I just want to let you guys know, this story has never sat right with me since I was a child. And knowing that Yolanda could be free… I was vomiting and crying an hour after this reaction. 💔
Great movie but yeah, definitely hard to watch. Very emotional movie.
Yolanda is eligible for parole March 30th, 2025. Next year. SO hard to believe. She has been in prison for almost 30 years. I seriously doubt that she will be released.
I'm happy she may be free next year. I can finally get my hands on her. Off-topic this is how Jlo can inspire to lip-sync her songs lol.
this movie always brings me to tears, watching you react that way at the end, c broke my heart . your also very beautiful, famous
Wow...just tell me how you really feel.
okay Mj I see you fuck it up then 😂 shoot Im dancing with you and it’s sad she died so so young tho 😖 and no Mj ur not ugly
Sel's husband Chris is the chillest, most down to earth dude. I met him in 2013 when I was 17 years old he came to Nashville for an autograph signing of his new book *To Selena, With Love*. He took the time to speak with me for about a good 10 minutes when he didn't have to. RIP Selena, and may Yolanda Saldivar not be paroled in 2025 and rot in prison!
Isnt she comingbout soon
Same here. I had a t-shirt made me for. It was Selena's "Preciosa" cover sleeve. And he immediately recognized my shirt and he kept on touching my shirt and was in shock. He said that "Preciosa" is his "all-time" favorite Selena album. He sang a piece of "Yo Fui Aquella" and he wanted to see if I knew the words and of course, I sang along. But yes, very down to earth guy. I can totally see why Selena was in love with him!
my bro & sis met AB & Cruz at a sports bar in Corpus close to Freddie Records .. before their beef of course
her best bet is to stay in there fr lmao cause baby im BLACK and when i see her it’s upppp Selena would’ve been so bigggg and she’s so sweet she def didnt deserve her life taken from her.
It's insane that Selena died 5 days after Eazy E passed away. Same year, same month, different days. Rest in peace, Selena
we lost 2 pimps that month RIP
True that was one of the worst weeks EVER 😢
To lose both The Godfather of Gangsta Rap & the Queen of Mexican American music in the same exact week is very fuckin wild. And very sad😮💨
Yes! and then 24 years later nispey hussle passes away on the same day! tragic
RIP to both
Fun Fact: the guy who played Pete (Mullet Man) in this movie is the real Pete Astudillo from Selena's band, yes he played himself.
And as a FYI $10 in the 50s is like $130 in today money
Everyone knows J Lo killed it in this role, but nobody talks about how amazing the little girls that played young Selena. That kid killed it too
Jennifer Lopez played this role soooo good it felt like I was watching Selena in the movie fr 🥹 R.I.P beautiful Selena 🥺💕
Absolutely not
@@steviemack6969 who would have played her better?
@@steviemack6969it’s annoying we can’t block people on UA-cam
Fun fact: just about everyone in the crowd was crying because it felt like Selena had come back from the dead
The recording of the hands when doing the guitar solo was actually Selena’s husband Cris
I recently took a trip down to Corpus where she grew up. Visited the statue of her, her house, the studio, and her grave site. Even got to see Big Bertha parked at the studio. Very humbling and sad experience.
My sister lives in a condo overlooking her grave site. So many people come to pay their respects.
It’s my dream to see Big Bertha! But I’ve seen comments saying sometimes she’s there, others she’s not.
R.I.P to 3 amazing people in the world who died on March 31st and many others.
Selena Quintanilla
Brandon Lee (the son of Bruce Lee)
Nipsey Hussle
@@COSun25 Tell me about it. The thing is they were years apart. Brandon died in '93, Señora Quintanilla died in '95, Nip died in 2019 and many other potential "celebrities " who life ended who could've changed the world.
you forgot eazy e since he passed on the 26th of march, the end of march in 95 mustve been sad as hell
@@presi08AMA Eazy E passing away five days before Selena is crazy, of course, sad, too, just for all these people who have passed away.
This is one of my favorite movies, I think Selena would’ve been huge if she was still alive today. It’s so sad but we have her music to continue her legacy
Both in music and modeling
BEST “SELENA” REACTIONS IVE EVER SEEN!!!
FUN FACT: All of the music playing in the movie are the actual songs from Selena's catalog. The Quintanilla family gave authorization for Selena's music to be used
I always get a feeling in my stomach & heart watching this movie. Every time. I could tell Selena was soooooo loved. The candle light scene along with Dreaming Of You just makes you cry. Like you knew her personally.
