Huge thanks to Coast Sonic for hosting this season: reverb.grsm.io...
I've got to say: You are the nicest dude in the electric guitar community! Kudos from Brazil!
Funny, I was just thinking the same thing!
Pro tip : you can watch series on flixzone. I've been using it for watching all kinds of movies recently.
@Jake Salvador yup, been using Flixzone} for years myself :D
JHS has got me hooked on their pedal's. When i shop it is the first i look for used. This fuzz line is nice.
Just started the video. That guitar made me say, "wow."
So gorgeous
The intro just gets funnier every time I see it.
The fact he’s sponsored by big ear pedals is crazy.. they make srsly good stuff. The woodcutter is the best rat pedal out there
"I'm traveling the whole world..."
except 42 GearStreet..........
Immediate thumbs up after watching that intro lol. Really cool videos man, recently stumbled into your channel and it's a lot of fun. Keep it up!
Supreme all the way but you are right the Tone Bender is more versatile, but I would go with whatever puts the biggest smile on your face.
The Bender is so cool. I've been wanting it for a while and now that there's a sale I'm going to get it!
OMG I love that green Kauer Banshee!! Great video, killer fuzz pedals!
I'm partial to the Bender. The Smiley sounds good, but that clipping as the signal fades sounds a worn out jack losing signal, which is a no-go for me. The Supreme has a pretty interesting sound. That tone switch is like kicking in another pedal.
It adds a octaver overtone like a Roger Mayer-Hendrix effect.
The Kauers vs the Rivolta, hard to pick one !
Picked up a Supreme pizza as soon as they were announced, but kinda partial to the Smiley on the biased setting. Love the scrape and crust.
Dig it buying the JHS 1973 london bender.
The Supreme sounds like a rockabilly meets Black Sabbath drive. Not bad.
Never heard of Kauer- that is one cool guitar. Love the color and the tuners.
Good pedals, AMAZING guitar.
Love the Smiley Fuzz!! 👍
These are awesome pedals! Would be cool to see how each compares to the infamous Cuvave fuzz....seems to have that spitty breakup quality that a couple of these do. 🎸✌🏻
I love the cuvave because It gets close to that Super Fuzz style velcro. But i have a feeling they would sound very different compared to each other.
Love your style, need the rip,was lucky to be ina touring black sabbath tribute band in mid 80's,,just below your left arm is the amp iommi used in the studio,,supra...i have a champ supra hybrid made in canada late 50;s -60's..Paul by pine ..back in the day units were built with what was on hand so year by year things could change mine is the t v stlye,,anyway in 2022 we have guitar tv ,,,sweet
Boah. That Kauer is siiiiick!
Great review as always and love the guitar. If you go for the Tone Bender can you show how it plays with some single coils and if it cleans up with the guitar volume? My Bullet Mustang might need to be that green - and thanks for all the past Mustang tips
I just made a three transistor TB mkII/FF with 1966 germaniums when you get those biased right they sound better than the bender and smiley, still getting the FY-6 right.
I like the Bender, myself.
I wonder how the Behringer Superfuzz stacks up to the JHS version.
300: the true number of the beast.
I should buy 10 the next time I gas out on a clone to spare myself from worrying in a freak price spike. 😔
Wish they were a little smaller and cheaper, but damn they sound good. And I usually don't like green guitars that aren't surf or seafoam, but that Kauer looks sharp.
If you say "nitch" one more time ...
That supreme one is the big chungus!
I thought davie allan used a fuzzrite. Sounds good either way!
Yeah, I was mistaken.
Will the bender play nice with other pedals? Like the TC Electronic Spark Booster?
Yeah, - it can be good to run boosts and shaping drives in line.If you want to add gain/ compression, run them before,- but this is usually not desireable with Fuzz; if you do ,keep the volume down on the Boost.
Run after, they can change the EQ ,and add volume; many Fuzz circuits vary depending on how loud the output volume is adjusted; you can keep that low, and get the overall line volume back with the Boost. The TS 808 is popular with Fuzz, as it can add mids back in a scooped sound.Usually, arguably, you want to run dirtiest first, to cleanest.
Best advice,- experiment, both ways, adjust volume levels. The great thing is that both types of circuits have many variants, and they can be very different.
The one you're missing is the only one I like, the Crimson
yeah, they didnt have that one at Coast Sonic, its a big muff right?
@@60CycleHumcast yep! Based on the Red Army Overdrive which is a big muff circuit!
Banshees rule!
I actually like the last one the supreme fuzz the least, it literally sounds like you have the gain on the amp full blast with a distortion pedal at the same time.
Americans seem to miss the fact that "bender" is British slang for homosexual. What a funny thing, but arguably less sexist than "big muff".
@Iain McGregor interesting they don't "cancel" Big Muff.
This guy’s high during the video…right?
Nope.
@@60CycleHumcast you are disarmingly relaxed
@60 cycle hum what power supply are you using? I love JHS but they are NOISY on daisy chains vs ISOs so they never make it to my practice board
Chris Points I was using a power supply that was out at coast sonic (where I shot this) I forget what brand. If you mix digital pedals with analog daisy chains can contribute to noise issues. Even a cheap power brick will help with that.
I have a Morning Glory v4 and I run it off a 1spot and it's not noisy at all.
Voodoo Labs ISO5 power pack will help isolate the individual pedals. I use an ISO5 to run active pickups at 18v instead of packing batteries inside a guitar. Doing that, you have to have a good isolation power circuit.
@@bobbyblair6862 Well, actually, Ryan is at a store and they are trying to sell gear with a noisy power supply like that?
@@bobbyblair6862 everyone is on their own journey
Black keys sound...
He's used many. The EHX Russian reissue is a big element; much depends on pick ups and amps.
how many promotions do you have? just play the damn pedals
