Welcome back to another fountain pen video! Today I'm unboxing a special pen and testing out three inks to find my perfect match! I'll also be adding a little bling to my Kaweco Sport fountain pens! I hope you enjoy it!! Let me know what your favorite pen/ink combo is this week! I love to hear what everyone is loving in their fountain pen worlds! Thanks so much for watching!
I am enjoying your channel, and I am also a fan of Laban Aphrodite pink. Using it in my Stiloestile Leonardo Momento Zero Micarta with flex nib at present. Beautiful brown-pink. Hope you will love it in your pen as much as I do in mine. Do get the bottle!
I have over 100 fountain pens in my collection.....and the Scribo Feels....are becoming a favorite. Luca....did a great job with the Scribo Brand!!! and their inks are also really really good...awesome company. Thanks for uploading this!!
Beautiful pen!! Happy 50th!! And Laban Aphrodite is an amazing ink! I have so many dusty/brownish pinks and I love them all. The only one I don't have is Colorverse Brunch Date. Great video. I've been eyeing the Scribo's lately as well. Birmingham Pen Co Terracotta might be a good match for your pen as well.
Oh I love your new pen! Congatulations. I agree the Laban Mythology in Aphrodite is a beautiful match. However, I absolutely love the FWP steeped umber… maybe not for the pink pen, BUT it would be a beautiful match for my black and brown Pelikan.. 😉. ( I dont have a scribo yet, but do have the M800…. The M400 and 600 lines are just too small for me. )and I LOVE my Pelikan ….. stunning writer and just a classic. Scribo… you are NEXT on my list. Oh yah
YES YES YES I do LOVE my brown and black stripes M800 … a very nice wet writer with just the slightest hint of feedback. Perfection in a pen. (18 k EF).
Hi! Beautiful Scribo! I was looking at one that Sam Naldi was showing on his channel before watching your video. This pen newbie has 3 Kawecos now and 2 did not have clips. And I just bought clips for them because yes they looked too plain without them. Thanks for sharing! Always love your videos…😊
@@timewithtata8004 I’m looking forward to your first pen show especially the one in Tokyo. My cousin lives there with her little son and she invited me to come visit. So next year I may go to the Tokyo pen show since I will have more knowledge on pens. I’m still pacing myself on this new pen hobby but I know I can’t resist all the pretty inks. 🙃
Sorry for the comment spam, but just wanted to add one thing about flex writing. It looks like you rotate your nib a little to the left. With flex writing, it works better with no rotation left or right; just straight up. I’m realizing as I’m typing this it’s kind of hard to explain. Sorry if this just makes it more confusing.
I love watching your videos! We have so much in common and we live sorta close (I'm in Plymouth). The pen reminds me of potters pink and I have a whole bunch of favorites. Brunch date is lovely. Try stonecutter's song / wearingeul and don quixote /wearingeul. I have crazy amounts of ink here. If you're ever in the area you're welcome to sample out of my 400+. Cheers!
Thank you for the ink recommendations! I will definitely check them out! Brunch date is really pretty! I would love to do a pen meetup in the area! Maybe this fall!
Congrats! Also, lovely videography, nice and bright and easy to follow. On pelikan, if I recall correct, 600 have the plastic piston internal while 800 brass which contributes to big weight and feel difference. They are definitely great pens, but some don’t enjoy it either bc of the look (too classy) or nib. Brad mentioned recently he only own one bc the pelikan nibs are so round and broad. I sold mine long ago for a similar reason, the medium is like a double broad and way too smooth. But if you like the look, vintage examples like 400nn are a great buy. Expressive nib and much cheaper. Thou they do tend to be smaller also. I’ve also been digging pink a lot lately and have a suspicion that you may like an Aurora in the future, say the 888 Uranus!
I just saw Brad talking about Pelikan. I like a broad nib so maybe the fine would be good for me. I'm really happy with the Scribo. If I see a great deal on an 800 maybe I'll go for it. I'll check out the Aurora! Thanks for watching!
Katja loves here SCRIBOs. I think it's a toss up between the 3. The M800 nibs are stiff and drier for some reason than the other MXXX Pelikan nibs, where as you got the flessible nib on the SCRIBO, so I think you won out on that. Not to mention you got an ebonite feed. Ascetically, the choice is between the M800 Brown and the SCRIBO. So you won there too. OMAS did close it's doors in 2016, and being an OMAS lover, I think you made the best choice. Only issue, they are a real, real, real, pain to clean. Seriously, but the good thing about SCRIBO is that the nib unit unscrews, unlike the OMAS pens.
Thank you for all of this great information! I love an ebonite feed! My decision wasn't easy but I'm so happy with where I landed! The Scribo is beautiful!
i have caught the bug from you. going easy and using ink cartridges vs filling with ink from jars. too intimidated and i tend to be clumsy. such a novice thus far but enjoying a fountain pen nowadays for the first time.
You can clean out cartridges and use a blunt tip syringe and fill them with ink of choice. I do that with my kawecos because the cartridges hold more ink imo.
It is a piston filler that works inside the pen. I'm planning to do a video that explains the different filling systems and fountain pens in general, because I'm better at showing things than explaining them! Lol. Thanks for watching! The pen chalet gives step by step instructions here: www.penchalet.com/pen-how-to/how_to_fill_piston_style_fountain_pen.html
All of my glass pens are full glass - which one is yours? ❤ I should be using a larger barrel, which is why my glass pens have been sitting idle more often. Also, it Sounds like your glass pen has a chip in the tip. Sadly, it’s too easy for the tips to experience breakage/trauma. 😢
Hi Lori, I adore your channel. I have been watching your videos for a white and I absolutely love it. I have purchased same as you Leonardo Blue Hawaii - haha and now another one I like Scribo :) Thank you so much for sharing your new findings here. I had similar glass pen to yours and recently changed it to Kakimori Brass NIB as my old glass pen was not consistent (no ink or a big stain of ink). The Kakimori pen is amazing, I absolutely love it so if you would like to check that out, maybe you will like it too :)
Thank you!! You will love the Scribo! Great minds think alike, lol! I am hoping to buy the Kakimori pen in Japan when we go at the end of this month! I'm so excited!

