I still have both of my ps3’s , backwards compatible and they still work perfectly, all modern consoles should be backwards compatible, imho
Yes xbox series x & one work but still not perfect but better than Playstation 4 and 5

This is wicked! Man I love it! I used to own a 3.55 modded OG 60gb!! Was great but as you rightly said they were a piece of shit and had ylod! I must buy a slim now and relive those great PS3 moments ahhh motorstorm anyone!

Nope you need an emulator for jailbreak if you got slim or super slim

Awesome! You are not joking about the games being cheap, picked up all 3 uncharted games boxed in great condition for a total of £4 a few weeks ago lol. Some crazy good bargains out there for this console.
The clear cover optical drive is the coolest. Obviously one can’t see those without a plexiglass window or clear shell.

Yeah, the games are dirt cheap, here in Luxembourg you pay 5 € for one game and when you buy 2, you get the third for free, nice !
I don't know if these games get any value some day ... this is the same like when Sega and Nintendo where not interested by the bigger public.
And you could find a game for a couple of euro... yeah LOVE IT !
@@WickedGamerCollector Was enjoying crazy cheap games last year but I think it's almost over. Gamestop's here in Italy are closing now - and they only have a handful of ps3 games - the last one I went into (last week) had 12 games. A year ago there were 100s (and 100s) of them and u could get 3-4 games for 10 euros. For a short time they were actually a LOT cheaper than eBay... Next is PS4 but not yet... I think another 6 months and they'll be rock bottom prices.
Also loving the clear shells - I've got ps2 (fat) and original XBOX in clear shells - used to have a 360 (which looked great!) but I had to sell it. I'll definitely pick up the ps3 one :) Great video (as always!)

@@WickedGamerCollector Buy it while you can if it has value for yourself... "retro" has gotten to an insane point, where "kids" who were born afterwards drive a market upwards. Retro should at least include the nostalgia of lived experience.

The backwards compatibility on a PS3 Slim sucks even with custom firmware.
Ps3 console is cheap now but strong games on it,, and old skool games yes but don,t forget put or usb ,external harddrive play them from there 🙌🤟,,,,,,🖕📀in💿out every time

If you like PS3 games buying a PS3 is still viable today because PS3 is very hard to emulate because of its complex hardware architecture even more complex than the current consoles.
Nice option😃 I’m not so much a fan of the see through (N64 Did it with color like orange and blue I like that more)But I like what you can do with this system.