I love this movie so much Selena was a beautiful girl that had a gift of a angel rip to Selena 👑🕊️💐
The fukd up thing is that the woman who murdered Selina is still living and due for parole next year! They should never let her out of prison. 😡
Exactly plus when she’s out on parole all hell will brake loose
She’s safer in jail than being free
Knowing all the ppl gonna be outside of the jail they gotta keep her inside
I thought she was out already 😂! The fact this will be all on social media? Oh yeah it’s gonna be a fun day 💯!
She won't get parole unless she admits to what she did and actually shows remorse. She just was interviewed on an Oxygen show and she continues to paint Selena as a villain with a bad secret and that she killed her by accident. Once the parole board sees that they will instantly deny her parole.
I joined the Navy in 1994 and was stationed near Corpus Christi, TX. that summer for my first assignment. Some of my crew and I went to the local mall Padre Staples and went clothes shopping, not knowing Selena waa from Corpus and would frequent the mall there along with her boutique. She was amazingly beautiful and a wonderful talent who will be missed. ❤🙏🏼
Selena's death is even worse if you look into how severe the damage was from that single bullet, and how far the doctor went to try to revive her.
He only learned how bad the damage was upon growing confused over why none of his attempts were succeeding.
Selena was a beautiful singer inside & out. I fell in with Selena.. I cried during the passing, but at the time I didn't know who she was. My teacher showed me who she was. I have some albums from her.. Her music will be lived forever. . R.I.P. She was loved.
My son is 11 yrs old now. He is a HUGE Selena fan. When he was 4 or 5. He, his mom, and I were sitting on the couch watching TV. Saw the Selena movie coming up. Asked if he wanted to watch the movie. At first he said no, just wanted to play on his tablet. Movie starts. Less than 5 mins, he puts away the tablet. He's glued to the TV. Getting close to the end of the movie hits. Realization hits. Oh crap! He doesn't know this part of Selena's life. His mom and I are looking at each other. Wait! Should we stop the movie? Do we let it go on? We'll, the movie plays on. The slow realization of wants going on, hits him. OMG! His world was wrecked for almost a week. Everyone he knows. That lady killed Selena! Why did she shoot Selena? She's so mean. He wants to go to her prison and be there if they let Yolanda out. He's ready to throw down on her.
She's my favorite performer of all time. truly unmatched . one of the greatest losses in american/Latin music history!
SELENA FOREVER!
this was the only movie to ever make me cry and the first movie i ever cried to..i was like 12... the end gets me
Dreaming of You is my favorite song by Selena. Such a beautiful talent gone too soon her killer was a pos
Thanks for reacting to this MJ and the one who requested this 🕷🕸👸🏼
As a Mexican, thank you for reacting to Selena Movie, she will always be known for her amazing beautiful songs and also a beautiful soul we won't never forget 🇲🇽💚♥️ Edited ~ JLO did an amazing Job!
here some stuff you might not know:Selena’s ring: it was purchased in January 1995 for $3,000 dollars and was swiped with Selena’s corporate bank card because Yolanda did pocket those ladies money. The motel used for the death scene is a real motel it’s the Super 8 in San Antonio, TX Ww White Road also when Selena dropped the ring in the ambulance that really did happen but in the movie it was J.Lo’s stand-in. The only song ever recorded by Selena at Q Productions was Dreaming of You and Q Productions is used for the I could fall in love scene.
Selena is so iconic she literally was the first Mexican crossover artist that was told no you can’t do that and she said I’m going to anyway because everybody deserves to love my music. Everybody deserves to know what I’m singing about. There’s people that don’t understand Spanish I wanna do music for them as well. I wanna do music for everybody and that’s iconic and fashion. Everything was so ahead of time. I’m literally Caucasian but I have Mexican family and my whole life. I’ve grown up on Selena. I’m 30 years old now I love her so much and I was crying right there with you because I hate dealing with seeing this, if you haven’t seen the Netflix show, you should definitely watch that. It’s really good and they picked a really good actress to play Selena, but it will make you cry.
This Movie s a Tear jerker, it's okay we all been there such a emotional roller coaster
I was a kid when this happened! It was not a good time it was everywhere in television. The saddest I felt! Truly missed! RIP Selena!
Dreaming of you is my Favorite Selena song
@camillej1616 Me too.
Same 😢😢
Anything for Selenas Forever ✨🩵✨🩵 Great Reaction mj
No matter how many time I watch this movie the end always gets me. To know someone that was so young, sweet, and had so much life to live lose their life to nonsense really hits hard.
Salma hayek was actually asked to play selena too but she thought it was too soon since she was asked like a week or something after Selena died to play her in the movie she would’ve been so good as selena too I feel 🤩
facts gotta respect salma for that honestly
Respect your reaction, I feel your tears 😢. Selena was such a diamond 💎, very sad
her song missing my baby is so underrated too it’s in english & she def would have been so good at r&b songs by the way she sounded in that song 🤍
I just watched it right now and it's such a classic film. Jennifer Lopez played Selena so well. I do believe that Selena and Jennifer Lopez are spiritual sisters for life. The tragic day when J.Lo leaves this earth, Selena will greet her with open arms and they will be dancing and singing in heaven.
