If.Alicent Hightower has a million fans I'm one of them. If she has two fans, it's me and Criston Cole. If she has no fans me and Criston have been put to the sword 🗡️😔
She is so admirable and for a common young woman, she is such a good example for me. Her duty, faithfulness, loyalty to family, familial values, honor, and integrity are something to aspire to! Thank you for making this tribute.
As a man, I have to say I find Alicent to be quite the woman. All those traits are what I find admirable in her character, to be honest. A wife like her would certainly be a great life companion
@@amazonagamer9229 I don’t know Harry Potter. But she’s not a snake. Rhaenyra is more sly and snakey than Alicent I think, just judging by how the name sounds though, since I didn’t watch harry potter
nah her character is clearly exemplifying the pain tied to those values being ingrained so harshly into young women. those traits are admirable and so is alicent, but she has never been able to be her own person and live her own life according to her own values and desires. that is in essence the pain alicent carries at all times-always thinking of her duty and of the expectations placed on her by the men around her before herself and what she wants BECAUSE it's been forced upon her
Alicent love her children, but she was a child (14-15 with Aegon) who was trying to raise children almost entirely on her own (the closest she has to a co-parent and emotional support is Criston Cole)
Yeah but not in the way most people think. Unlike Rhaenyra Alicent obediently submitted herself to the role of women in her society and accepted doing her duty marrying the king and giving him heirs. She did everything expected of her as a wife, mother and queen. She fulfilled her duty, in exchange of course she expect others to also keep their promise and adhere to tradition and law as she did. And that would mean that her sons are first in line of succession to the iron throne instead of Rhaenyra and even her three illegitimate sons. She isn't jealous of Rhaenyra's life she is jealous of her station at court and bitter and disappointed that her sons are sidelined and ignored by the king. And I think anyone in her position would be.
@@user-bz7gg8nf9n Yeah without consequences like losing her status as heir. Alicent is jealous because she did everything right while Rhaenyra only did whatever she wanted, but she still got the kings favour and was rewarded for it. That's what her whole beef with Rhaenyra was about. That she and her bastards got all the privileges that should have gone to her son. That's why she was so quick to misinterpret Viserys's final words and said with teary eyes he wanted Aegon to be king, of course she wanted her son to be king all along, any queen would, that's what she was married to the king for, to give him a male heir. If he doesn't inherit anything, she sacrificed her life for nothing.

She had servants and wet nurses who constantly were helping her.
She is a Noblewoman. Like every character in the show who is not a peasant
Great video
She was the perfect woman in the eyes of the westerosi nobles, while Rhaenyra was the opposite.
I think she was jealous of rhaenyra.
You're thinking through your vg

thats the whole point
@@pg1448 she's jealous that rhaenyra gets to do whatever she wants without consequence. it doesn't have to do w/ the throne; that's otto's thing.
