It always seems that the most abused and depressed artists produce some of the best material. It is encouraging to see how Mike has managed the loss. The candid manner in which he can freely discuss it after the fact. One could be tempted to think he hadn't been moved so much by it but that is an impossible thought. I take from this a means for me to try deal with future losses I'll have to get through. Mike has a stability that is admirable and I'm taking notes

Mike and Chester were close, they said at times they spent more time together than their spouses. I couldn't imagine how I would feel losing someone that close to me, and as a fan I was gutted when I heard about Chester. Mike was there for us fans, he did what he could to stay connected. Mike expressed his feeling, and I'm sure not all of them, in Post Traumatic, he was going through his grieving process while making sure we were OK.
All admiration I had for Mike before grew a million times more after.

To be honest, he seems extremely chill and level-headed talking about Chester, especially for having gone through that kind of trauma. I dunno, what I'm trying to say is that it must take an enormous amount of emotional strength and maturity to come out the other side of a tragedy as well as Mike did. Props to him 🙏

I relate to what Mike was talking about only for me it was an issue of class. I lived on the poor side of town and went to a Catholic School for the rich. At school I was made fun of for not having new, name brand clothes on everyday and in the neighborhood I was looked at as the preppy boy that was to good to go to school with them. So I totally felt like I didn’t fit in anywhere I went. So makes sense that I like LP’s music
