Not really, wicca is a newer form of paganism and witchcraft that many other pagans don't like getting lumped in with, and the occult and ceremonial magick is completely unrelated to either, also predates wicca and is equally valid.

When I was in high school, I took forensic science and one of the things we did was study information about the human skeletal system. During the time we were studying this section, our teacher brought out a skeleton that was missing a few limbs and bones, and explained that we may examine it, but acknowledged that it was a real human skeleton. I clearly remembered her telling us: “Please treat these bones with respect. These belonged to a real person who donated their body to science, and even after their death, they deserve respect, even in the name of science.” I’ve always kept this sentiment at heart because I feel like a lot of people don’t understand the importance that comes with respecting and admiring people even after their deaths. Seeing this just makes me really disappointed in the fact that there’s stupid tumblr girls that disregard the respect that these bodies deserve and instead just rob their shit from graves just to satisfy their stupid experiments or beliefs. I feel like at this point even cannibalistic tribes have more respect for dead bodies than these buffoons do.
Atleast the cannibalistic tribes, for the most part, use them to make tools, clothing, or at the very least fertilizer, furthering the remains life as something extremely useful or being put back into the earth to give life to crops or plants. Like if I had died and my remains where converted into a spear and a bunch of knives, that would be kind of cool.
I definitely agree with your sentiments, and reciprocate them, but I have reason to believe that to them, this may be a way of honoring and respecting those whose bones they are using. I'm not saying I quite agree with HOW they use them, obviously, but I can understand their reasoning behind it, strange as it may be.
@@ungurdagda813 I think the point is: the skeleton used in the classroom was a person who wanted to be treated as such. Meanwhile this woman is just taking the bones of random people, some of whom may have beliefs/religions that require specific burial procedures and if the family found out they were disturbed could mean that family member is barred from their afterlife
What makes it especially frustrating is that, to them, they WERE respecting the remains, albeit in a "waste not, want not" kind of way, not a "let this person rest in peace" kind of way. Personally, I'd think a better way to respect these people's remains that were getting washed away into the gutter by rain and then chucked in the garbage would be to take them out of the garbage an re-bury them, but it's clear that whoever did this didn't want to respect anyone but themselves.
It's even more annoying because these people in these discourses never bother to prove that they actually even got said threats. They just go "yeah I got them, trust me" I just assume at that point they're lying to deflect criticism, nobody really cares that much about the privacy of random internet harassers (who generally don't use their real name anyways) so there's no real incentive for these people to always hide it outside of lying
Imagine convincing yourself that you're being respectful by using someone's bones for magic when that may very well be the most disrespectful and blasphemous thing to ever happen to that person, dead or alive. Some people really would rather go in the trash than be used in such a way. This story always makes me nauseous.
I mean, I've given my mother permission to use my bones if I die before her, she's a witch too, but regardless of whether you believe in her religious beliefs, at least she has 50 years more experience and knowledge to say "If you need human bones to do your shit, you're probably either an asshole or a fucking idiot, or both.". Her words... I don't believe in witchcraft but it's really helped my mother and many people she helps, so whatever.
True story. My cousin, who is a moron, got herself involved in a little cult of wanna-be Wiccan idiots. After a while she decided she wanted to marry one of the other idiots. So they set up a tent on top of her Mormon mother's grave, and loaded it full of candles and pentagrams and shitty daggers and other nonsensical paraphernalia that they figured seems adequately dark and Wiccan, and then they invited her whole Mormon family to attend. Oh yeah, and called the local news to come cover it. Sometimes it's embarrassing to be the same species as some people.

