Coming from a family that had parents who never failed to remind us how unbelievably poor we were, it fucks with you. Or from when they install it because they always sell you more than you need, and then do you the favor of taking it back to their store and selling it again so that you don't have to deal with cleaning it up/getting rid of it. Anyway, they sell parts/pieces of carpet, cheap, that are sometimes large enough for a small room.

This is just insane and neglect to their children. This isn’t right. Even being poor as a child we have furniture and basic stuff! Yes some of our furniture wasn’t the same color or beautiful but it was comfy and worked for us. We still had toys and didn’t have to reuse dirty water or anything like that.

This means the total power usage to bake cookies is 1/3rd of a killowatt hour, lets round up to half a killowatt hour to account for preheating, etc. the US average price per killowatt hour is about $0.16... she saved 8 cents by not using her oven....
