Ah, Armin ... It's been 22 years now and we still had people visiting his house daily - up until a few weeks ago when his house got burned down. As of now, everyones still unsure who did it.
Remember Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark? I always loved reading the ones that involved cannibalism. Especially the one with the dead woman's liver. I don't actually want to eat people, but the descriptions of the food preparation were so good that it kinda didn't matter that it involved human meat.
Bone Soup, Liver, even that disgusting big toe. The author made it sound delicious.
It is hard enough for me to imagine how someone could possibly be attracted to the idea of eating somebody, but it is even harder for me to understand how somebody could ever be turned on by the idea of being eaten themself. I know that many paraphilia are not exactly in the best interest of the health of the individual, but that aside I cannot even understand how this could ever be appealing from any perspective.
Thats why cannibalism, among many other fetishes, is also considered to be mental disorder or illness. It's a state of mind that is harmful and illogical.

Maybe you got your answer by now, but just in case : I read quite a few cases of cannibalism where the killer actually... loved his victims. He wanted to eat them so they could "live with him forever". It's usually more romantic than truly sexual, and very rarely done for the act of feeding itself. If we take this from the victim perspective... I suppose it could be seen in a similar way? Maybe Bernd felt lonely or unloved and thus wanted someone to give him attention. So much so that he would be a part of them forever after, even in the afterlife. It is highly symbolic really. And I guess it could be perceived as some extreme showcase of masochism.

Blood, in fact, does _NOT_ contain "everything a person needs for nutrition." That's 100% wrong lol. If you tried to live on only blood, you would definitely die eventually, probably from some general malnutrition if you were lucky. It would not be a pleasant way to go.

Also just to add: the red juice you see on uncooked pieces of meat is *not blood* ... there may be very slight amounts of blood if it's from a local butcher and hes not very thorough with his product, but its actually hemoglobin and water. Which I believe is where meat gets its red color.
