serkan oksuz official only modification is to update the firmware in TBS Agent to 3.75 to 4.0. you will be able to go 100,250,500, and 1watt. No hardware modifications
I just got mine and it over heats on 1w and keeps going into some overheating solid white light mode. If you are buying this specifically to do 1w just get the crossfire lite
@@calank923 Hi BigTurbo5.9! You might want to contact support because that definitely should not happen at 1watt. Trappy mentioned that the unit was tested at 1watt for 20 minutes and did not over heat. Customer support is great, especially if y contact them right about now. I run mine Dynamic and my transmitter yells out the watt value reach time it changes.

Great video! Does the 1w power output on the crossfire makes the module too hot? I heard rumours about needing to needing to use dynamic power and modules getting very hot. What is your opinion?
I use Dynamic power and have my transmitter speaker say the milliwatts when it changes automatically. I did notice my transmitter battery life was pretty bad when I set it only to 500mw or 1watt. Dynamic just makes sense

Hyprmtr as far as I know, you need to change the output manually. It does not move from low to high mw when it detects signal strength is low. At least not in the micro TX V2. When I'm at a park, I stay at 250mw which is plenty to go through and behind trees. The park I fly it's very big. Be cautious if you have the Radiomaster TX16 and run 500mw on a 3000mah 2s pack. It drains battery in your transmitter FAST! Once the radio master goes under 7.9volts, crossfire won't arm the quad and your motors won't spin. So bring/buy spare batteries for your transmitter if 6 plan on getting a full day with 500mw or 1watt
Have you had any solid white light overheating warning on 1w with the micro v2? I slammed my cidora sl5 into the ground today because of it mid flight on 1w. Never actually had a fail safe just the module throwing itself into some cutoff mode to keep it from burning itself up. I'm pretty disappointed about the 1w overheating but on 500mw its fine
I have never had that issue BigTurbo5.9. it really sounds like a unit issue. I would not settle for 500mw when it can do the 1watt. I hope they correct this Brother!

Dragon Claw FPV thanks Dragon Claw! I'm still waiting for the motors, but could not wait for Banggood to deliver, so I have some Brother Hobby 2806.5 motors coming in tomorrow. So long story short, it won't be a Tyro 129 anymore with those upgraded motors. I have a feeling that the 2508 motors that comes with the Tyro 129 were not strong enough and caused a lot of issues with 7" props at 6s. At least that's b what Kabob says. Lol. I'll keep you posted
It's been out for a week now. It's the 4.0 and at 1watt!! It's awesome. You want to goto TBS agent Update firmware and click on "include beta firmware" Then "Reload Product Firmware" And most importantly Hit the "Save" button, or the 4.0 firmware will not show up. Took me 2 days to figure that one out. Lol

