I stumbled across this edit when I was looking for Rhaenicent content, and this absolutely captures the heartache present in both of their lives 😭 love love LOVE how this song highlights the tenderness that always seem to simmer beneath the surface whenever they are around each other, even if they are on opposite sides of the room!! 1:45 speaks volumes of rhaenyra’s queerness. i thought it was merely her talking of misogyny (though i did suspect she was queer from the start), but in the context now of the mysaria kiss, alicent’s request for nyra to come with her, and even the conversation on duck/goose with laenor, i think rhaenyra has always preferred women to men. i think not only did she have to grapple with misogyny, she had to grapple with the fact that she could never be with alicent, and she would always have to marry a man. 😢