That's the thing, this story would not be egregious if she only had looked for people that donated their damn remains, for all you know in life they believed that they'd be damned if their remains were messed with posthumously. The fact it was a *Pauper's* (read: impoverished) Graveyard mostly where Black people were buried (because of the demographics of, and economic situation in New Orleans), just underlines the hypocrisy of this so-called "witch", and the "woke" group that apparently had no issue with their stealing and selling of the remains. My sister is non-practicing Wiccan, and my mom's Pagan (she considers herself a Green Witch). They themselves do not do curses and hexes but do know practicing witches and warlocks who do, and they're NOTHING like this. In a lot of Pagan circles it's actually considered extremely magically bad to use human remains without the dead's express consent, unless it's part of your cultural practice or they're family remains or something. It's considered in a way to be karmically dangerous. It's not so much her using human bones that is the issue here, the issue is that she used bones that were NOT from her family and NOT freely given; bones that came from the poor and ethnically oppressed. You don't just leave offerings to the dead and then take bones like that in most Pagan practice, it's considered morally ambiguous at best and really not a good idea at worst because it's basically bad juju. It's disrespectful on a spiritual level. In fact I'm pretty sure no Kemetic witch worth their salt would ever do this because it's just... not worth it, for the same reason one may use their own blood in a spell but NOT someone else's blood.

This is not a joke. When I met them they were going by the name Ayden Darling. When they first moved to Florida they did not start in Tampa, they ended up in Floral City living with some friends of mine which is where I met her. I was intrigued by her story and in fact wanted to interview her for my own UA-cam channel at the time. We ended up getting rather close and ended up in a relationship together which I only broke off a few months after her arrest ( I still have all of the insane letters they wrote me from jail). They manipulated my life and continued to do so for years afterwards. I have recently been considering making a small testimonial of my experience with them for UA-cam again and somehow this video was suggested to me only moments ago. I've never really had a chance to explain how they came into my life, burned it down around me and continued to try to set fires to the lives of the people who were close to me for years afterwards. I would be interested in talking to you about this matter if you would like to do a follow-up on your documentary. I can 100% prove to you that I'm being honest about this. Stealing bones from a graveyard is already morally questionable. What makes it even worse, especially in this era of racial violence protests and George Floyd, is that she's a white girl and she got them from a cemetery that catered mainly to poor black residents of New Orleans. That's morally reprehensible IMHO and yet another example of the privilege this fake-ass white knight claimed to be against. Gross.
It is disgusting and horrible across the board. It doesn't matter that she was stealing bones from x or y; it is all despicable, simple as that. At least Louisiana took notice and made the buying and selling of human remains illegal. It won't stop the trade of human bones, but it will hopefully deter people filled with morbid curiosity.
I guess I'm in the minority. I don't give a shit what anyone does with Human remains. It's absolutely ridiculous to care. "Respect for the dead" is a load of BS when you're referring to the corpses. It should be MANDATORY to donate ALL viable organs upon death. The living are infinitely more important. After that, sell skin, bones, whatever. It doesn't matter. It's really idiotic to care. "Desecration" of corpses is nonsense. It's not a real thing. Was she racist/classist for collecting these bones? No. Those were the bones available to her. If I went to the shoe store and they only had white shoes, so I bought white shoes, you wouldn't say "oh you really wanted white shoes specifically" you would say "oh you needed shoes."

the whole "i'm not a wiccan I do Black magic" thing is just "I'm not like other girls", but Spoopy.
Not really, wicca is a newer form of paganism and witchcraft that many other pagans don't like getting lumped in with, and the occult and ceremonial magick is completely unrelated to either, also predates wicca and is equally valid.
@@scurrilousss Wicca isn't paganism, at all, Unlike for example Asatru or Druidry there's no historical basis in the practise Further back than an Elderly Pervert in the 1950s, for the most part Wicca is maybe 1% actual Olde English Folk Magick, combined with a Healthy dollop of Psychedelic hippie nonsense, the New age and for at the last 2 decades its been a feminist political Movement LARPing at Practising Paganism to the point where many Male Wiccans have left the craft and started seeking out other paths, it's a total joke.

