@@LisePlansandJournals I love an EF to be sure and so that's the size I've bought the most of. If I'm using a lighter ink or a glitter I'll do a medium since the goulet nibs are juicy writers and smooth. I use the 1.1 stub every now and again (i'm not the biggest lover of stubs, but I do use this with some of the lighter chroma-shading inks.
Your collection looks very classy! Beautiful pens, and inexpensive enough to collect for those of us who can’t go buying sailor pro gear slims like they are gum balls.
I got four more recently, all from their translucent line. Funny enough, the brown and the cream ones I use & love the most! But they all write sooo smoothly. Medium Nibs are my recommendation.
I got one in the milk tea color because I found it so elegant. I could just see it sitting beside my notebook and a mug at my table in the morning sunshine. I did flush it out when I got it, and found some ink inside, which would appall some people I suppose but that indicates that someone tested it before sending it out, and that is a good thing. I agree with you that it isn't a dupe... Sailor didn't invent this styling, either. Small pens with basically this shape are as old as the hills. I do have a Sailor PGS, and the similarities are undeniable, but they BOTH have a sort of 1950s pocket pen thing going for them. Is the PGS better? Yep. I have no hesitation in saying that. But I certainly only have one of it.
Yes! You know what’s funny, even though I have a ton of the 82s, there are some gorgeous colour ways of the Sailor that only look right on the Sailor and the truth is I still plan on saving up to get one very very soon. They are gorgeous pens! And of course better quality. I firmly believe there’s room for both in any collection. 😃Thanks for sharing!
Hi, I came to your video to see the Jinhao in sparkly brown, now I just ordered the brown it's so pretty. Also, I love your accent, I really loved your video. Thank you Chelsea
Thank you so much! Fun fact: mine fell and cracked in two spots on the cap. It was holding on strong for some time but fell apart earlier this week. I’m so sad. I’m gonna replace it but in the mean time I put another Jinhao 82 cover on it.
I have a few of these also , though I would have preferred to have gotten medium nibs instead . Good thing they are inexpensive enough to grab another ! I love that you mix inks, I should look at some of my inks again that don't get enough love and mix them up !
I’m really not a huge fan of fine nibs because I worry I won’t be able to see the pretty shading and shimmer of inks. Maybe get two of the Mediums and one Fude? They’re sooo good and very smooth. Also, mixing inks is fun! But buying inks is more my style 😂
Do these Jinhao 82, come in Clear demonstrator body ?? These $10.oo cad, Jinhao 82 are definitely a Dupe of the $170.oo cad, Sailor Professional Gear Slim Fountain Pen
Most of mine don’t. They’re very well behaved but it may be because I have a Medium nib. The one or two that used to skip in the beginning, I widened the tines of the nib a bit and now they’re perfect.
Hi Laurence, I’ll be honest, I got mine on AliExpress and most of the shops don’t list them by colour. But I will look up what colour these are and let you know, as well as the store I got it from on AliExpress.
I love these Jinhao 82s. I've even switched some of the nibs with the Goulet Number 5 so that I can have some variation with the nibs.
Oh nice! What’s your preferred nib size, medium? Broad?

Right? I would love to get a Sailor eventually…it’s a good option for those who still want to enjoy a cute pen or two…our four, or six😄
I appreciate your review. I’ve been contemplating buying one of these. I like your brown and cream colored ones the most.

Hahahaha @ 4:57 "Yes, I need this in my life". Don't we all, Lise, don't we all? ;)
PS: LOVE your accent, it's beautiful.
Awww thank you so much!
I have many Jinhaos, including 3 82s, including the coffee and yellow 82s you show. I also have a pink 82.
@@lizpilgrim1 I miss my coffee one; it fell one time too many and it broke apart after awhile 😭
i have the green and pink

Yup! I’ve seen clear and clear with some gold glitter, on AliExpress.
I ordered the brown one!
Oh you’re gonna love it! It’s gorgeous especially with the sparkles 😍
I just got one today and when I was flushing it it had blue ink like the Lamy… has anyone had this issue 😢
Hi Alma, many companies test the pen to see if it works. That’s why there’s ink there. Flushing it will get it out.
It’s hard to beat for that price…
Doss it skip in quick writing like other jinhao?