This is a really good movie but also sad and heartbreaking I cried when I First seen it
I am HUGE fan of Selena! Thank you SOOO much for doing this reaction
A ton of people on here are obviously paying respects to Selena, and rightfully so... but the thing that most people forget is that Abraham was a major asshole in real life. If you know anything about pageant parents/parents who force their dreams on their kids... that gives you a tiny bit of foresight into who Abraham was/is.
That’s exactly what I was saying!!!
I grew up in Corpus Christi and Selena was part of the local/regional Tejano music scene for a LONG period of time. She was definitely the queen of Tejano, but her career really started to boom when the English album came out. In my opinion, she didn't become super famous until after her death. I remember when the movie came out, people in Corpus Christi were mad that a Puerto Rican (J. Lo) was playing a Mexican-American (Selena). In hindsight, this was a good choice because J. Lo really does capture Selena's grace and style. I recommend watching any old YT videos of Selena to get a feel of who she was.
I was a toddler when she died, but I know she was a beautiful woman inside and out. As for Yolanda, she had an unhealthy obsession with Selena even before they met and I pray she doesn’t get out of prison.
True story. In high school,I was babysitting. I decided to put on Selena and go study for the finals I had. When I came back into the living room, there wasn't a dry eye in the room. I think I made a mistake back then.
Every note you hear is selena. Makes it special
I've seen footage of the stage collapsing. Don't know if it's still on UA-cam or not
J Lo did a really good job with this role
50:12 me too man
Yolanda aint ready for this smoke when shes released bro
In 1996 my 6th grade Spanish teacher loved obsessed with Selena, we spent more time watching Selena music videos and listening to Selena CDs than we did learning Spanish.
In 1997 when the film was going to be released on VHS the teacher went to the mall to pre-order the tape so we could watch it in class.
Nice lady but after two and a half years she didn’t teach much Spanish.
But I remember coming home from school and seeing the live news coverage of the stand off, didn’t know the significance of Selena was at the time.
This movie and Anaconda made Jennifer Lopez my all time crush since the 90s
selena is a icon for mexican americans, women and latinos and everyone else. 🌹🌹🌹🌹
It's crazy how over the years Spanish actually became one of my favorite languages because of this movie and the reason why is because I felt like if Selena didn't pass away, I would have loved to see her in concert as a little girl and I always felt as though she had the perfect ability to keep growing as a Tejano artist with her music.
One of my favorite movies and your reactions just made me laugh as if I had never seen the movie before.
I watch this movie 1000000 times n I always cry at the end !!! I loveee this movie! Great reaction
23:05 had me dying 😂😂😂😂😂 “listen fat girl” 😅😅😅😅😅😅
R.I.P to Selena a legend 🤞🏾🤞🏾
Selena is definitely a legend. 💜🤍
The crazy thing about her wining the grammy, Selena was competing against Vicente Fernandez and Los Tigres Del Norte AND SELENA WON!!!!!
You crying at the end got me emotional at end.
First thing i wanna say i seen your movie reactions (Blood in Blood out, La Bamba & Selena)
am half Mexican & watching your reactions is amazing,
With Selena i love that movie when i was little my mom was really into Spanish music, i however didn't like Spanish music as i turned 20 i turned to Selena & i became a fan, am 28 now & i really like Spanish music call me weired but i feel like anything with Spanish it's in my Blood,
I don't speak Spanish i know some & you are also a beautiful Latina, but watching your reaction towards Selena it was awesome but at the end that hit me hard, not only cause of how Selena was but i to lost my mama 3yrs ago so i thought bout her to am not a emotional person but damn your tears got me to cry,
Other than that i like the person you & your amazing with your movie reactions, With that note am going to subscribe to you.🥰
Fun fact: the actor who played as the mom originally auditioned for Selena realizing her talent they casted her as the mom instead of just moving on from her
From my understanding, when the movie first came out, people were mad that they chose JLo because she's puerto rican and selena was mexican american. Which made me think who the crap cares. She did a great job as long as she does justice to selena who cares? I think she did an excellent job. When she was doing the performance at the astrodome, she did every handflick.Every breath, just like Selena and her dad said He felt like he had his daughter back again for a moment. That tells you how good of a job JLo did.
Girl my wife and I cried right there with you, first time crying for me even though I’ve seen this movie hundreds of times
Awww I’m soooo excited for this, I’ve been hoping to see you react to this
What pisses me off is that almost 30 years later Yolanda is still lying on Selena’s name. She has taken responsibility finally
But it’s coming across as fake for the parole board.