Id say damn I had to die to be worth something
It would be hilarious if ghosts existed so they could come back and mock someone like this. Magicians love to mock the religious but if anything they are even more delusional.
Which high school has a forensic science class?
"Oh someone sent me a death threat, I guess that means I'm absolved of any and all wrongdoing!" is the dumbest line of logic on the internet
Claiming death threats is the oldest discourse trick in the book.
Death threats don’t mean anything. Like they’re literally words. Usually sent by 14 year olds too
It's even more annoying because these people in these discourses never bother to prove that they actually even got said threats. They just go "yeah I got them, trust me"
I just assume at that point they're lying to deflect criticism, nobody really cares that much about the privacy of random internet harassers (who generally don't use their real name anyways) so there's no real incentive for these people to always hide it outside of lying
I wonder how these corpse's families would feel about some random person taking their loved one's bones to LARP being a witch.

weird justification for the desecration of human remains

It's elfsucc nah man you have it all wrong. They’re not practicing indigenous magic, but INDIGENIOUS! That’s a completely separate type which is dark and creepy! Otherwise they’d be the worst kind of racist hypocrite! Right? ...right?
No, but it was indeginious.
It's elfsucc as with 90% of tumblr users, social activism and identity function primarily as a hip aesthetic. They don’t even realize that what they are doing is perpetuating stereotypes of indigenous and creole traditions as the dark and dangerous “other” because they think it’s cool. It’s classic orientalism based on historical misconception and stereotyping. These people are some of the densest fools I’ve ever seen I swear
To be fair did she ever actually say she was? She said she practiced “indigienous” magic, which could imply she knows she isn’t indigenous, but merely play-pretends with “indigenous magic.” Like someone who practices Brazilian jujitsu might not be Brazilian.
I was there when this happened and it feels surreal now; imagine being there in 2015 watching people on your dash have discourse about when witches stealing bones is and isn't ethical. Absolutely mind boggling. But the memes were pretty funny.
The fact I have to share a plane of existence with people like this make me wish for an Armageddon
"Yanno how we did it? BONES."
Also it's funny how the group said people were being outed for being trans and gay ect... No you guys were being outed as grave robbers.

@@sambradley9091 Yes, exactly!
@@scofthenight Yeah unfortunately despite having the self awareness to know their gender they lacked the awareness to not grave rob which is honestly baffling, plus trying to say they're indigenous is bullshit lmao, I bet they have a "Cherokee princess" for a great grandmother

11:31 Why did this make me think of "Im not like those *other* witches"
"Not questioning someone’s magical techniques, or not digging up the bodies of dead black people to do magic with" is the funniest line of any of your videos.
I still have pictures of the two of us together and can help to fill in the gaps in the story that most people would be unaware of.
***I originally made this comment on
Eldena Doubleca5t's video on the subject.
Oh god
You don't want to be romantically involved with a black magic practitioner. They can (and probably will) use magic to get what they want off you. If your story is real you may want to seek help on undoing the possible spells made upon you. Also a UA-cam comment is a very flimsy way of trying to get in touch with youtubers, I advise you look for more effective ways of contacting them like e-mail.

I love it when niche groups turn on each other and engage in internecine warfare. It's funny to see what petty differences actually mean life and death to them during a nerd war.
Like when Old School Runescape users had a meltdown on their subreddit over whether or not they were going to have a pride day celebration that was optional to even do.
6 months ago I asked who Justin was and here I am rewatching videos bc I’m so into this dudes content
This is completely disgusting to hear someone talk about getting bones from a graveyard off people that have died.
I’m absolutely with you here, if I caught her in a cemetery where my relatives were buried, stealing bones... big yikes for her
Stealing bones from a graveyard is already morally questionable.
Whang! So awesome to see you cover a story from New Orleans! As a NOLA Native, it’s amazing to see even some of our less strange stories.
Also, fun fact: I used to find bones all of the time beneath the houses of my aunt’s old neighborhood. Tbh they’re kind of everywhere. Even after Katrina, we had so many bodies wash up, one of them was my friend’s older brother who had passed away right before the storm hit back in 2005.
Shit is crazy here. Please feel free to talk about us more. New Orleans loves you my dude. ❤️
