I met Nick Best at a power lifting competition when I was in high school. He was so sweet! He was VERY supportive of the young lifters and answered all of our questions. I wish they stressed it more in the episode. Nick (the dad) is a professional strongman, and one of the very very best in the world I might add. He’s actually one of the strongest men alive, but is getting pretty up there in age now.
He’s a super cool guy, and honestly if you take into account that both him and his wife are competing, world class strength athletes, it’s really not weird at all anything they’re doing.
Not to mention with his long ass time at this high lvl, he knows how to avoid doing damage to the unlike so many others

But everyone has their own thing and I have to disagree with you on the video game collecting. Older consoles and games depending on what they are can be great to collect and they can be worth good money. For example a Pokémon colosseum game I think it’s called don’t quote me. For the game cube is worth 250 dollars if you can find it in good condition. Anything can gain value over time as long as it’s taken care of. But everyone has their own thing and that’s good we can’t all be the same.
