Emmy, I think you're wonderful. I have to ask, are you aware you've increasingly spoken in a very halting manner? I'm so sorry to ask. It keeps taking me out of what you're discussing. I hope you understand this is asked in the most caring way. I'm very sorry if it is misguided. I truly mean well.

Wholesale clubs, like BJs, sell Active Dry Yeast in large cubes for just a few bucks. I store mine in the freezer and it lasts forever.

Yeast and other packaged bacteria (cheese/brewing) can live dormant for years frozen. Just bring their container to room temp, and give a bit of a stir before adding to your next creation. I make hard and semi-hard cheeses as a self-funding hobby.

I have never seen yeast in cubes, I have seen yeast in jars! I got back into making bread last summer, well, I was determined to learn to work on making yeast rolls, my yeast rolls never turned out as well as my grandma’s or my mom’s! I now am getting it, I love UA-cam has got me into making yeast rolls and candy!

I’ve made milk bread with tangzhong before and have been meaning to try the WOL version. The laminated 1000 layer bread reminds me of another UA-camr baker who makes laminated French/Turkish pastries, often using melted butter instead of softened butter. Her pastries flake similarly.
