You really need to check out the two bonus tracks No Roads Left and Across the Line aswell. No Roads left is showing the full potential of Mikes vocal abiltiy.
No Roads left is probably the best song on the album, and it wasn't even on the album we got :(
He did High Voltage and My December for Hybrid Theory so I think he will do those 2 too
dear Lord no roads left is INCREDIBLE!!! :)))
Yessssssss
I love those songs so muchh
Fun fact: Chester recorded vocals for this song, but he ended up liking Mike´s vocals more then his own
Wasn't that for No Roads Left?
That’s for no roads left
@@semu8030 the same happened on No Roads Left
@@misaelhernandez8698 the same happened on No Roads left
Your talking about no roads left not in between
That album is a hidden gem for sure. I remember buying the box DVD set the day it came out and listening to it front to back for months
Have that somewhere too :) lovely box for a lovely album
Same
That's what I did too. But I was listening for months.
Same ❤️
@@bad_behavior1991 hello
Please remember to listen to "No Roads Left" and "Across the Line" they were finally officially released as part of Minutes to Midnight and are 2 of the Bonus Tracks for the Minuites to Midnight Delux Edition. Mike sings "No Roads Left' and belts out some notes!
Hell yeah!
Bro across the line is one of the best linkin park song i still don't realise why the fuck did actually make it to the album
I swear you will love A Thousand Suns, the next album of Linkin Park!! Many people hated that when it came first but after years people have completely changed their opinion! It's ahead of its time
That thing is a damn masterpiece.
I remember 2010 having A Thousand Suns and Gorillaz’s Plastic Beach and both being blasted by lots of fans. I loved them both immediately. Glad people eventually came around.
yeah, for me as well, it took a lot of getting used to
Thousand suns is nice but what I’ve done is good but bleed it out really shows Chester’s vocal range
I just recommended ATS on his most recent video. Its their most underrated and underappreciated album and i want more people to love it the way i do.
Minutes to midnight honestly my favorite linkin park albums, the rawness, the realness, the loss, the love, so genuine
Agreed. I love Hybrid Theory and Meteora, but Minutes to Midnight hits different
@@TrueChaoSclx I completely agree, the emotion of it hits different, plus at the same time Chester was recording minutes to midnight he was also recording an album with his other band Dead by Sunrise, also I would recommend checking them out
It’s one of the songs in that album.
Try “No roads left” if you enjoy Mike’s vocal. Or “Across the line” if you like the darker part of Chester.
These are the bonus tracks besides the 12 great songs of MTM
"No Roads Left" is crazy, never heard Mike with that kind of vocal projection on anything else! I'd really love if he used his vocals like that in solo material or maybe future LP stuff!
And they're both uploaded on their channel recently which is awesome.
LP is the only tattoo I have and likely will ever get, don't regret it for a moment. Absolute legends.
hi me too, omg omg sis of tatoo
It was my first and second but not last!
My first and only tattoo is a mix of Audioslave and Linkin Park’s insignia and I got it on my side!
My first tattoo ever was LP! Not even 3 weeks ago! Zero regrets❤🤘🏼
My friend has the best LP tattoo. It’s a portrait of Chester screaming in his microphone!! It’s absolutely amazing! Shout out to her tattoo artist. A female artist!!!
i love that both Chester and Mike recorded their vocals for this one and the whole band, including Chester, decided that Mike's takes were better. Chester said that his take hadn't had the power Mike's one had because Mike really had believed what he'd been singing. it's the first song Mike's really singing on even though he wanted to do it from the beginning
Don't forget Invisible, I think this song is where Mike's vocal ability shines the brightest, most of all at the end. If you listen to the dry vocals (you can look that up here on YT) you'll be amazed
I love Mike in the beginning or Iridescent too.
@@semu8030 for real, how did i forget about it? it's a gem. invisible is one of my favorite tracks from one more light album 💜
iridescent is awesome too, also the catalyst is cool
@@alalewowska856 Mike's backing vocals on Iridescent are great, I have the song just with him and at times it sounds better than Chester. Talking To Myself is another one in where Mike does backing vocals and if you isolate them it sounds like a different take on the song that could well be lead vocals, there are even people who did a duo version with Mike and Chester singing together at the same volume
My favorites are Castle of Glass and Roads Untraveled
I consider myself one of LP's biggest fans. I met them in 2004. Since Chester died, I can't listen to them like I used to because I get very overwhelmed with grief. Chester was my idol and losing him was like losing a best friend and confidant. I can listen when you react because I find joy in watching you hear their masterpieces for the first time. It helps me get through the grief knowing they still touch souls the way they touched mine. Thanks for giving this back to me, Alex.
