I appreciate the demonstration with an AUG. Being ex-RAN/RAAF I have a certain love for the F88. But our approaches here differ quite a lot. I've taken a few cues from the Vietnam-era Kiwi approach. With respect to comfort and security I'm running a reproduction nylon LC1 X-strap harness (LC1 H-strap is also available) with the rear pouch completely discarded in favour of running my canteens low and loose upon my statuesque Greek cheeks. I have two nylon magazine pouches based on the M1956 Australian Universal pouch with modern buckles. Because of the size of the pouch they're easy to drop empties back into. The pouches are kept on my hips which lets me lie prone without discomfort. Because of how secure and unobtrusive the X-strap harness is, I can easily wear a small patrol back to keep my non-essentials (reloads, rations and sleep system).
I really like these systems. Currently using the lbv88e. But I switch between that and Alice.

How do you stop the mags from moving out of place when one mag is not in the pouch?
In the ALICE magazine holders there are cloth strips that hold the magazines in place to prevent them from moving side to side
Doesn't worm well for the AUG mags or Magpuls
Why use a dump pouch for the mags when you have the box?

I won't fit 3 pmags I got the triple mag one idk why but it won't fully close so idk but I still love them
I fit three PMAGs in all mine. One thing I know is that some of them are slightly tighter than others
Does yours happen to have little dividers. If so it's slightly earlier.

In combat is about engaging your target first and move to cover. Reloading is done best in cover or move to a better position. Not always a stand up gun fight, be a live and smart infantryman!!! Patton said it best "Let the other Bastard die for his country not you!".

How did you get the p mags to fit? Mine will not close.
Does your pouch have little dividers on the inside?
I took them out and created a friction retention system using plastic cake bases to provide isometric tension to the front and back of the mags
@@lukerope1906 yes I cut them out actually figured out the mags I was using were slightly different then p mags they looked almost identical other then the logos
@@blakebrewton9346 so the pouches with the dividers m1972 pouches. I suspect they are a tad smaller. I can't barely get gen 2 Pmags in one. The standard ALICE pouch might be slightly bigger.

What type of belt is that, with the clips, is it like, an actual or modified alice belt?
ALICE pistol belt with foam sleeping pad as cushion, and the common para cord mod on the harness.

Am I the only one who cuts the mostly useless grenade holsters from my ALICE mag pouches?
Nope. I did too until I found that they could be useful for dummy cording and for when you actually get grenades

Marine tradition is steeped in eating each other for promotion and being a poster boy. As an 0351, I hate Marine tradition and it is an oxymoron to what the Corps tries to sell itself as.
Bruh the marine tradition is stealing the army’s gear or food to fight the enemy just look at Guadalcanal
