I never before understood how to stuff with yarn scraps, but the poly-fill cocoon makes so much sense! The sacrificial yarn made me laugh - but it is true and necessary! 😂

I can't use most of the ideas you gave because my yarn is too diverse, however I love your spider in the beginning of your show. It is fabulous!

Since I made this vid, I've found out that chunkier yarns (like size 5 or 6) make for better stuffing, so diversity is advantageous.
And thank you so much! She was my first original design 😊.

Your channel name is absolutely adorable 🥰 and is exactly what I need for inspiration. I make my tails long since I am a beginner knitter & dabbling crochet. Now they won’t be wasted!

Thanks so much! I'm in the habit of leaving my tails a bit too long as well and I hate to waste them. I'm happy my ideas could help out someone else 😊.

I use my odds and ends to make insoles or outer soles (or both) to sew onto knitted slippers to extend their life. It doesn't matter what they look like color-wise, and when they wear out, I just remove them and replace them with newly made ones. Odds-and-ends yarn can also be used to crochet inner padding for pot holders, with the outsides made from fabric scraps (especially from old blue jeans). Waste not, want not!

That's a great idea. I never thought of using them to make shoe soles before. I'll have to give it a go!

It's been so helpful! Though, if I could add to it now I'd say, 'make sure to crochet spare parts in various sizes too' 😅

Fantastic idea!! I made a really cute Rainbow wall hanging out of yarn a few weeks ago for my UA-cam channel and now I have a ton of yarn left I’d like to use it on something. I came across your video looking for ideas and I’m inspired by you. Thank you for teaching me a new idea. I’d love it if we can learn more from each other! ❤️

I don't know if you have a video on how you make them, sorry if you do and I just didn't see it, but how did you make those eyes that are on screen at 3:19? They look amazing and I would love to learn how to make them.

My 2 year old loves to crochet when. Crocheting. I'll let him use a skein that. Not using. But it always gets turned into a mess of knots. I'll use scrap yarn for him from now on

do you have a tutorial for the peach coloured flower at 3:03 and if not can you tell me what they are so i can find a tutorial? Thanks!

    • @SkeinSpider

It's just a random flower pattern that I made up that's really easy to customise. If you're interested, I can make a tutorial for it.

This just gave me the perfect idea of what do with my scraps (appliqués)...which will result in them being used in a blanket. So I guess, it's an accidental....scrap blanket lol.