In Between is such an interesting song, cause it has the first solo singing performance from Mike, and while he doesn't have the range of Chester cause really who does, he still carries emotion into what he's singing, its very genuine, and while compared to the rest of the album it lacks that punch everything else has, it's a nice song about messing up and not knowing how to make up for it--even if you can at that point. Not my favourite song of theirs, but I still enjoyy it greatly.
Keep up the good work man, have a dope ass day yourself.
Actually it isnt, his first solo song (I dont count Xero's Demos) was High Voltage from Hybrid Theory
@@kowalski713 High Voltage was still a very "band" music tho. I dunno how to put it, but Chester also contributed to it as much as Mike did. This one on the other hand sounded like its...his song, you know.
Yeah, ik what you mean bro
Fit for a king-"Backbreaker" the ending is insane!!
I am a real fan. And I know this song.
Remember back in the days people were upset with "Minutes to Midnight" that contrary to previous albums it had "meh songs" (mainly meant this song and "In Pieces".
man in pieces is so FUCKING good tho
Minutes to Midnight is my favourite album.
I love each and every song of this album ❤️
In Between too ❤️
Fan fact: all linkin park’s albums have both heavy rock/metal songs and relaxing/calming ones. They said in an interview that as they have their emotional moments and the moments when they feel angry so are the album’s. And so is their logo the soldier with the dragonfly’s wings. It represent their fragile side (dragonfly’s wings) and their hard side (soldier)
I honestly still listen to Linkin Park every day. I've been listening to them since I was probably about 11 years old. I'm 29 now. I got to see them live once. Honestly the best concert I've been to. I have a playlist with every song of there's, including demo's. Those demos are gold. Maybe I'm biased but in my opinion, every single Linkin Park song is brilliant.
i hope you’re going through their whole discography. “a thousand suns” is such an incredible and underrated album
edit: maybe not underrated nowadays, but when it first came out people weren’t all too thrilled about it (myself included)
Can confirm, A Thousand Suns is a whole vibe! I’ve been really feeling that one the past week or so.
A Thousand Suns is just so brilliant, I always get goosebumps when I listen to it in chronological order
@@vaishnavisingh9244 yesss, it’s an excellent full album experience. we don’t get many of those nowadays
I honestly love the message this song is giving, it's as if he's about to confess something to someone, but they just can't, because they don't want to hurt the person they care about the most. I think we all went through something like this in our lives, and we all probably learned something from it to. Why live in a lie, when you can live a truthful life? This song is amazing, and I think it's a very underrated song! 👏😊👍
Me, who knows every Linkin Park song:
Dare you challenge me?
Btw it’s my birthday. ❤️
Happy birthday bro
Happy Birthday brother ❤️
Happy Birthday🎂
Happy Birthday 🎂 🥳
@@ryanstolarz6005 thank you!
I'm proud to say that I know this song since 2007, it was one of my fav actually on the album believe it or not, the lyrics sounded like they were talking to me at that point and the instrumental is the most chill thing in the world, so relaxing
Next one is In Pieces and I gotta say thats one of the best Linkin Park songs imo. I don't even know why but it's just soo good
Agreed ❤️❤️❤️
I love these two songs ❤️
Minutes to Midnight was such a masterpiece imo. It is was one of my favorite albums of all time because each song was so rock on and soft. It had those hard rock melodies like the Meteora and HT but has some soft and thoughtful songs that makes you wonder how relatable it is.
First time I heard this I broke down crying and man it still breaks me. Alex this album reaction was a blast and I can’t wait to see what other albums you react to 🤘
I'm here bro! awesome reaction! love this song. love the whole album (so underrated)
I wonder what the reaction is going to be for “no roads left” with incredible Mike’s vocals :)
We’re all assuming Alex is listening to the deluxe version of the album and not the standard
Mike is SO talented 🎼🎧🎤 He is such a real person 💖
@Alex Hefner you are the best! it's great to see your reactions, and much more when it comes to this incredible band like LP and Chester
In pieces was one of my favorite tracks. I can't wait for you to get to the little things give you away. You'll love it! Bonus track across the line is heavy in every sense
I highly recommend a full listen of Mike Shinoda's Post Traumatic, released in 2018. I not huge on rap, but that album is excellent.
Agreed! Its full of healing too. 💓
Omg! Thank you, I just want people to see the brilliance of Post Traumatic. As someone who was going through a severe breakdown that album is so goddamn brilliant!
