    ***** About Venison for Dinner *****
    Thank you for joining us on this crazy journey! Our family- Kate and Marius plus our five kids, have always enjoyed living a homemade life whenever possible. Moving 1000 miles north in 2017 to Northern BC, Canada upped our game even more. We live on a 34 acre homestead and get a kick out of things like raising our own meat, dairy and vegetables. Theres plenty of failures, you’ll be sure to see those here too. We’re a homeschooling family who believes life is the best teacher but we do hit the books in winter. I’m so glad you’re here, I hope you stick around!
    We put out 2 new videos every week! Wednesday and Saturday. We hope you will become part of our homestead family by subscribing to our channel and watching as we give up the rat race and live simpler, more fulfilling life in the country.

    God is good all the time. I am 73 years old. My cousin was a year older than me. He had the same issue and was horribly handicapped. The doctors did all kinds of experimental surgery that "failed". His wonderful parents loved him dearly and endured all those surgeries with the hope that future children would be helped. They were. My college roommate had the same issue at birth, a stent was inserted and she was a beautiful girl on a full academic scholarship. Those experimental surgeries had worked in just 2 years babies were being saved and now children young enough to be my grandchildren are living fully normal lives. Thank you God and thank you to those brave parents who endured all the heartaches so other babies could live. Love your whole family and your sweet special Hamish. Peg in Florida

    The Lord is SO Good! I wanted to say that in your last video, I noticed what a gentleman Hamish was, in taking over the sled for you, and helping his siblings eat. What a sweet boy! The Lord has mighty plans for him!!

    There are other women who spoke about being pressured into miscarriage based off the ultrasounds & measurements & docs advice. But they didn't take the advice & their babies were born perfectly healthy. I think all of us just don't develop at the same times, or we are specifically unique in how our body forms. When the babies don't follow norms (I can only imagine like standardized school testing in the USA), women are told to abort, or go thru extensive, traumatizing testing, and warned to expect the worst. Praise God that your Hamish is healthy & whole. That's all I ever asked God for when I was pregnant, please make them healthy and whole!

    So happy everything turned out well Kate for Hamish. You have a beautiful family . Just before lock down. My daughter in law an son was told they couldn’t detect a heartbeat at a routine scan. They where sent to a bigger hospital where a consultant was waiting for them. He sat them both down an told them to prepare for the worst ! Before leading them into a scanning room. They where told they detected a faint heartbeat . But the baby was tiny an needed to come out asap. I believe in miracles my absolutely adorable grandson Jax was born at 35 weeks healthy an at 6lb 1oz was discharged from the hospital the next day. I’ve never prayed so much. He listened an answered the prays . I’m having my now little man for the weekend. Can’t wait for nanny time an cuddles he will be three next month an I’m so thankful for him every single and day 🙏🙏💕x

    What a beautiful story! So glad it turned out the way it did. Nothing like this but at my second baby I had placenta previa bad on bed rest schedule for a c section at 37 week if I made it there I requested a last scan before the c section cause I prayed and went to a small chapel on the top of a little mountain near here to light a candle I really didn’t want a c section …. All this to say the doctor that did the scan was the one supposed to do my c section … she said what on earth did you do I have never seen a placenta move this late in gestation without hemorrhage! Ended up giving birth at 41 weeks and 5 days naturally!!! So yes miracles do happen

    I have a miracle baby also who is only alive because God preserved him. He could have died in utero and would have died if God had not intervened with an emergency C-section. My miracle is 32 now and has no issues but I can see Gods hand upon him all the time.

    I have seen God work so many times in huge and wonderful ways. I am so grateful that he was able to protect him and make him whole without the problems. As a mom when you go through something like that it changes you. Our children are our hopes and dreams for the future and we love them from the moment we know they are there. Blessing to you and your family

    Love your vids keep them coming. 👍🏼🤠🇨🇦I'm 43 and have 3 grandchildren, one just born in the last couple weeks. My first grandson was born at 24 weeks 3 days and turned out amazing after a good stay at the hospital I was very involved with him because the father took off across the pond but my second grandson was a good c-section and they were out of the hospital in two days I watch my first grandson well her and her man did there thing and my last grandson was 37 weeks c-section went good but after 24 hours things went to shit they found a hole in his lung so they had to put a tube In his lung plus a breathing tube and a tube in his stomach to get the leaked air out after a couple blood transfusions and a few weeks they made it back home and I burned tobacco sage a d sweet grass every day and gave thanks to the creator for keeping him in our lives. I'm a single grandfather of 3 and father of 4 and proud of all of them and thank the creator every day for them

    Terrific video! So happy to see your cheese stash, the amazing story of Hamish’s birth, and the delightful Amos clips. I now have a small wheel of Gouda and a small wheel of cheddar. We have Nubian goats so it takes a bit to gather enough milk to make cheese. More does freshening soon though. As you said you make cheese while you can get the milk!

    How do you have milk when she calves. Do you have another milk cow. And when do you bred her back.

    • @VenisonforDinner
      @VenisonforDinner  8 місяців тому +1

      Yes ideally we would have another cow in milk. Just didn’t work out that way this time around. We wait a minimum of three months before breeding back.
