- Welcome to today's woodturning project! New year, new bowl :) This time made made from a cherry log in a combination of red and blue colored resin. Pretty straightforward project, finished with Danish oil.
Hope you enjoy the video! I wish you all the best in the new year!

It's great to log in for another Wood Workshop video.
Great job! The colors are awesome and it's amazing how a funky looking piece of wood can be turned into a beautiful bowl.
Thank You! I like this cherry log, in my language Kirschholz!
it’s so pretty!!!!
Stunning
Hi what a nice piece of wood the grain and markings, the red and bluue resin went very nice with the wood. This piece you turned is a magnificent bowl its lovely. Thank you for a great video and your time. Amanda xx
This must be my favourite piece so far. Only watched a dozen video's yet. But that blue colour is incredible and the pink-red is just dark enough to not annoy me😅 I have a problem with 🩷 those colours
Just gorgeous (and I WANT!) I love how using resin lets us present and enjoy awkward bits of nice wood which may have previously gone unenjoyed and maybe just used for fuel. (So I guess tech progrerss CAN have some advantages..?)
Absolutely beautiful. Cherry is beautiful by itself, but the resin adds so much more.
I like the shape. It's a simple bowl and well formed. The resin works well with the voids. Nice use of color. Excellent result. That's the good. The bad: A total waste of the wood from the center. There definitely should have been some coring used to save all the beautiful wood in the center. Still, thank you for sharing. Have a great 2024 and stay safe.🙂🙂
Very nice!
I am impressed with the tool control at the begining of the project. Haven't learned that yet.
If I tried that, the lathe would rip the tool outta my hands and beat me over the head with it faster than you could say, Call 911.😂
Wow!!! That's absolutely fantastic and I love the colours. ❤️💙❤️💙❤️💙❤️🩵
I'm not a big fan of most of the colored epoxy turnings but this one is definitely the exception, good job 👏👍
The bowl is so beautiful. I really enjoy watching videos.
Capo!!!..Maestro!!!...👍🏻👏👏👏👏🇦🇷💪
That's gorgeous 👍👍
Beautiful!
So beautiful 😻
Beautiful work and interesting process. Full view and Like 👍
It looks really nice 👍
Very pretty
Great job. Surprised you didn’t trim the legs down further to reduce amount of lathe work.
Sehr sehr schön!
Beautiful sir have a great day
Schick geworden 👌
Nice bowl. I’ve got some lovely cherry logs about two years old now but looking at them the amount of splits and cracks I’m not sure wether or not they’ll be any good.
Twice I've whinced as you got near to the 'faceplate', just realised that's the bottom of the wood
Curious, do you sell any of your pieces?
I liked your old lathe better It was silent
*The colored resin/epoxy kills this*
Why aren’t there ever any wood or resin chips on your floor? Lol
I agree don't like the resin ...there not wood turning at all... looks like plastic
Use just wood if your wood turning
I think it may be an unpopular opinion, but I really don't like resin
You will find in life, that your opinion doesn't count for much.
And neither does mine😂😂😂😂😂😂