From my understanding Trappy of TBS started that all of the components of the Micro TX V2 is a major upgrade from the original and that they sold the V2 knowing it can handle 1watt consistent. Surprised your DJI has short range. There are plenty of vids where people push 12KM before losing video. Make sure your antenna is away from the carbon and up high on top and spaced at least 6cm from your crossfire antenna.
I'm not impressed with the teeny tiny pads on the Crossfire Nano Receiver. They are so tiny they are virtually unsolderable. I couldn't do anything with them.
@@scottgivens27 If I were to ding a motor bell, break an arm, fry an ESC, bust a camera lense, zap the FC, or rip off the battery leads and or cap... or break an antenna connector... that would be teh end for that quad. There is no repairing it, might as wellt hrow it in the trash att hat point or recycle it for parts soemhow or liquidate it on ebay. Well, all that is wishful thinking really; in reality it just ends up in a box of yoru junk equipment that no longer works or maybe never did. Four out 5 of my quads have never flown, and the one that did fly only flew for 5 minutes, before I destroyed it brand new on the bench when I mated the battery connector the wrong way. Not suppose to be possible, but surprise, it was, thanks to the company using a bogus XT60 connector o nit. So a tiny little micro quad... if I can't fix a 7"... with it's teeny tiny Nano crossfire pads and tiny FC solder pads... if I can't fix that... there is not a chance in heck I could do anything with a tiny quad with everything so tiny and packed togetherin there like a sardine can. Not even with my 51mp Hayear soldering inspection microscope...
Very cool. Vid. Hey brother I have DJI Googles. Love it! But need better radio..have x lite and I love it. Confused on crossfire? Which one to get. The 79 dollar one or the 160 one? Or dji remote or ghost?? Allot of options.. but I really love my x-lite.. but already built 6 birds. All have xsr .. gets pretty good range. But as you know dji goes allot farther. Almost get a mile with xlite stock. But penetration sucks. New sub brother! I built the only waterproof dji bird! I call Peregrine Bear.. lol have a great night
Sleeping Bear honestly, I can’t tell you which one to get as they all have their place and everyone has different preferences. For me, the $69 dollar Micro TX V2 is all I’ll need for FPV flying. At 1Watt you will be able to go further than your VTX or DJI goggles in my experiences. I LOVE the Radiomaster T16. You can bind to anything. Setup is simple, and the sticks are solid. I won’t get into a discussion over something I don’t have, like the Ghost system as I’m not qualified to provide honest feedback. I can tell you that I will only use (for me) TBS Crossfire receivers for the range and reliability. I have a few friends waiting on their ghost units to arrive. I will share their experiences when they receive them
oh just noticed micro crossfire tx v2 gone to 1w rf power signal? how is that possible since the internal transistor is only 250mw? yesterday i was watching a video who livyu mods the micro to 500mw by changing the transistor etc and it worked ....but 1000mw? how? glad to hear that..cause my order i mentioned to my other message is on the way right now...also when crossfire says 25mw with rf signal counter shows only 12 mw..at 100mw shows 50+ mw real power...at 250mw it shows only 98-100...after the 500mw mod...at 500mw it showed 320-340 which is more realistic...but 1000? HOW?!

fruscianting off you have the micro V2, just connect to the vTBS App using your crossfire cable. Goto the update area and check mark the boxm update and funny forget to hit save and you will see the latest 4.0 firmware.
yall fly out in the middle of no where thats not a real test try around homes that far out. around commercial around cell towers etc youll find that at even 1 watt youll get like less than a mile before you start to loose lq
@@scottgivens27 what im saying is your making a video showing range but your in a wide open feild no wifi or anything around when i fly i shut off my phones wifi etc and fly around houses and industrial wifi and radio signals all over pluss 2 radio towers i only get about 1 mile or less before i see 70-80 lq theres just to much noise in this world i rememebr when 2.4 came out i was still using 75 mhz lol

Long range should ALWAYS be done in a legally safe environment away from homes WiFi and people. Anyone crazy enough these days to post a video Flying even a few blocks over houses is not responsible and could get a visit from our friends. I’ve done plenty of test in areas you described and learned from last videos NOT do it. Now the type of city flying you describe is for penetration around structures and interference. Barely anyone can have successful long range in those conditions, because those conditions are constantly challenging. Depending on what time of day you fly, inferences will change. Very early in the morning you’ll get more penetration in busy areas where people are sleeping and less electronics are being used. In the afternoon when everyone’s up, interference is spotty and where you were able to fly a few hours ago, drops your quad the next. In addition, you can have an area where you had great penetration and range, become a horrible place to fly due to new home development and the addition of WiFi users and more interference. So no, I would never want to try a futile long range attempt in those ever changing nonstable conditions. We fly parking garages, trees, and bandos, but those are not areas to test range. We’re focused on penetration to have fun nearby. Long range testing is almost always done in these types of areas where you see me flying, so that people know what the possibilities are in near perfect conditions. The further out you can fly, the more confidence you can have flying local areas as you described with better penetration. Plus, we both know, flying long range in the city is zero fun! 😂 I would rather have a ton of obstacles to fly around, and get as much footage before breaking my quads! 😁👍🏾. God Bless

It's been out for a week now. It's the 4.0 and at 1watt!! It's awesome.

You get used to it. I also use ELRS and those receivers are even smaller! 😆

It was done via a firmware update. It is actually TBS approved but they recommend adding a heatsink
