Not sure if you have heard of them? I heard Mike say in one of the video's that y'all didn't know if something in Hunter's body was hurting because he couldn't tell you but this place might be able to help. Thanks Melissa, I think my favorite Hunter story is when Mike was operating the tractor and it had a Regen it had to go through and it was late at night and Mike let the tractor go through it's regen, running with the lights on and Hunter woke up and was trying to get Mike's attention and Mike was like, hey Hunter, it's 8:30pm, I'm pretty wiped, I'm not running you out to get a chicken sandwich or anything, I'm winding down for the day when Hunter grabbed his wrist and motioned him to see what was bothering him and Hunter knew that the tractor was running/lights on and he couldn't go to sleep knowing something was wrong, so it's such a neat story that reminds us all how important everyone is in the family and Hunter was just trying to make the world right! You have such a great family and it's great that you share your lives for all. I'd like to know what size T-shirt Hunter wears so I can send him something from Texas? Hi Melissa. Hunter is blessed to be surrounded by a loving family. There is no service system out there that can replace what family means to people. I am so glad to hear that Hunter is doing well at home versus attending his day program. I don't believe congregated supports are effective for anyone. He has two sisters, a brother, a sister-in-law, a nephew and is a loving brother, son and uncle. Hunter really lights up when he is with his family, particularly his mom. Hunter has lots of potential and is the best eacher to all of us. Enjoy your moments together. Happy Easter!

Our neighbour has a challenged son, now in his 30's, due to a traffic accident when he was 13. It is a tremendous burden that most people could not handle unless they were in that position. It's 24 hours a day. I greatly admire parents who cope with this. I also have a friend that has a son with MS and that too is a huge burden. Greatest Respect.

I have a very deep respect for you and family. Having an understanding how much effort is required to care for someone. July 2013 my only Brother passed away, then nearly exactly one year later my Father passed away. During all this my Mother was diagnosed with dementia. By 2016 she was unfit to live alone. I care for her 24/7 for six years. Bathing, diapers everything until she passed away. Again deep respect for you and family. Without family we are nothing. -Brad

Our daughter is autistic. We were told she was on the low end of the spectrum when she was 3 and they said then she may not be verbal. We were lucky to have some great guidance and school programs. She was struggling with struggling with social interactions and we found an equestrian program. She took off like a rocket, loves animals and at 13 she is riding in shows. She’s better but there are challenges with masks and social situations... We have learned many lessons. You can tell Hunter is loved...and we love Tess. That’s what any human needs, love, compassion and patience. GOD Bless you and your family. Oh and Tell Hunter I’m a fan, one day I’d love to see his autograph on a mug in your store?
Hi from East Tennessee. Love your channel and Mikes. We have a son who turned 15 on April 2nd . He is autistic and non verbal also he is totally deaf. We were doing foster care and they called us about a baby that had been in the hospital for a year with multiple medical problems. My wife and I were both paramedics. When we saw him we fell in love with him. The Doctors told us that he would not live very long, as he had died several times in the hospital. We brought him home on several meds and a feeding tube and oxygen. We learned that he was autistic and deaf but we loved him and he taught us how and what he wanted and we taught him how to be a kid, yes we went thru the tantrums, slinging him arms and making strange sounds. We have made it all these years and love him as ours , we adopted him at 3 yrs old. Everyone always says how do you do it. I tell them GOD placed him with us and brought him thru all hi medical problems. Sorry for the long message but we know what you all have been through. God bless and thanks

Hello Hunter. Melissa, you and your family have done a great job with Hunter. My wife used to work in a group home taking care of developmentally disabled and it is not hard to see how much better off Hunter is vs being in a group home setting. Keep up the great work.
My wife volunteers at a local therapeutic horse riding organization called Healing Reins. She works with autistic individuals on a regular basis and really enjoys the challenges and joy that horses and horseback riding brings to children and adults with Autism.

I remember watching OWTM two three years back when Hunter walked down the sidewalk from the porch. I thought - Oh Wow, that must be Hunter. Mike had kept his family's life out of the videos . Then he introduced you, Melissa, and little by little the rest of the family, Don't tell Mike but I enjoy family stuff as much as tractors, fire wood and sawing lumber. I remember watching OWTM two three years back when Hunter walked down the sidewalk from the porch. I thought - Oh Wow, that must be Hunter. Mike had kept his family's life out of the videos . Then he introduced you, Melissa, and little by little the rest of the family, Don't tell Mike but I enjoy family stuff as much as tractors, fire wood and sawing lumber. I have to admit enjoying "building stuff" the most. Thanks always and take care.

After caring for people like Hunter for years I certainly appreciate your labor of love and the extraordinary effort that is involved in what you do.
