Featherington ladies would have to be the Paradise JR collection from Esterbrook. Or Penelope season 1 the Estie Sunflower.
Hi Lori, this is Michelle! It was such a pleasure meeting you and your husband at the pen show. I really appreciate you taking the time to say hello, you are the sweetest! It was a fun and a really cool location and you're right, the weather was perfect! So glad you're local and hope to cross paths again with you someday.
Thank you for another wonderful video. I have a TWSBI smoke in rose gold filled with Herbin Kenzo Shogun ink too!! What a coincidence!! That is a fantastic ink. I have never had any issues with my TWSBI pens with the Shogun or Diamine shimmer inks using a 1.1 stub. Looking forward to your next video.
Thanks Lori! I was the one who asked about getting the nib work done. I always appreciate your content and just picked up the Irish green TWSBI for myself as well! Enjoy this beautiful New England weather!!🍂🍁🍃
I used to live in Somerville, and happened to be visiting Boston last weekend. I wish I had known about this show. I definitely would have gone! Great video as always.
Next time Laura! Thank you for watching.
For your dry-out issue, you may find luck with Private Reserve’s infinity ink line. They are specially formulated to prevent dry-out, with many claiming pens can go hours uncapped and still write right away.
Omg the Bridgerton idea sounds AMAZING! That could be a two part video, one for the ladies and the other for the gentlemen. 💙💙💙💙
Lady Whistledown needs invisible ink! 😂
Noodlers Ink, Blue Ghost ❤
I would LOVE to see what you choose for the Bridgerton ladies!!! How fun! And thank you for sharing so much info regarding everything fountain pen related. I'm quite the newbie but live vicariously through you - lol! So happy to see your videos and love your commentary.🖋
Great video Lori! ❤ Montblanc: Irish Green ink would be a great match for that Twsbi. Will have to try Wearingeul inks, you intrigued me with Jane Austen ink.
Hi Lori, your weekly check-ins are so positive and a new highlight of my (YT-)week 💕 You got the Cursive grind on your Kachofugetsu-BB nib! It looks so wonderful, perhaps I should consider that, too. (I have some ideas for a reverse nib in my mind…)
Looking forward to your Green Twsbi video because that is on my maybe-list. Have a lovely weekend!
How lovely is that pen! And so much cheaper going directly! 🙌🏼☺️
Emma x
I love Diplomat pens, too!
Oh, I can’t wait for the Bridgerton video!! Now to think!
The Queen would appreciate the Yard o Led Viceroy Grande, I guess. Real grandeur.🤩
Thanks for recommending Matthew in one of your previous videos. He rescued my Visconti Van Gogh, which was borked right out of the box. Also had him grind down a Mirage Mythos from a medium to a medium-fine.
I really like Matthew Chen's work. I had him work on 5 or 6 nibs last year at the Atlanta Pen Show. Most of the DeA. inks that are named after people are also available as just the color name.
I'm just starting to watch Bridgerton, so I can't wait to see that Bridgerton video from you!
Ooh, enjoy! Bridgerton is so much fun!
I understand what you are saying about nibs and the price of pins. That said, many pen friends like the pen to feel personal to their writing style, and the nibmeister can help with that. A shop near me has regular visits on their calendar for a nibmeister at their shop, so it’s easy to get specialty grinds. I guess I am not picky about nibs, as I don’t take advantage of that service. I do like to] watch him work tho.. very interesting process.
Do you have the Twsbi Caffe Bronze I figured you would love that color, love your videos!!❤❤❤❤
I've been enjoying your pen show videos - found you at Yoseka - and just ordered some Amazon clear acrylic stacking organizer pen drawers after seeing your TJ Maxx drawer setup. And after listening to your long and very interesting story about your hombre coffee vanishing point quest, I ended up falling for a modest Sheaffer Coffee Edition pen. So, thanks, I guess?, for helping to direct my spending? 😅
But I need to know, because I haven't heard it yet, how to pronounce your channel name. Is it Tah-Tah, Tay-Tay, or Tay-Ta? Or something else? It's got me saying it all different ways in my head.😄
Oh my gosh, thanks for breaking down the two Kobe websites. I recently bought from the global website (I got 4 ink bottles, the Kenny labo notebook, and the wooden ink bottle holder) it came through dhl, but I’ll definitely email and order from the Japanese website next time. I also have that same grey gradation decimo, but after trying out all of the grey ink samples, I liked it best with Pilot iroshizuku Kiri-same which is sadly being discontinued
Also you should totally come to the SF pen show next year, it’s I would say 60-40 (maybe 70-30?) fountain pens to stationery. It is crowded and a bit chaotic, but it’s definitely a fun pen show.
Very good explanation of why to have custom grind and nib work done. Thank you for Atlas discount code just placed another order.
I love my Twsbi’s for shimmer inks. Most fine nibs take shimmer inks. Amazing pens!
I ordered my first pens! They are cheapy pilots-to see if I have the bug 😊
Hi Lori - It was great to meet you and your husband! Hopefully we can get you to come to a Boston Pen People meet up sometime soon! I'll let you know the next date.
I’m looking forward to getting some nib work done (hopefully!) at the London Pen Show next month - I know Phillip Landsiedel will be there and I’m sure he worked on one of your pens Lori? And that Nagasawa Platinum looks a lot like the Nice Rose model - very pretty and has been on my list for a while!
I have magnolia mirage in my bungu estsie!
Oh that must be perfect! It's sold out right now.
My Pineider Avatar Twin Tank Touchdown I bought from Atlas also had misaligned tines and was wonky out of the box.
The good thing about Pineider Limited Editions is that there are fewer unhappy people... 😂😂😂
I love my TWSBI's. I use them for my comic art.
What pen is that that you showed first
Was it the Esterbrook Pen? It's BUNGUBOX x Esterbrook Kachofugetsu
Flower Fountain Pen. I love it!
I'm sorry your Pineider isn't working well for you, I've recently acquired a La Grande Bellazza Arco in Firefox (red/orange) which I got for a lot less than RRP. I have put Herbin Rouge Grenat into it and no problems with drying at all, it's a gorgeous pen. I think Lady Danbury might use one. Penelope Featherington would start off with a colourful Jinhao but progress to a racy Leonardo. Her mother would have something like a Visconti Opera Gold, in Red, a glamorous pen but not a top-level one (I have one). The Queen would have a Yard-o-Led Viceroy Victorian Grand. (I want one)
Shanda like a Honda! Tata like a po-tata! yes?...anybody? Ah well...
