤️
You did a great job Emmy!!!

Have you tried banna extract or banana flavoring? It sounds delicious 😊
Good idea!
I mean, she mentioned in the video she’s not a fan of bananas in general especially flavoring but I’m sure if you want to try the recipe you can add that!
Oooh with banana purée or even banana pudding in the middle !
It's just about midnight, but I absolutely can not resist watching this video before bed, I'm so intrigued!!
This gives a wole new meaning to banana bread!🍌🍞👍
🍞🍌
But she made potato cheese not banana bread... I wonder if you left this comment on a video for banana bread, but it ended up on here cause you had watched it previously. That happens to me sometimes
That's nice Emmy, enjoy watching your video.

Hi Emmy! How is your day going?? Thank you for the wonderful video and sharing the cute banana mantou recipe for us!

Oh my goodness. This is fantastic, Emmy! Amazing. I'm defs sharing with my baoest friend.
Baoest friends!🧡

Peanut butter + sliced banana + raisins on multigrain or whole wheat bread. 😊
How creative and neat!
Bananabao. This is too cute, Emmy ❣️
🍌🍌🍌

Looks fun
Bananaman getting a shout out was not what I was expecting.
Good ol' Nickelodeon introduced me to that one.😆
Oh the innuendos 😂❤
This is so cool❤
Awesome video Emmy!! I agree that the Bao's would be much better in balls! forms then banana.
Beautifully made bananas. I love Emmy’s innate crafting abilities!
Maybe more oil between layers, and more cooling…?
Good job Emmy❤
Thanks!🍌
Baonana!! 🤭 it sounds totally Delicious!!
So fun!!!
It doesn't get more literal than this. 🍌 🍞 💯
Look at you not wearing a dark shirt while working with flour! You’ve now broken your streak. Love your videos and your soothing voice.
It would be so cool if you could make the inside Bao either like a banana bread or fill it with banana stuffing!🤷♀️👍🏻🥰
visually appealing and fun!
It's official, Emmy has gone bananas!!!
Can you make Czech kolaches soon!!?? They are my favorite 😍
I remember bananas having a lot more flavor. Also the flesh part (not the peel) was more yellow than white. Of course I'm pushing 60, so that was some time ago.

This seems like it would be quite nice with some banana puree in the middle
You're alway entertaining & educational to watch! Too bad it wasn't as a-peeling as you wanted.
I was so intrigued to find out what kind of banana ive been eating. I never considered what type it was but im happy to know it's Cavendish.
one thumb up is not enough - these are beyond adorable - thank you
Can you flavor your dough? Like banana or vanilla beans, so it doesn’t taste like white bread?
this blows my mind, even watching the process and knowing it's bread my brain is still like oh look a banana!
Try it with fruit filling!
Looks fun to try! Do you happen to have a ink to red bean paste? It's definitely one of my favorite parts about buns 😹
Looks great. Wonder if you add banana flavoring to the dough....would it taste better than just bread.
Turned out so cute.....
Can you add banana flavoring to the White bao?
More oil between peel and inside so will be easier to peel
This is the weirdest satisfying thing I've seen 😂
Finally, a banana bread i would eat
I refuse to eat my food unless I’m watching Emmy’s videos
Banana bread of a new type
Love these. Baonana! Heheheh
Cool!
But you should have some banana flavoring in that steamed bun. Maybe mix some mashed bananas into the dough, or substitute crème de banana liqueur for some of the milk, or add a teaspoon of banana flavor extract.
I saw the title and thought you were going to make bread out of a banana. PLOT TWIST! You made a banana out of bread. 🤯
Please make a t-shirt or hoodie that says “alrighty, my lovelies”
Goodness, that was fun to watch.
Yay! 🍞🍌🍞🍌🍞🍌
Wat kind of milk did you use Emmy?? That milk looke hella thick lol
Oh My God! I didn’t recognize your voice in the beginning of this video! It’s like deeper and just overall sounds like someone else! Did you use a different mic or like are you doing something different?
I feel like a shaggy mass of dough atm, I too need some rest :) TGIF
Your bananas are lovely!
I offer my condolences on the not peeling
Could you do an orange or tangerine shaped bao? Round, and peelable!
LMAO BRUH. She said she made that already. She said it in the first minute😂😂😂
Never saw banana man, but bananas in pajamas was great
I showed the successful peeling to my fiancé and he was super impressed 😎
Try making Pullman bread. I made it. Baked in a Pullman Pan. The bread is "square" with no crust.
She did 2 years ago.
Awesome 😎❤
Emmy, technically the dough puffs up. If it goes poof, it actually disappears! 😆🇦🇺 Bread dough puffs up.
So if someone described a person with hair that was all poofed up, you'd think they were talking about someone who was completely bald?
11:54 i think you mean the fruit of your labor 😉
Not a bruised banana - a nana with experience. 😂
“Bananbao “ :P
For years, my son thought the song was “Banana man” ☺️
❤ Simply Delicious ❤. The food looks good too 😋
Witchcraft!
I like it, but being fanatically fond of bananas I'm not sure it is a good thing. :)
But if you like buns more than bananas it would be a treat. Perhaps I'll make some banana flavoured ones, or does that defeat the purpose?
"I will now explain bananas to everyone." 5:54
Now that's a bau wow!
Ahhhh.
An oasis in the wasteland.
Thanks for all your uploads.
It's my pleasure. 🧡
Bao-nana!
Her voice sounds deeper compared to other videos..shes all grown up! 😢
I found this recipe to be very appealing 😅
long taro is long beans and its rare things. actually i dont know its english name but its long like long beans
It does reminds me of cake or fake, but is mantou
You could have added banana flavouring to the Bao mixture.
You missed the perfect opportunity to say “FRUITS of your labor!” 😅
How dare you not be a banana lover.🍌
Emmy, try it again but make the skin thicker, and let the banana dough rise for an hour before you steam it.
I would add some banana flavouring to the banana part