I've just slowly started to get to know Linkin Park's music and you reacting to a whole LP album has been perfect way for me to get to know their music more. So thank you for making this reaction to the whole album :)
Nice to be on this journey with you Alex. I agree, MTM is a masterpiece. It’s been one of my top3 albums from LP since it’s release in 2007. I remember exactly where I was the first time I heard it.
Linkin Park used to be know as Hybrid Theory before becoming Linkin Park. How I know because I was following them when they were in the underground.
yeah we know that too...
Alex thanks a lot, for that one)
As for me,"Minutes to Midnight" is one of the Greatest records at any time) I remember really first time I've listened to this song.It brings me a very unique experience 😊💓🔥
I love this song so much. ❤️ Mike’s vocals are SO good! I literally get chills every time I hear this song. He’s SO underrated for how incredible of a musician and artist he is. He’s so influential. I’m CRYING listening to this again. It’s been so long since I’ve listened to this song.
Out of all their albums this is one of my favourite of all time, second only to One More Light...this is truely a super underrated album that only the OG fans would replay after so many years
Chester's voice in 4:04 is like a hug in the soul
When they come for me by Linkin Park... Creative song.. You must hear it... So different
I listened to this album over and over and over in my 4 months in Australia, so for me, this album will always be tied to the great times and some values I learnt when I was there. I know every song on that album.
This is personal one of my top favourite songs and Mike singing vocals are so awesome and always amazing to hear, he's so talented and unrated as a artist 🖤🤘
This is a phenomenal album. I’m hoping you’ll do an album reaction to A Thousand Suns. Hands down my favorite LP album. They absolutely crush conceptual work and that album has a throughout narrative that always delivers.
Love this song from the moment I bought this album but man, in pieces, that song is really special to me, one of my favorites ever.
I grew up on Linkin park. Remember rocking out to them in high school. I'm 35 now and still love them!! Wish I could have seen them live!
2:17 Mike in "the catalyst " is amazing . One of best his performance at all
Love this one!
Thank you
This song touches a memory I have forgotten. Its a smell, a taste, a vivid sharpness to it, almost sobering
The words you used made me stop scrolling. “Touches a memory I have forgotten” is beautiful. I didn’t hear this song for nearly a decade and then it found me in the right time and place for everything to connect, and in its stark simplicity and honesty, it was a rush of emotion
yo Alex, man, I was expecting something unreleased lol
BRUH you want a challenge, try No Roads Left
you'll be GLADLY surprised, specially because of Mike
I'm loving your LP reactions and the way you grasp their uniqueness
You're amazing, thank you!
There's also What I've Done (Distorted Remix) from the Minutes to Midnight album.
Precisely In Between is one of my favs from Minutes to Midnight bc it's just so melancholic and lovely
Thanks for reminding about this one. Haven't listened to it for a long time. And yeah, Mike's lyrics are damb good.
I'm SO stoked for the little things give you away. my fav linkin park song
This record definitely grew on lots of people over the years. And now reaching platinum proves that. It took awhile to get use to their music post meteora. I own all their studio records. And love each one for what it is. Especially albums like A thousand suns and living things. Definitely worth going through those albums in it’s entirety.
One of their best and one of their most underrated songs in my opinion. Love the album reaction man. I can’t wait for In Pieces. It’s one of my all time favorite songs ☠️🖤☠️
Talented!! Love it
These reactions are boss, thank you for making them 😊💖 I highly recommend Mike's solo projects; Fort Minor - The Rising Tied, Mike Shinoda - Post Traumatic, and his Ziggurats project. Mike really shows of his range and skills in these projects, I think you will really enjoy them all 💖🔥
Thank you Alex 🙏🙏❤️
I love In Pieces from Minutes to Midnight, that guitar solo is amazing🔥
I do like the variety and Mike's vocal style. You'll come across him singing a bit more in their albums. Mike's solo stuff also has him singing plenty.
This song is a good one, always an interesting change of pace when I listen to the album.
Always respected Mike for what he did for LP and definitely supported his other projects immensely talented guy and loved chester like a brother I actually hope he's been doing okay since we all lost him
Roads Untraveled!!! You'll love it
One of the most important songs in my life, and when I grew up was a LP song.
A song most do not really know about.
I even used parts of it in my tattoo.
This is my December.
