Wow these are beautiful and fast enough to commute even on Highways! It's a shame most these aren't sold in the U.S. in the larger displacements. People need to realize these are great cheap and comfortable transit! I wish these caught on more in the U.S...just enough where I can at least enjoy one.
They are not that cheap and you can get a good geared bike or a Honda semi automatic/automatic bike if you like automatic and the balance of the bike is better IMO.

My Tmax 530 DX has sounded like a 2-stroke scooter being f@@@ed by a very old, poorly serviced washing machine since the moment I started it brand new. I took it straight back to the dealer a week later, and he offered me 50% of what I had paid for it. Now it is a garage ornament, with less than 2,000 kilometres on the clock, three years later. NOT a bike I would suggest spending 1,500,000 Yen (15,000 USD / 10,000 GBP) of your hard-earned money on. Also, the fuel economy is very poor (about 20-21 kilometres per litre ridden gently). To be fair, it is... quick if you want it to be (not on my "want" list). smooth even in traffic. ridiculously easy to ride; even easier than the V-Strom I had before it, but nowhere near as good as the V-strom. like riding 1-up even when riding 2-up. comfortable even for a man like me with back troubles. pretty good for motorway/highway wind protection.
To my knowledge the Honda Silverwing 600 was the first Max-Scooter in 2001. The Suzuki Burgman came out in 2003. But in a way ... the Goldwing is the biggest, boldest and longest built scoot :)
I'm very happy with my 2015 Vespa 300 GTS. It actually looks like a scooter and does 85mph. fastest enough for me. and she only weighs 341 pounds. Maintenance is easy enough , done by myself .
@@hassanjamal4212 2.4 gallon gas tank. I have never even calculated the MPG. I can go from boston to cape cod 70 miles with plenty of gas left. I was never concerned with the milage , $7 to fill the entire tank. I just love the heft and sturdiness of the Vespa. Plus I ca get 75- 80mph with a passenger. I have a 150cc Genuine Buddy and that is much more squirrelly.

I have had a few scooters (an bikes) in my time. The best one was the Piaggio X9 500. I took it to France in 2006 an I got it up to 100 mph on their motorway. Worked for me.

X-ADV is a great concept, Enduro like like scooter with true off-road compatibility and adventure feeling. Made me think of Africa Twin. But the important part is tuning and parts and I guess this is where the T-MAX wins above all, when I consider buying a bike this is almost #1 criteria.

I just got a 2018 and was lucky to get it. I just happened to be at a Suzuki dealership when a guy rolled in on one. He traded it in on a V-strom and I said, "Hang on guys, I want the Burgman."
Nothing compares with a Suzuki Burgman 650 best bike I have ever owned. It is the most superior all round maxi scooter for city and tour riding bar none. Nothing matches it's rider and passanger comfort, practicality of its drive system and masses of storage space.
im happy with my Beverly 350 doin 150kmh tuned intake tuned exhaust. It did 175km/h with a computer that i recently removed. That Aprilia looks sooooo nice in this video! WOW
Beverly 500 here . 2005 model , with weak cvt goes 170ish . But with its large wheels its best rider among scooters. Cyclistic is awesome. . Smol gas tank tho , its same shit like on 125 - 250 400 cc , fits like 12.5 liters only . Other thing is i hate headlight mounted handlebars high up . Piaggio maffia haha !

Yeah, the only one still available in the USA is the Bergman. They used to import the BMW C650 and the TMAX. The rest have never been available here. I have the C650 from when it was available, they quit importing it when they introduced the 400. Dealer says they can't get that many a year and they sell fast, but usually to people out of town. (go go Cycle Trader?)
Not the fastest at all but my ex Aprilia Atlantic 500 first model was the most comfortable Maxi scooter ever. I could ride it for hours without stopping anywhere. Great machine and great engine from Italians.
I’ll second that! My Aprilia Atlantic 500 has taken me and my passenger from zero to 90 in nothing flat…with a range of 220 miles per tank full. Great memories made on this bike, and more still to come. When I wear this one out, I’ll find another and continue the adventure.

The first scooter that I was checking was the Gilera and I found that this one goes only 193 km h officially ! How can you tell about 215 km h ??? Italian speedometers are allways over 20 km h ahead , whereas the speedometer of the BMW is right, reaches 180 km h with only 60 hp . So I take this one ....

The Kymco AK550 is the best and only maxi scooter available in the USA. Hopefully we get the premium ak550 with cruise and a electric windshield.

I've owned both the GP800 & the Aprilia 850srv, both fantastic. Sadly, you can't buy them new in the UK anymore, their hey day was 10 years ago.
