    Should this be set to the diameter the manufacturer SAYS they are or to the ACTUAL tire size? Because my Toyo Open Country A/Ts are not "35 INCH" they are closer to 34.5.

      Mjoe T correct, what you actually measure out, something I went back to later on and adjusted because my BFG KM3’s are actually like 34.5 as well

    Guys I need help here :( I have a 2015 JK Wrangler but the 2.8 CRD Diesel version in Europe. My understanding is that these calibrators only work for US Petrol Jeeps. Does anyone know what calibrator works on the Diesel Jeeps?

    Make sure you actually measure the tire size. Some tires advertise a 35 but its actually a 34. That might affect a mph or 2.

      Yes very true, went back and adjusted

      @@aaronhaight22 did you notice your vehicle shift better with the bigger tires and also mpg? I just lifted my 13 ram 1500 on 35's and it just feels like it's working way harder and my mpg went from 16 to around 12.

    • @aaronhaight22
      @aaronhaight22  3 роки тому +2

      @@_JEBUS I actually did notice it shifting better, wouldn’t hang gears so much longer on hill climbs as like it did before on stock tires, and my mpg honestly only went from 18 to 17 after my lift and tires it’s great

    So I have an issue where it just says disconnect every time. Any tips on how to fix it?

    • @aaronhaight22
      @aaronhaight22  3 роки тому

      Unfortunately it sounds like it is already VIN locked with another vehicle. I could be wrong, but do you know if it was already used on a different vehicle? I found that out when I tried to reprogram my girlfriends JKU speedo just to find out it's VIN locked to my Jeep. If that isn't the case, I'd give Rough Country a call, I'm sure they'd be glad to solve the issue.

    • @weineronastick2175

      @@aaronhaight22 well it worked before on it and then all of a sudden keeps saying for me to disconnect and unplug it. Because it’s vin locked for the truck I’m trying to use it on

    Will this vold my factory warranty?

    • @aaronhaight22
      @aaronhaight22  11 місяців тому +1

      potentially, but double check with your local dealer. they may also be able to calibrate it themselves, may cost more but wont void your warranty! thanks for watching!

    I’d bet your tires aren’t actually 35”’s if ya measure them, not trying to be rude. Great video, thanks!!!

    • @aaronhaight22
      @aaronhaight22  4 роки тому +1

      Yeah you’re right they aren’t true 35’s, I think I measured them out to be around 34 3/4”, so I adjusted afterwards after I did some speedo testing vs GPS readouts

    • @wvlongshooter3912
      @wvlongshooter3912 4 роки тому

      aaronhaight22 , That’s really close to 35, I guess it depends on the tire manufacturer. Thanks for replying!!

      How can you go back and readjust the Calibrator? Every time I go back into the Calibrator to re adjust them it gives me an error code 90 and Rough Country support is horrible claiming I must’ve had a preexisting tune which I didn’t those people are horrible to deal with. Now I’m searching the Internet for answers.

    • @wvlongshooter3912
      @wvlongshooter3912 4 роки тому

      jrmc744 I don’t know. I use an iPhone app ($19) and a vgate ($30 from amazon) and it allows one to adjust tire size easily along with about everything else one would adjust from the factory settings. Good luck though.

    • @aaronhaight22
      @aaronhaight22  4 роки тому +2

      I was able to plug it in and go back to adjust it, don’t think I had to reset everything back to default, but it’s VIN locked so if it wasn’t the same Jeep it was originally used on it won’t work and give you an error code

    That money you spent on the speedo calibration you should have spent on a car detail