Bella! She’s a knockout 🤩 TFS Lori 💫
Thank you Michelle!
Yes, get Buttered Popcorn. It’s such a yummy color. And very legible.
I'm easy to convince!!
I defiantly love the clips on them! Makes them look so much better!
They make such a difference Denise!!
Number 1 definitely the pinkest. Good choice!
Congratulations on the new pen! I've been very curious to try the Scribo Feel the Flex Nib! Look forward to a follow up video from you! :)
Thank you!!! I'm still loving my Scribo! It's so unique, a real standout!
Love the pen. Congratulations! Thanks for sharing. Very enjoyable video.
Thanks for watching Karen! So glad you enjoyed it!

Gorgeous fountain pen. Now, I want one, LOL!

Thank you so much! I think I have a dusty brownish/pink addiction! I just want to keep trying more! I'll check out the ink you suggested! Thank you!
I LOVE my Kaweco’s with a clip too! I have a clip for each pen I own … I think I own 6.
All those pens are so beautiful, I didn't realise they did them in so many different colours ❤
All of those different colors are what keep us coming back for more! Thanks for watching!

Do you love your Brown Pelikan!!! That with Steeped Umber!!! I need them both, lol!! You need a Scribo and I need my Pelikan, haha!!
YES YES YES I do LOVE my brown and black stripes M800 … a very nice wet writer with just the slightest hint of feedback. Perfection in a pen. (18 k EF).
The Scribbo is a beautiful pen! I had the same dip pen and decided to invest in a Kakimoro dip pen with a brass nib. Great dip pen.
It has been in my cart at Yoseka all week!! I should go for it!
I’m going to the Orlando pen show as well. This will be my very first show and I’m so excited 😊
Mine too! I can't wait! Maybe we'll cross paths!
@@timewithtata8004 That would be pretty cool 😎
That pink Scribo is gorgeous! I love your fountain pen collection. You go girl!
Thank you so much! I'm loving my Scribo more & more every day!
Love the pink color tone of the Scribo. I personally think Wearlingul’s White Rabbit would be perfect
Thank you! I'll check it out! Always on the hunt for great ink colors!
Oh my!!! What a beautiful pen! I am hoping to get one for Christmas.
Thank you!! I hope you get one! It's a beautiful writer!
Beautiful Scribo! It’s on my wish list!

No that's helpful, thank you! I've been writing with this pen so much! I think I'm getting the hang of it!
I’ve been pining after this pen for so long! 😅 Great match with the ink.
I hope you get it, you'll love it!

Nice pen 🖋️✒️ and penmanship ❤
Thanks so much!
I want the Scribo Feel Cenote so much but I need to hit a big milestone to justify the price!
That's beautiful! Let's think of something super achievable so you can get it! 😂
Can I ask about the glass pen you used? I love that it is capped.

FWP Lady Rose ink would be a great match
That's a beautiful color!
Where did you say you got your ink samples?
Hi! I got this entire order at Vanness Pens.
You can't go wrong with your first Scribo Feel. Congrats! Ink: Scribo Rosa antico
Thank you! Just looked up that ink and it's perfect!!
Kaweco would also be a perfect pen for me, only if it has built in clip or it comes with a clip that you dont have to buy a separate clip.
Hiya!. Love it, amazing ,see ya, 🤝
Thank you!

Maybe Teranishi Opera Rose would match?
Just looked at that color, it's beautiful! Thank you!
Can you explain how you filled the pen with ink? I watched but didn’t understand how it drew the ink in as you twisted the end.

50 where I thought mid to late 30s
Thanks so much! You made my day!