Thanks for reacting to this movie
I'm so glad to finally see another reaction to this I'm surprised it's not trending in the reaction community, this and also "Arthur" (1981).
I was raised in San Diego around the time that she was really blowing up. Chicanos really called here Selenas. She was a goddess. People would skip work to catch her on morning shows on Telemundo. It was really crazy how much she was loved.
Every party my parents had, they always played Selena, which was also the one singer my sisters use to sing whenever they had karaoke night.
😢 every time this movie hits u in the heart
I love this movie so much respect RIP Queen Selena love the video MJ stay motivated Dream big 1 mill on the way
One of my favorite movies with j lo ❤
You gotta do a reaction to the awesome bio "THE JACKSONS: AN AMERICAN DREAM"
It's the story of how the Jackson family became a musical group and before Michael became a solo artist
Ngl I cried the same way if not harder when I first saw this movie as a child💔💔😭😭😭
It's the hardest thing when Daddy's girl grows up. Something I think only dads & Daddy's girls understand
The reaction at the end, I truly understand it. I was like "Awww, she's crying🥺"
I was 11 years old when she died, it shook the community..i cried everday for a week. It still hurts to think of her tragic story.
OMG I AM SHOCKED THAT YOU ARE REACTING TO HER MOVIE!!!!!! ESTOY MUY...... EXCITED!!!!!!!
Same about speaking Spanish because I never speak Spanish at all but now I speaking Spanish so suave and people tell me I sound so sexy whenever I speak Spanish like a novela. I'm a 3rd generation Mexican American man who loves speaking Spanish and Selenas
I live in her city and the W fireworks stands are very eerie at 24 min on the video because I often see them on the outskirts of the city.
Wassup MJ can't wait for this reaction keep them coming my friend 😊
Yassss, MJ! 🙌🏾🙌🏾 I can't wait for this, this has been my most favorite movie since I was in the 6th grade #LongLiveTheQueen💜🌹
It was all Selena vocals except for 3 words sung by j lo. It makes me laugh because when we were teens my bestie said “j lo singing had NOTHIINNGG on Selena singing” lol. I had to break it to her that she just shat all over Selena’s real voice.
shoutout from south texas i stay 30 mins south of corpus christi
I cry everytime
Amazing reaction to the Selena biopic
I was a freshman in HS when Selena was murdered on 3/31/95 and I remember this day like I remember 9/11/01.
I went to my aunts house to hangout with my cousin right after school and we started playing UNO cards watching MariMar (if you know you know) the tv on in the background and all of a sudden the news comes in and I will never forget “la famosa cantante Selena ha fallecido” and we dropped our cards in shock and just started ballin. 💔 🙏🏽 🕊️
MJ coming with that heat this week. #AnythingForSelenas
Anything for Selenas Forever 🕊️✨🩵
I remember it well, we were heartbroken in Houston 😢😢
I feel like JLo did so good with this movie that there is no need for another Selena movie. She perfect for the role.
I cry every time I watch this movie. It's been one of my favorites since I was 6
mj nice job on the upload
Maaan this movie gets me every time!
If I’m not mistaken the guy that plays young Edward James olmos (Selena dad) plays the young him in American Me as well
another great reaction vid for a great movie, lots of great memories from that movie, those times. everyone in tx will thumbs up this vid
ps the actress that played young selena" Rebecca Lee Meza" also had a good music career
I remember when it was all over the news it was crazy is like the whole state of tx had a moment of silent when she passed away
Moral of the story is don't trust anybody
I still tear up everytime I watch Selena or everytime I watch someone do a reaction video, she had everything and Yolanda took it all away
MJ Awesome Video Today!!🔥🐐🐐💎
I been playing lead guitar with bands since I was 14
I love your videos MJ
It's the fact that her killer could come out next year, that alone pisses me off.
lol it’s all good, all the latinas out there are ready for her ass to come out 😂
She is eligible 4 Parol which she may get it or not
shes gonna killed out there if she gets out
@@corsicanlulu I’m surprised she has survived this long.
@@user-br3is2jh1t well shes not in general population, shes been in solitary confinement if i recall correctly
My favorite selena Movie
Selena legend forever
I’m kinda like you. I moved to New Jersey from Ecuador when I was 5. After a few years of trying to master English, I basically lost all of my Spanish, and got a ton of flack from my family for that. Thankfully I was able to relearn it over the years
Girl i damn near cried with you... 😢 50:13
I will forever cry at this Movie. Selena deserved so much better! WASN'T FAIR AT ALL.. She was a beautiful angel!