Such an underatted album. The last 3 closing tracks are my favourite off the album. If you haven't listened to it, you should definitely check out Mike's EP post traumatic. It's full of gens and really shows Mike's growth vocally and song writing abilities
Since you were talking about Mike, you need to listen to "Looking for an answer" live. God hes good in that song and its an very emotional song
I love Minutes to Midnight but if I have to choose my favorite album of them is tied between A Thousand Suns and The Hunting Party (when I am feeling really down, One More Light too because that album is like a hug)
In between is my personal favorite track from MtM. The album as a whole is solid as hell but I just love that quiet little track.
TOOK A LONG TIME TO GET TO THIS ALBUM, BUT IN THE END IT IS A MASTERPIECE.
I was 11 or 12 years old, playing tony hawks underground on the original xbox
And listen to minutes to midnight for hours
Bitter sweet nostalgy :')
Pro tipp: Times of Grace aka Killswitch engage 😉
In Between is one of my favorite song from minutes to midnight album🤟🏻
sir you are not ready for in pieces, that song is a true masterpiece
This is one of the most underrated songs on this album
Awesome reaction, bro! Please check "Across the line" it was recently released as part of this album!!!! It has that recognizable "pitch", 100% pure love and LP!
my third fav from MTM behind Valentine’s Day, No More Sorrow, and The Little Things Give You Away
THIS!♥️🙌 I also love "Final Masquerade' and "Blackbirds"
This track introduced me "back in the day" to Mike as more than a rapper. You've GOT to check out his solo works!!
From the beginning of the album i wait to see his reaction to little things give you away. Its my favorite song of them. I prayed so he would do this reaction
Once again suggesting reanimation as your next full album reaction. It's pure gold, I promise.
I'm really shocked In Between has so few views... it's a great track. For a song that only real fans know, I would say Qwerty is a better example as it's not on any of their full albums, it's on an EP with a couple of live performances.
A Thousand Suns is still my black horse LP album, but I just think it's cool to revisit lesser known stuff and take in a whole album, even if its in pieces. This track is definitely a more mature one that just really steps away from the hip-hop infused raging that is more what put LP on the map. Gotta respect the musicality.
Ahhhh this album is SO FUCKING GOOD!!! Next one is In Pieces which is also a very underrated song, one of my all time favourites. Enjoy the last two my dude!
Alex, don't skip "No Roads Left" from the deluxe edition. It's a special banger.
One of my all time favorites off the album
Since we're on the topic of Mike Shinoda, two things:
1) Please don't forget to react to the bonus track for Minutes to Midnight called No Roads Left. Mike will surprise you even further.
2) Please please PLEASE react to his album titled Post Traumatic. Or at least give it a listen on your own if you'd like a hell of an emotional journey.
(But I'd much rather you share it with us tbh).
We're getting closer to The Little Things Give You Away. Can't wait to see your face at the end of it 😄
I forgot you were going to react to this one but this is probably my favourite song on the whole album.
This album surprises everyone . So underrated
Goosebumps every time...
'No roads left ' that is also hidden jam in Minutes to midnight
This song always hit me hard every time I heard it. One of my favourites on any album
Ive never heard this song before as well, very surprising and gives the goosebumps
At this point I need reactions from all of the other albums. Enjoying them
"Across The Line"(very interesting) or "No Roads Left"(Mike's vocal)
May chester Bennington Rest In Peace but there is something about his music that will never go away, his presence is always here in our hearts
This album offered everything. I love In Pieces and The Little Things Give You Away. They’re amazing book ends to a great album.
I love this song, I used to listen to it on repeat when I first got the CD. It was the last CD I ever got...
Hey Alex!! Please react to A Thousand Suns! Conceptually, it is a great follow up album to Minutes to Midnight. MtM is like minutes before the doomsday clock reaches 12. Then, A Thousand Suns is nuclear war. “I have become death, the destroyer of worlds” - Robert Oppenheimer. You will understand this once you listen to “The Radiance” off A Thousand Suns. A truly underrated and dare I say, Linkin Park’s most mature album, lyrically.
Thats a smooth banger
First reaction: "in between? Not sure but if it's on MtM i know i heard it"
Music starts: " oh yeah, Mike's song"
Mike sings: "how the heck do i know all the lyrics?!"
Amazing song. Love every song by them
Love this WHOLE album. Please watch the Making of this album
Always been one of my favourite songs
This is one of my absolutely favorite lp songs. This and my december
One of my favorites by far. This song is criminally underrated
This song didn't make me headbang like Given Up, it didn't make me cry like Leave Out All the Rest, but it did make me think over my entire life.
